Every comic book store in the country has some sort of Han Solo frozen in carbonite piece now. If you really want one you can probably get it for like $500 somewhere else.
To the Regal Robot crew, I have a suggestion for your next project. Build a round kitchen table that is Docking bay 94 with the Falcon waiting for her crew. Oh and it you build them just remember where you got the idea from.
10:13 I fully agree with the huskiness in Adam's voice right there. Beautiful pieces. That Falcon table would ALMOST be worth going back to roadie-ing for.
Came here to see if anyone else noticed. I don't think it bombed so much as Adam was just way too focused on what was in his hands to hear it. I laughed, though.
Good Joke tho, Adam may have had an interview mindset, where they think there the other person will just answer a canned response so Adam is just thinking how to keep the ball rolling with the next topic. In a few words, Adam didn't put attention.
Adam has some hearing trouble. He wears hearing aids but they aren't always perfect in all situations. He may have even forgotten them that day or maybe they just failed. I also know what it's like to have my attention pulled a dozen different directions. Not everything said around me always sinks in. In short, I want to assume Adam just missed the guys joke somehow.
I grew up calling it a Bantha skull too! I felt like an idiot when people started calling it a Mythosaur skull..!! "I got a Star Wars thing wrong..?!?"
Awesome stuff, as always! Hey BTW, if you guys ever get the chance I'd love to know how they did the Winter Soldiers mechanical arm. It seems like an amazing feat of design and craftsmanship as it seems to articulate perfectly even when the actor has to move around a lot. Thanks for the great content!
Actually, it looks like they used the IC HIC. This things almost 6k, and the ones I have built for peope are about 20% of that cost. They make nice stuff, but the price is through the roof for what they are selling. I would have to see the actual scans to believe this isnt a cleaned up IC. Just my .02c though.
Huh, I thought they might be using the Hero Series MIllennium Falcon. They don't produce it anymore, though. Pretty crazy that they got the model from Star Tours. If they can do that, I wonder if releasing it to the public is possible.
They are so clearly not furniture designers. They are prop/miniature people. The actual overall furniture design elements of the two pieces in this video are super ugly. The cabinets of the desk have the aesthetic of bargain particle board furniture, and the clear cylindrical risers up to the glass surface just look tacky. The coffee tables bottom base just comes across as not having been thought out. I think their biggest problem is a lack of material selection design intent, along with not creating aesthetic furniture forms. They could benefit so much from bringing on an actual custom furniture designer/maker.
I agree. The Table has the appearance of "let´s take this prop find the easiest way to turn it into a table. Doesn´t matter how, we´ll charge 10k anyway."
As for my opinion, while the design definitely is reminiscent of Ikea in it's simplicity, I think it works here where the idea of the base is to be simple and made of decent materials, but not a distraction from the top. I'm not sure what their reasoning was with the acrylic support rods, but I don't find it too atrocious, although dusting seems annoying. The price seems a bit too high, but it's not all that out there considering what this is and the scale of production.
I can't say I do. I'm pretty sure people would think twice about wanting to speak to a manager if the manager comes out wearing a Batman cowl though lol
Jango Fett was born on the world of Concord Dawn in 66 BBY, a world in the Mandalore sector and tied to the world of Mandalore. Here he became part of the Mandalorian Civil War that costed Fett his parents at the hands of the Death Watch. After killing the man who mudered his parents Fett was named a true Mandalorian and adopted by the Mand'alor Jaster Mereel.
Regal Robot. Adam Savage. I need a prop dl44 that is realistic but when u pull the trigger it activates a strong led flashlight. And then to turn it off again you pull the trigger again
I'm sure there's a Star Wars product out there for you, whether these guys make it or not. These guys aren't trying to exclude you. They're just making what they want to make.
I like the first half of this video with the Empire Strikes Back products, but the second half is just a commercial for a TV-series on Disney+ that hasn't even been launched. 😞
I like Regal Robot. I wouldn't pay that much for their art, but I do like and appreciate it. Props to Tom for being an EU fan too. And I think he's like me and doesn't care for Disney's fan fiction. They should make some Mando Armor and a Dark Trooper suit. That would be sweet. :{J
