Everyone loves Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody! Here I am at the end of the session at the King Aelfred Lodge 7487 Gala Dinner, and I was invited to play my piano arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody. It was a wonderful evening, loved playing it, and also there was great food too! So, ending Bohemian Rhapsody was fun, and you can see how everyone gets into it! And a standing ovation to end! Oh - isn't it funny when my dad corrected and said it had 100 Million Views, the room went a little quiet? 😀
It's only redundant to tell you what a great pianist you are, but I'm doing it anyway. I frankly was really-irritated at the people who disrespected your talent by chattering away during your performance. I't like they can't stop blabbing even for a few minutes, and probably about trite topics. I guess it's just their nature. Well-done, Cole! :o)
@@ColeLam Wow! a response directly from "The Man!", King Cole. LOL! THX! You're being really polite, but I can see the ladies in the background gabbing away at their table. (Maybe dad can get a cordless mic.) I guess I was raised differently, to show respect for people. While I'm on this rant ;o), I feel the same about the people who keep walking in front of your dad's vidcam at the train station. (grrrr!) I noticed in your profile that one of your skills shown is "singer", but a quick visual search of your (mere) 300+ videos didn't show any vids, although I did see the amazing "play by ear" ones (Hanuman Chaleesa - dope!) Where can I hear a vid of you singing? Lastly (trivia) my daughter in law's family name is "Lam". (Be glad you don't have "Phuc" as a last name.) LOL!!! :o)
The audio kind of suggests I am performing for people to listen but its not like that. I was providing background music for the event during the meal so it was really in addition to the event. I would have expected the guests to talk and chat as it was their event not mine. Everyone was extremely nice and very kind and generous 🙂
Just proves no matter the occasion….EVERYONE knows Bohemian Rhapsody! No matter the occasion or dress…it brings out the fun in people! Love the 2 Ladies in black. Your rendition was spot on! Loved it!!
There’s a reason everyone knows Bohemian Rhapsody. Freddy Mercury was a genius. It’s truly something to behold when a crowd connects unexpectedly through a shared love of great music.
Love to all the people who are interactive with the song. It's just a beautiful music piece that will never forget. You have did a nice job to play the hole song for all of the poeple in the room! Congrats :)
Lovely job Cole. To the ones chit chatting I wanted to yell through my screen, 'youre hearing a once in a lifetime performance before he's world famous! Enjoy it" 😅
Assuming that wasn't water in their glasses, you have to know how very, very talented and gifted you are to command the attention, respect and applause of a group of adults with a snoot full, gathered in a party atmosphere. Really Cole, this was an inspired and excellent performance of the wonderful BR. Of course it's so much better on a grand, but given the situation, that instrument did very well, it must have known it was your fingers. Loved the video, as you know I always tell you how much I love to see people appreciating you and your talent. aa,Lyb,ssah
The attention of everyone with the exception of the two blonde wildebeasts in the background who carried on laughing and giggling without an ounce of respect.
Cole you're a Master when it comes to anyone who Covers Bohemian Rhapsody. I'm very proud of how you made it your own. I hope for every gig you perform you receive more and more offers! You're still the best! 💛 🎹 🎶 💯👏👏👏👏❤️☝️
Always wonderful, Freddie would be so proud. Seeing the dark haired lady on the table turn and watch you throughout the performance is a tribute as to how you capture the soul of the song. Thank you.
I had just watched someone explain how "other" chords can be used in a song. Listening, I think I heard a few but they fit right in and your playing is really good. Thank you. In this case, very nice you got your audience so involved.
Cole and his Dad's special tribute to the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration this week. Perfect for this first ever occasion .... 70 year monarchy. Deepest congratulations.
I would never call something like this background music this is just so beautiful it’s deserved to be played with ears open and your soul ready. This inspires me to learn the piano and someday be as a great palaver as you! MUCH LOVE ❤❤
It's a wonderful rendition of a phenomenal song! I think the best part though is all the love and appreciation from the audience! Heart warming and affirming to see people living together in admiration and peace!
Now, I do not know what is more amazing :-) Cole's performace, which shows that a good song is still good in a different arrangement, or that this particular song is so well known it makes people sing regardless of the occasion/place it is played in :-) Queen would be happy I guess :-)
Yes!!!a lot of yes!!!reminiscing that moment when the Queen, sung and till now..And you Mr. Cole Lam with 15 yrs of age..my tears rolled..😭😍,love you dear...God bless..🇩🇪
That. Was. Awesome. To say that would be an understatement. I can hear Freddy in my head right now saying "fabulous job darling" My hats off to you sir.
Hi Cole ,besides your wonderful skills on the piano, you are a very gifted writer!Your description of the event put me there in the room!I think, that someday you may add writer or professor to your resume you are truely a brilliant and authentic young man! Thanks Neil
Dude… whoever you are there… Playing the piano. I know it’s a keyboard, but you played it like an acoustic piano. I understand. That was freakin amazing. And I know… I have a masters in piano performance. I can recognize. Bohemian Rhapsody is a massive undertaking. You did an amazing job at making it like the original. I heard a few expressions of you in the mix. Good stuff! Keep on brother. You ROCK!
Back in the 90's was at a breakfast buffet with my family (Parents, Siblings, Nieces and Nephews) at a semi fancy restaurant. Had a guy playing piano as background music. He then starts playing Pink Floyd's Brain Damage from Dark Side of the Moon. My wife and I look at at other and start laughing and sing along. My young niece hears us and starts repeating "lunatic is in my head". Best breakfast ever.
Absolutely beautiful playing well done more talented then some older people that’s shows how much hard work you put in which is a good thing to see in this state of age
Watching Cole's videos has convinced me that Bohemian Rhapsody is probably the greatest classic rock/prog/pop song of all time. With all due respect to Beatles, Zeppelin, Stones, Floyd, Skynyrd, Who, Dylan, Springsteen, Stevie, Elton, Elvis et. al.
Here's Cole Lam, 30 years after Freddie Mercury's death illuminating music created by Freddie Mercury decades before his own birth. Is not Freddie Mercury the Mozart for this age and ages to come? Thank you Cole Lam for this RUclips post of your beautiful performance.

