Have you ever tried to "Leave Some Behind"? What do you think, does that strategy get the call more often in your games?
Makes very little difference.. I have much better ways
It definitely does
Happens regularly in online play, and often preflop. I think its deliberate to avoid opponents gathering notes on what they shove with
I've played 10/20 on my last bullet and left money behind on the river with the second nuts because I needed cigarettes. I wish I weren't joking.
@@frederickmccabe5675 Ah so sign of degen!! Ty for tidbit ^_^
The term "Legend in their Own Mind" really comes to mind for some odd reason while listening to this caller. "Players don't give me enough credit for how good I really am". I bet the players have him pegged 100% correctly.
He was stating his table image. I always do something fish like early in a session, to establish a table image like that too.
@@jefhay3119 So all you have to do is make One "Fishy Move" and the Table when you first sit down and everyone will automatically think you are a less skilled player, there to give away money. Even though after said move your making nothing but Shark moves and Cleaning up and no one at the table will pick up that you are in fact, Very Skilled? I bet that totally works and you got everyone fooled.
@@danielmeuler2877it works sometimes if you get in a good spot early on after making some stupid bluff or something. Rare situation not worth donking off chips at the beginning of every session.
This call is great because you get an insight into how bad players think. He has the wrong thought process on every street. I do agree with others though. I have no confidence that any of the cards or bet sizes he gave were correct. He didn’t even know where he was playing at.
Have you ever seen the Simpson's where Homer is recounting his night out and in his story he is wearing a Top Hat and a Monical and he is the life of the party, then Marge fills him in on what really happened, and Homer was just a Sloppy Drunk who annoyed everyone at the party. This is what I think is happening here.
@@danielmeuler2877”good Lord, you’re playing A6 suited!”
“I put it there. I slipped it into my calling range as a gag.”
He didn't even know if it was heads up to the flop, assumed it was probably 3 way
LET'S GO BART🔥🔥🔥
I had ONE HOUR to prep SOME HAND to call in w/ I had a blast! Thanks for the call buddy🎪👍
That was a fun call to listen to. 👍
There he is
This dude on coke in his bathroom on speaker phone lmao
Lmfao im dying, this dude is def blowing his nose half way through the call and i'm picturing this exact same scenario. And he's wearing some kinda purple suit jacket with white pants and sunglasses
Bart has the patience of a saint with this caller.
Agreed
That caller is the meta leader
Bahahahaha ya think! Omg yawning 🥱
More patience than me. I couldn’t make it to the end of video.
As soon as I heard this caller for the 2nd time, I decided I have better things to do than listen to him not remembering the details of the hand, and talking to hear himself talk. No worries, I won't let it prejudice me against the rest of your calls from people who do remember cards, bet sizes, positions, etc.
I can’t agree more, thousands of people will watch this, wouldn’t you want all your ducks in a row? Especially for someone considered a “poker celebrity”?
Thank you for announcing all of this. Really good stuff
He said he was in middle position😂
he is an older gentleman, give the guy a break. still can learn a lot from this caller.
For an aspiring poker influencer/personality, it was a weird choice for Eden Rock to make this call from the inside of an oil drum.
You should have seen what we had to do in postproduction to have it end up as good as it did.
Legend says he speaks from an empty auditorium
Him not knowing the room hes in here is incredible too lol
The poker personality crossover I’ve been waiting for lol
I found this caller instantly likeable as soon as he admitted to not being "emotionally built for (being a great player)" and cuz he's a musician. Also enjoyed hearing a shallower hand and the associated insight. I wanted to raise turn but caller',s reason for not doing so (villain is a station) made sense.
He’s a great guy , minus what all the haters on here say
Interesting reading the comments with folks not liking the caller. He was my all time favorite caller! 😊
Donk on donk violence
this just tells how many players take a poker personally??! Instead of focusing in the hand, they rather hated the caller.
exactly
Jesus, this call was painful to listen to. Bart has WAYYYYYY more patience than I do.
He wouldn't have much of a show if he berated the callers and called them stupid.
@@terracottapie I dunno. I might tune in to watch that.
Stylish hoodie.. older guy.. great info
Bluffing is very stylish 😂
40 seconds in and this dude sounds like a riot...
Just came across your channel and have watched a few vids. Love your analysis and insights.
This call is hilarious, I watched for pure enjoyment 😂
“That was my big pot that night before it all went to crap” 😂😂
“Yeah I got him, that was my big pot of the night! ….before it all went to shit” 😭😭😭
Dude this was hilarious 😂.
Happy holidays Bart and crush live poker . I'm gonna win 100k by the end of 24 playing poker as my goal.
good luck homie
This is exactly how so many 1/2 and 1/3 players play. I have friends that still play 1/2 and they'll tell me hand histories and just like the caller, can't remember how many players in the hand, pot size, bets, suits, brick turns and rivers etc. It goes on and on
this guy doesn't even remember where he was- how can you expect him to remember the specifics of the hand?
That call was fun imo. There was a lot of good content and education in that hand.
Reporting live from the meta leaders GTO play
Yooooo SNOOP they're calling me a poker celebrity already!☠️what do I do?😂
@@edenrocks4924 just tell em where to send the checks 💰✍🏿
Can you clairfy? I don't understand why it's more of a call if villain will do this with AJ or AT, when that adds more hands to his range that we beat? I'm guessing I either missed something or he just misspoke?
Because you're getting 2-1 on a call and you need a certain amount of bluffs+hands that you beat in villains range to make a profitable call. The Ax hands that you beat add some combos to the equation and change the math in your favor. You need to think about EVERY time you get in a spot like this and try to make plays that are +EV over all your calls.
