      it is recommended to power down the machine first through mainsail web interface, you can do so from the top right power button icon and select host control shutdown

    I've been out of the 3D printer community for a few months now. I've been eyeing their boards for a long time and I've always wanted to setup something like klipper. I'm really interesting in getting this. Though I can't find much information, what is the difference between this and the other Manta offerings aside from more ports to plug in more stuff?
    Also I have an Ender 3 v2, would this fit correctly in it, or is it specifically just for the original Ender 3? I know you're able to use it outside of those machines as you did here, but I wanted to know if it is a drop in replacement. Thanks.

    What good is an Ender 3 bolt pattern with those USB ports and ethernet port (?) there? If you try to fit it into the existing case, there's no holes for them. If your reply is "Oh you can print a different case!"...then that negates the entire damn purpose of there being a Creality bolt pattern in the first place because the printed case could have just had the new bolt pattern anyhow!

    • @Rolohaun
      @Rolohaun  Год назад +1

      the USB and ethernet port being obstructed is annoying for sure, however not a deal breaker for most I imagine. Most users will using Wifi and there are slim right angle usb cables that may fit. I imagine BTT didn't have much choice for the placement.

    If the computer Module would be able to be bought, it would be good. But also the board costs just soooooo much!
    Just not worth the amount of money. Even for an ender 3. Because ender 3 are not even good printers having a real need for Klipper.

    • @Rolohaun
      @Rolohaun  Год назад +1

      this can be used on a ender 5 also, for the prices in Canada the board plus drivers and CB1 is a good value to add klipper to a printer. The cheapest board I can get is the SKR MINI E3 V3.0 for $55 CAD then you still need a way to run klipper even a cheap TV linux box is 35 to 40 dollars it adds up the the same.

    • @haenselundgretel654
      @haenselundgretel654 Год назад

      @@Rolohaun Ok an Ender 5 might be a good reason to add Klipper. But who still buys this overpriced stuff with so less features?
      An Ender 3 with Klipper is like a mountain bike with a 500hp Mustang motor: just doesn't fit together and the amount of useful features is minimal.

    • @Rolohaun
      @Rolohaun  Год назад +1

      @Haensel Undgretel you can definitely printer faster with klipper on a ender machine I think the upgrade makes sense if that is what you have. I have seen ender 3 do clean 16 minutes benchies

      That's why I'm redesigning and building a Rook I call MicroCore. It offers a closed build volume and air filtering while printing. Klipper is definitely meant for this one.