Another great performance of you cole...who wouldnt have love that piece of the queen and played by you is truly remarkable...keep it up, and GOD bless you mire with your talent..m
That was Truly Amazing to watch as you played Beautifully and Commanded the Attention of the whole room. That is such a Beautiful Queen song and everyone enjoyed it! 👍❤❤❤
Oh my gosh, that was so funny! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 Your playing was magnificent, as always, a wonderful interpretation. Their reactions, though, were killing me. Since you had to concentrate on your keyboard, I know you couldn't watch their antics till later. This is definitely one I will be saving to watch over and over again.
Cole, came across you videos a few months ago. Just a joy to listen. I live in the US, but pass through St. Pancras every couple of months. Hope someday to catch you playing in person!
You.look very nice. ..the power of queen and a great arrangement what's not to love. Espically when Cole Lam plays it. Oh I fogot...loved the Bow at the end. Nice !
Very impressive. Not unlike their concerts where not only did the audience connect with the music, the band encouraged it, making them a part of it. It’s like it’s not possible to just sit and listen and not want to join in as this audience did.
😎😎😎 After a performance like that it's hard to imagine there's anything anyone could teach him about the piano. I know it sounds very pretentious but watching Cole, he looks like one of those pianists who are not simply playing the notes to the piece but really playing what they feel in the music. It's quite remarkable. I wish him every success in the future which I hope includes the piano. 😎😎😎
Beautiful to be here ! Your playing is akin to hearing Heaven opening it’s gates … might be my good imagination, but if it’s like This I’m travelling ❤️❤️❤️👼✨🌟🎹🌟✨ 👌🏼🌟✨✨✨✨✨

Barely a proof, this was filmed in UK after all. I get your point though.
This crowd is the generation that grooved to Queen the first time around-of course they all know the words! 😆
Nope. There is one person. My friend doesn’t know Bohemian Rhapsody, barely recognizes the name Queen. It’s upsetting
@@Ozloz ...I think your friend needs an intervention. Binge listen to Queen, starting with Bohemian Rhapsody. LOL 😂

Pretty darn sure Freddie's aura was sitting there next to you with a big 'ole smile on his face 🌝 BRAVO ✨
Every time I hear you play this I think of the time I saw Queen at the Boston Garden in 1982. Thanks for the memories Cole
