I liked what you said at the end about activism not stopping with a changed law but a changed public. That is so true, thank you for making this informative video.
Despite this being a "disabiltiy rights" video, this is not even captioned. As a deaf teen, it's really frustrating, and I hope you'll properly caption this video.
Can you link the paper you wrote, if you can find it? I'd love to read it! I'm doing my own research project on disability rights and would really appreciate it
Thank you for putting this together. There is a lot here to unpack and many people will have difficulty with how fast you talked. Would love to see this same information as a series of maybe 3 or 4 videos. That said, love it and thank you again for putting it together, very informative and timely. Everyone needs to see it.
Ending guardianship/conservator should be the next major stone in our struggle for equality . Also getting rid of group homes ,along with forcing people to go to dayhabs programs . Last but not least , ending the penalty for those who get marry while receiving SSI .
TBH. I was never taught about this movement during history class at school. I'm not sure why. I was taught about the history of the Women's Rights movement in the UK and the Civil Rights movement in the USA. Abit about the history of the Stonewall Riots and the history of Pride Month. Not much else.

ADA was passed in 1990. Then it would have been signed by George H. W. Bush, not George W. Bush
