Great review. Do you know if these front wings will fit on the Sabfoil Surf fuselages, like Kraken 703? In early days of the Phantasm range you mentioned being able to fit a Sabfoil front wing to the Phantasm fuselage. And in the current Sabfoil range there's not really a front wing in these dimensions.
Hey FlyingPeew, The spacing is the same and the pocket is about 99.9% correct but the m6 Phantasm front wing screws won't connect to the M8 front wing threads on the Kraken fuselages. You could potentially drill out the Phantasm front to m8 with an m8 countersink but that will void the warranty. If you did that, you'd also need the m6/m8 cone washer adapters to use m6 on it for the Phantasm or 710 sabfoil fuselages. -Tucker
It would depend on your priorities. I'd say most people will like the 657 better for it's looser rolling manoverability which is useful in kite foiling. -Tucker
LOL, I know it's crazy how many times a day I say the word "wing". Sometimes I'll say "foil" and "sail" to be more clear. Get's a bit confusing if you are talking both foil and sail at the same time. -Tucker
Indeed confusing! I think the 926 was a lower aspect than the new 2023 PTM's like the 930 and 1001. The 926 Aspect ration/ design was changed into the G serie, 900 and 1000.
I agree. I rode 930, 926 and G series wings. Not sure why they chose to discontinue the 926. It has a similar feel to the 930 but not as much glide. Would be better for heavier riders in terms of low end. Similar to what GoFoil did with the RS1150 and RS1075 & RS850. G series has less performance and G900 has totally different feel than the 926 although they say it replaces the 926. Slingshot should really focus on their tail wings. The 400 really show its limitations and I didn't find it adequate match to the high performance front wings like the 930 or the 926. The 325 was a much better match but they need more options for different conditions.
@@FoilPatrol so true on back wings. You really think the G serie is totally different that 926? I guess the G serie a bit higher aspect. It all looks sweet to me. Just need to Get my hands on one.
I believe the 926 is a standard alone shape and it's only confusing as it's called ptm. Realistically it sits somewhere between the the new ptm range and G Series wings. Apparently the new G800 is similar in ride to the old 926 even though its smaller due to its lower aspect ratio. There's a G700 coming next year that I think will be the perfect wave/ freestyle foil and wish I could buy that one now. But in the meantime to get any noticable performance increase the only option is the ptm825 to compliment the 926 I already have. The speed will be great for boosting jumps off ramps but guess it won't have the low end pop I like for flat water freestyle.
@@josephnelson686 maybe sell the 926 and get the 1001 to compliment the 825? Those G series will be sweet too, 7-8 aspect ratio are the bomb for me. Easy take off, glide well and dont stall. Im getting a 930 for sure through 😜
Your the man!! been dreaming of this review!
Thanks Samuel! Appreciate the kind words -Tucker

@@MACkiteboarding so it would be ok with the 710 Fuselage M6?
Fo kitefoil is better the ptm 825 or the pfh 657? Thanksss

@@MACkiteboarding in which moments could the 825 be better for kite?
For taking swell is good the 657?
Do you think the 825 and the small fuse with the 325 stab would work well for kite?
100%. I've ridden it that way and using the normal 710 fuse and 400 stab. It's a blast!

I wish the industry would stop calling foils wings.