And remember, you always have the option to make your own (unlicensed) versions if you don't like the price. Your costs will likely be higher and won't look as good.
Well the fact about the body is wrong. Jeremy Bulloch is the body model. Jeremy Bulloch is the guy who played Boba Fett. I've heard this from the man himself. It's a fact that can be found in many interviews with the guy.
The Millenium Falcon coffee table is $6499.00, the Han in carbonite table is $7499.00, and the Han in carbonite desk is just $9999.00. You can get a custom Palpatine's Death Star Throne for $1500.00 or a Star Wars collectors case coffee table for $999.00. No wonder the company owner is so giddy and excited. He's loaded because rich fantwits are shelling out arseloads of cash for this stuff... It is pretty cool, though, lol!
I hope you've got money to spend. The Han Solo™ Carbonite Desk will only run you 10,000 dollars into the floor. But hey, you can say that you've got a 10,000 dollar desk. How many people can say that.
Anything more active , ie simi working props , ? light, sound , gadgets , key rings , would you like feed back about " hay wouldn't it be cool if..." from customers ?
As a sculptor, I am really getting tired of hearing people talk about how they "hand made" something that in reality was 95% 3D printed and then mass produced from a mold.
I think his problem is with the term "hand made", which I'd agree with. It's a form of art alright, but I'd draw a line on the term "hand made" to leave out 3D printed things.
You are excluding zbrush artist as sculptor? I think 6 out of 10 zbrush artists are capable(enjoy) of doing the same with clay! It's a whole lot faster, and cheaper for beginners as opposed to pouring money buying clay and turntable and tools.
You have no clue what you're talking about. Stuff like this generally is VERY expensive to make. The mold he showed for that skull would have taken close to 20 hours alone and the sculpt was probably 50-60. Not to mention the cost of resin, silicone and the labor to make each reproduction. You only get about 25 casts before the mold has to be remade again. That means you have to pay for a at least an hour of mold making labor in every reproduction. When I saw the coffee table was $6,500, that's actually cheap considering the limited production run and labor involved. It probably costs around $900 in materials and has 180 hours of labor. This is why people who shop at Walmart shouldn't comment.
In what world is a bar going to buy a fucking star wars table worth 10,000 dollars when you can do what the rest of pubs in the world have done and buy every table for cheaper than 100 dollars or less.
Thank you, Adam for coming out to our studio and sharing our work! It was an absolute blast having the Tested team to our shop!
Adam you are so blessed to see all these wonderful places and things. You are my idol for sharing it all with us. Long live Tested.
Woah! That coffee table looks awesome! Woah! It's $6,500 and only ships in the U.S.! Woah! Fuck that!
Woah indeed
Every comic book store in the country has some sort of Han Solo frozen in carbonite piece now. If you really want one you can probably get it for like $500 somewhere else.
What do you expect from a official licensed star wars product...? 6000$ alone must be for George Lucas, lol.
hahahaha, you just made my day bro
lol totally 6500 get the fuck out of here . 2 pieces of glass and a fucken resin shitbox falcon fuck you spina .
I live anything Adam Savage does. He is a very talented and fun to watch awesome geek. Still miss myth busters with Adam for sure.
They should have made the desk with a clear epoxy fill instead of that raised glass top, it whould have compacted and added to the esthetic.
To the Regal Robot crew, I have a suggestion for your next project. Build a round kitchen table that is Docking bay 94 with the Falcon waiting for her crew. Oh and it you build them just remember where you got the idea from.
That is one of the most insane molds I have ever seen. Well done!
Thanks for the shout, Tom!!!!
Great work turning that vfx model into something workable! :)
10:13 I fully agree with the huskiness in Adam's voice right there. Beautiful pieces. That Falcon table would ALMOST be worth going back to roadie-ing for.
9:31 That joke really bombed. Ouch.
Came here to see if anyone else noticed. I don't think it bombed so much as Adam was just way too focused on what was in his hands to hear it. I laughed, though.
I too came here just to see if anyone noted that.
It was mediocre, but most jokes bomb. You just forget about them unless they're exceptionally awkward.
Good Joke tho, Adam may have had an interview mindset, where they think there the other person will just answer a canned response so Adam is just thinking how to keep the ball rolling with the next topic. In a few words, Adam didn't put attention.

