Hello Cartoon Fans, In this storytime animation I want to share with you one of craziest fads of 1980! We had breakdancing, neon, parachute pants and STICKERS. Yes, stickers were a HUGE part of the 80's and is one of the few fads that is still relevant to this day.
You probably had the most interesting sticker book in that class 👍
I was a strange kid that worked with what I had. I even had a band aide in the book (not a used one) just because it was sticky
I had several Mr. Yuk stickers in my sticker book! I wish I still had mine but it fell victim to one of my mom's cleaning sprees while I was at school.
Ha! I wonder if they still have MR Yuck 🤮 stickers? Maybe the childproof bottles are so standard now that kids don’t need them?
I refused to use my stickers, I had to have a sticker folder so I could squirrel them away to use on something specia! My grandma worked at the health district so I had sooo much Mr Yuck stickers! Political stickers were free at the county fair and since I was a participant at the fair, I had 4 whole days to collect (in between sheep shows and barn chores haha) Produce stickers were the BEST!
I had fuzzy stickers, smelly stickers, glitter stickers, puffy stickers and a few Jumbo stickers. I absolutely loved my 5×7 Rainbow Brite sticker! It...was...a-ma-zing❤
One time I was at the track and found a new, "mint condition " sheet of muppet babies stickers and I couldn't get home to stuff it in my folder fast enough. My mom was determined the sheet of stickers had been dipped in acid by a drug dealer and I was going to have to go to the hospital...I guess I forgot I was supposed to have stranger sticker danger?
Fast forward to 2023, I'm a 10 yr veteran home school mom and we have the best sticker covered water bottles & lockers! My husband's tool box is a work of art😂
I forgot about the fuzzy stickers. And I do remember the scare about acid in the fake tattoo stickers but never knew it applied to other types of stickers. Thanks for reminding me of all these other stickers out there. My memory is only so good.
@@SteveHarpsterDraws I'm pretty sure the acid was only a fake tattoo thing and was rare and not in our tiny town of farmer. But ohmygoodness my mom was just sure I had brought home something terrible!
And here I thought I was the only one who remembered Mr.Yuck! Believe it or not, when I had a summer time at our local video shop, I swear I remember them putting Mr.Yuck stickers on stuff behind the counter. Until I saw this video, at first I was beginning to think maybe Mr.Yuck was something I only dreamed up!
No it’s a real thing. I guess they didn’t have child proof bottles in the 80’s. My school handed out a sheet of the to each student to but on poisonous bottles at home. I know we didn’t have baby proofing in the 80’s
@@SteveHarpsterDraws That’s what I find them on would be bottles that had chemicals on them. Usually for cleaning.
My Memory Book!
Puffy, Googly Eyes, Fuzzy & Shiny Metallic Stickers
Scented Scratch & Sniff Stickers
Bumper & Price Stickers
The Cute Album Sketch Autograph Book!
Yep, they were so much fun… I mean mine was terrible, but it was still so much fun.

The children literally laughed at a literal legend.
Im a legend? Thank you so much for the nice words!
I have so many stickers don’t know what to do with them😂
Are they in sticker books or just loose stickers? I guess you could always put them in a sticker book for safekeeping.
I love stickers.
Me too. I still love collecting stickers.
I hate the sell of gas
Most people hate that smell. I’m a weird guy

Thanks Ethan. I’m using the App ToonSquid to create my animations.
