I remember letting 2 team members to be captured by squid robots just to play as a fly character alone lol. It’s very unfortunate that they’ve programmed all mechanics and animations for these types of characters and you almost can’t even experience it in casual walkthrough. Felt like this mod shows how fly characters actually supposed to perform…
I always wanted to control the fly characters alone so this mod gets pretty close to that after 20 years lol. Would always try doing glitches with the cannon to play as just tails throughout the levels. It feels more natural with how they don't attach until you start flying. Only critique is you can't use the dummy bomb rings yet, and after switching characters you can't light dash right away until you do the spin dash once.

I know that Blind Squirrel Games was behind Colors Ultimate but if they let a bad team remake that game, what makes you think they're not going to do the same thing with Heroes? Not only that, but Christian Whitehead and Sonic Team were behind Origins and it was Sega's own mandates that made the game turn out horribly. Sega can't be trusted to do remakes, it's been this way since the Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 ports and they're only getting worse. Just play Sonic Heroes on Dolphin with an HD texture pack.
This is really cool and honestly how it should have always been. It always felt weird moving with flight character as the lead and having you drag your power character across the ground. I realize it still does it but ONLY after you start flying.
Amazing mod! Normally, the only way to play as a flying character solo is by separating the team, or glitches. I hope there is some way to get it to work on the GameCube version. Also, did you give Tails a smile in the thumbnail? I like that. 🙂
I like it, treating the tower formation like boxing glove formation. Now if only Tails could have his SA1 attack instead of the dummy rings. Level 3 being Rhythm Badge, of course. Rouge could have her kicks. I don't know what Cream and Charmy do for their solo attack. They can probably keep it.

Miles tails prower is the coolest fox in the world oh yeah by the way Sonic overtime can you do shadow's story in Sonic Adventure 1 a bit like you did with cream's story and Rouge's story now that will be really exciting for all of us Shadow the Hedgehog fans. 🧡🦊🧡 🖤🦔🖤

After Colors Ultimate and Origins I don't want to see ANY more remasters from Sega. We're better off just getting a sequel.

Tbh I feel like SEGA could've done this instead of making them all hanging to Tails's feet awkwardly the whole time besides giving him his tail spin
This is literally how it should’ve been. Only have the other members hang on when you fly. The fly members have their own attacks for a reason.
I wanted this for YEARS as a kid and to see it finally realized make me happy!
No way, this is a dream come true. I literally made a tutorial with how to do this with some kind of memory editor but it was buggy.
Now we can make use of their ground attacks

Cream tells Cheese to attack the nearest enemy, Charmy gets a sting attack that targets whichever enemy is closest.

All that’s left to fix this game’s controls is to reduce the acceleration of the speed characters so they can feel more precise when moving slowly.