Wonderful furniture in the most beautiful configurations
9:31 lol priorities
I would love to work at Tom's shop. Dream job!
That table is awesome.
I want a Millennium Falcon Cockpit Computer Chair.
They need to hire you. :{
Great that‘ll only be 10000$+
Awesome stuff, as always! Hey BTW, if you guys ever get the chance I'd love to know how they did the Winter Soldiers mechanical arm. Eagerly awaiting the "mere mortal" options.
You know what would be cool? A "Globe Liquor Cabinet" shaped like the Deathstar....
fudefite with hinges to where it "explodes" open to get to the bottles

9:31 and that is what you call a bombing ladies and gentlemen.
*crickets*
I died on the inside
Tested - have you ever tried re casting something over and over again to see how much detail decays?
As in, re-casting the re-casted re-cast over and over
Where does the Mandalorian skull appear in the series ? i don't recall it in any of the movies.
Awesome stuff but this really should have an advertising label.
These peices are really cool. I know it's RUclips, but I don't understand all the negativity toward the furniture specifically.
Enthusiastic and humble person. Stuff looks expensive though.

this is custom made .if you don't like it .its because IT WASN'T MADE FOR YOU
This is the unfinished product. Go to their site and see the almost 7 grand finished product. Lol
7 grand.... Good lord.....
Totally agree.... I’ll make you that desk and it’ll be way better then that horrible particle board ikea one!
As for my opinion, while the design definitely is reminiscent of Ikea in it's simplicity, I think it works here where the idea of the base is to be simple and made of decent materials, but not a distraction from the top. 9:32. Missed the landing.
Sorry if i ask you this. But do your partner in mythbuster another program? Thank you
The looks on his face as he picked it up XX
0:24 That Batman Cowl behind Adam is amazeballs.
10/10 I'd wear that to work.
Which would be ok only if you work as a vigilante at nighttime.
I can't say I do. I'm pretty sure people would think twice about wanting to speak to a manager if the manager comes out wearing a Batman cowl though lol
Tom: Hey Adam welcome to the shop
Adam: Did you know I'm friends with many famous people.
This keeps making me lol. :{J
No controls on the side of the carbonite?
$230 for the 17” Mandalorian skull?! Hell yeah I can do that! 😁
This reminds me of the episode of The Simpsons where Homer tries to design his own car. lol
One Day Builds Please!
5:32 Boba Fett is actually not a Mandalorian (by new canon definiton). His father was just a bounty hunter who came across the armor and kept it.
NNNOOOOOOoooooooo
Hate it when they change stuff.
In my mind BOBA still is a mandalorian,
Jango Fett was born on the world of Concord Dawn in 66 BBY, a world in the Mandalore sector and tied to the world of Mandalore. Here he became part of the Mandalorian Civil War that costed Fett his parents at the hands of the Death Watch. After killing the man who mudered his parents Fett was named a true Mandalorian and adopted by the Mand'alor Jaster Mereel.
Steelman2906 the used jango fett to make the clones so he technically is a mandalorian for jango was too
I was flinching so much when Adam picked that guy's Millennium Falcon up. DON'T DROP IT!
Alastair Snook Adam is a pro
It's 3d printed, he can just print another.
It's the master for the moulds!
shout out to the last episode in the background
"Omg time travel is real" lol
Well, these guys have been around for years now. Are there any new products?
Yes they 3d scanned the holochess puppets used in one of the films and are charging 5 thousand dollars for a resin replica of the set lmao.
@@HonkeyKong54 That's pretty Regal. 🙄
Regal Robot. Adam Savage. I need a prop dl44 that is realistic but when u pull the trigger it activates a strong led flashlight. And then to turn it off again you pull the trigger again
Wow, very cool stuff!!
How does the Falcon table look like a finished product ?? ..
it would be nice if they made items that are a little more affordable. if I'm spending $6,000 on anything, it's a trip to Europe
I'm sure there's a Star Wars product out there for you, whether these guys make it or not. These guys aren't trying to exclude you. They're just making what they want to make.