I was wondering the same thing
I am struggling to see how this isn't extremely obvious, this concept is SUPER straight forward, are you just over thinking it?
Like the other person who responded said, when you are calculating your pot odds on the river for calling, you want the math to add up to where there are enough hands that you BEAT and WIN the pot, as opposed to hands that beat you.
So if against a "normal" opponent you were beating A, B, and C... and losing to X,Y, and Z... now we are saying opponent can have more hands he is betting that if we call we beat.
So with the added combos now we are beating A,B,C,D, and E... and still only losing to X,Y, and Z. So in this example we now beat more hands than we lose to. That equates to better EV when we call because we are expected to win more than we lose.
Hope that helps!
@@Haanski But that's the point I'm making. He said this is actually a "much harder call when you're up against somebody who can turn over AT or AJ in this spot". I assumed at that point, he misspoke, but then he said it again later: "It's more of a call, if he's NEVER doing this with AJ or AT." I'm guessing he just misspoke twice.
I was double checking since sometimes he uses pretty sophisticated logic and reasoning to get to some of his conclusions, so I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something that made it more complex than it seemed.
@@Dynamice1337 Right but he said it's more of a call if he is NEVER doing this with AJ or AT.
Did he call in on a megaphone?
Thanks for the video. Quick question? You mentioned to Eden about playing with short guys. I must be unlucky because I would guess the average height for the players in my local poker room is 5'7" maybe 5'8". How do I adjust my playing or should I find a different game? Thanks Bart.
Snap all-in suggests weakness. Couple this with the real possibility of a value shove of KQ (unmentioned in call but his small bets lend to this possibility), I'm snap calling river.
_Snap all-in suggests weakness._
@@pot_kivach160 but if you know snapp all in suggests weakness and ur opponent knows too, you can just snap all in the nuts and opponents thinks ur weak...
@bubikart very true!!. That's why you need to know your opp profile.
Why post this? LOL. Regardless, I love you're vids. Keep it up!
This guy is unbarrable
Did you mean unbearable?
But he's been barred from all Caesar's properties
I bet he would have called the jam. Even if the ace didn't hit. He said he lost his whole stack at end of call. I'm sure people saw this call down and were value betting the shit out of him.
I agree with Bart about pre-flop here. But if I did play this spot, then I don't see any decisions to make. I did not play this hand to hit the flop & fold to a small C-bet. Turn card is too good to fold on, it could be a raise card given villains sizing but if he's the calling station hero makes him out to be then there is no point. River looks questionable, but is it? What better hands do I arrive with? I never have AA AK KK QQ as played. I don't see hitting the nut flush as a decision. I'm also never considering folding on a 6. Mayyybe I could have AQo that I just flatted pre...but still. So A6 seems like it's the best hand I really ever wind up with here.
At these stakes, especially short-stacked, it's basically bingo, not poker. Don't know how we can fold river if we got here this way.
I probably Jam turn because villains stack was so small to start. I'm not trying to do combo math against players who don't know what planet they are on...
dis dat and d’utta ting
As soon as that Ace hit I thought JT of clubs
Why is this less of a call if they can have AJ/AT? If they have more value that we beat, doesn't call EV go up? Think im missing something..
Interesting call for sure..
If the ace on the river helped him he probably wouldn't insta-jam all in. He would probably think for a few seconds at least to decide how much to bet.
Godsmack in a poker story.
You should check in at a later date to see if he shaved his head and dyed his hair...
From the record, Phil Ivey didn't call with A6 so he's better lolol
Expert analysis, don’t fold top two with pot behind
40 bigs at 1/3….how tough could the decision be lmao haven’t even gotten past 2 mins
God he’s so defensive.
Wow, Adam Carrolla plays poker!
❤❤
Big celebrity playing for high stakes😂
Dude sounds like Adam corolla
I can’t watch this whole video. This guy is wasting everybody’s time; seriously, you can’t even remember what casino you were in but you want to discuss hand analysis? Just out of morbid curiosity, does he ever reveal who he actually is? Is he actually as famous as he seems to think he is?
I think the guy is a "twitter celebrity". ..I think he does twitter spaces and goes off on people in drug/alcohol induced rants...I listened once and it was pretty funny...I think he is very well known among poker community... not sure why? Possibly a former musician..?....this could all be wrong info ...not 100
@@recPokerFish so in other words, a washed up burnout
@@BaadMotorFingerdude is definitely a character..😅
EDEN LMFAO
His back story was completely unnecessary 😂
Yeah he won but it was the wrong move lol.. Should have folded
I wonder if this guys is an entertainer
Bart looks visibly in agony this entire call.
This guy is so annoying. It’s painful to listen to 🤦♂️
Right, right....lol
Enjoyed call but to much time given to it.
Most annoying caller of 2023
This is the worst call I've ever sat through. May I suggest call block.
man this guy is obnoxious. Some people just love the sound of their own voice. Who is he for?? Who is a fan of this guy?
"popular poker entertainer"? Haha ok
aggravating f.
Probably the worst call you’ve had in here.
Most annoying call in a minute. That was hard to make it through
What the hell does rock opera have to do with poker? This guy stinks.
Negative ev to this guy is buying Chevy instead of Tesla
What an annoying caller. Just as annoying as he is on X.
I like that bart realizes Eden has the gift of gab. tatatoothy bart. ps. Have you thought about soliciting/taking calls from crazy 1/2 players ala a poker wackpack? Your audience might be too serious to get/enjoy it though.
Adam Carolla playing poker again?