I want a GNK powerdroid that is a cooler/functioning battery or phone charger/and a speaker.
Great ideas!
10k american for the Han desk and they charge shipping... wow. Haha.
It's almost like shipping large objects is expensive.
Yeah screw that!
Just make me a princess Leia Slave table..
Ganja Claus are you a Hollywood producer?
Well the fact about the body is wrong. Jeremy Bulloch is the body model. Jeremy Bulloch is the guy who played Boba Fett. I've heard this from the man himself. It's a fact that can be found in many interviews with the guy.
Adam Savage introduced to the Millennium Falcon. Instantly touches the radar.
Make the game bench and nav chair from the Falcon. make the Emperor's throne and Jabba's couch!
New and Old I choose Old Canon always.
The Millenium Falcon coffee table is $6499.00, the Han in carbonite table is $7499.00, and the Han in carbonite desk is just $9999.00. Well it's handmade in American and completely unique. So that's how shit like that goes.
This is so tubular!
If I were rich I'd decorate my home with these types of furniture exclusively.
The head was Harrison Ford's head mold but the body was the sculptor's body mold (can't remember his name).
The Body is Alan Harris, the English Actor who played Bossk.....he told me himself.
Your right there mate he was the body used for the han in carb block.
...and here I was watching the video and wondering for seconds who Amanda Lorien was and what was up with her skull. ^ ^
I hope you've got money to spend. The Han Solo™ Carbonite Desk will only run you 10,000 dollars into the floor. But hey, you can say that you've got a 10,000 dollar desk. How many people can say that.

Tie fighter end tables and a Jabba sofa
I love making geeky furniture for my man cave.... recently made a star trek coffee table.
honey where are the car keys .

.above Harrison Ford's left testicle

Almost 7 grand! Wowzers
Where are those penguins from ? A batman movie or something else ?
Those are The Penguin's remote controlled penguins from Batman Returns.
TheJimger Thanks
A Star Wars pool table would be kool.
WOWS those things cost a fortune!!! Han Solo Table +/- $10k
How much that stuff cost?
mineguy 2015 a fucking lot :c
9:32...that was awkward
wow.
Give the file of Print 3D Please !!!!!!!!
That Han Solo table costs over 7000 $ And the other one 6000k $ i appriciate the detail but thats a little overpriced and for that reason i m out.
I will take all of those Mandalorian Skulls off your hands
2 people working on Gremlins in the back.
I have one of their large and small Mandalorian skulls. Fantastic quality and attention to detail.
Amazinggggg
This looks really cool, too bad they don't make a Chewbacca skull and a endoskeleton of R2D2
I respect the hard work put into these, but nobody would ever put that in their living room. It's an interior designer's nightmare.
The scene when Darth Vader died and got cremated would be pretty cool. Laying there covered in fire. Rather have that than the Han Solo
Well, thanks.
Did you get that number off a wall?
Ha!

$6500 for a 3D printed table lol
Of course it was made by a hand, the artist didn't use his feet to hold a tablet pen.
You are excluding zbrush artist as sculptor? I think 6 out of 10 zbrush artists are capable(enjoy) of doing the same with clay! It's a whole lot faster, and cheaper for beginners as opposed to pouring money buying clay and turntable and tools.
This is great work but I feel your pain... ALL of my miniature armour is handmade... All 106 hand-forged moving parts, right down to the rivets.
That desk is for sale for $10k...
Is anybody else thinking that the 3D step is unnecessary?
Is that Dave Grohl in the background doing some painting 9 minutes in
it's heavie metal
That Gremlin in the background
I just hate that I can't afford this stuff.
Are those Alien vs. Predator costumes covered by bags in the back?
"We ain't no faceless company, we'll just act like one by charging you an absurd amount of money of which was 50 times cheaper to make"
You have no clue what you're talking about.

If you think making that cost $200, you're an idiot. The glass on the table alone cost several times that.
Uber-nerdy.

does he have to "wouldn't it be cool if" Disney now?
3:20 Thank me later.
Any comment on the Battlefront 2 shitstorm?
GeraldGeer on the tested podcast they don't care, the play anyways
Does anyone else think he sounds like Jared Leto?
