Can we just appreciate that Megatron has perfectly functional dinosaur legs but still goes out of their way to have those 6 inch heels. And they still rock them
VERY show-accurate! I can't remember more than once where Megatron actually used his hip-mounted rocket launchers (the episode where Terrorsaur gets an energon boost from that floating mountain), but I remember them being a pretty big part of the toy---that launched missiles that didn't look a thing like what was on the TV show!

Haha - I was there back in '84 when the classic came out. And that was preceded by the comic book. I went to the Service Merchandise store so my parents could buy me one. They were all sold out. We filled out a form so that they would notify us when more came in. The stores could not keep their shelves stocked with them. At Christmastime, my mother asked me what I wanted. I said, "I want a Transformer!" She replied, "There are no more Transformers!" Transformers seemed like a more sophisticated version of their predecessors, the GoBots. The Autobot cars were the same size as the Super GoBots. But the Super GoBots didn't really have a head. They just had the windshield of the vehicle serve as the "face". Transformers just seemed superior to the GoBots in every way. They had heads, not "windshield faces". Their name was cooler. The names of the warring factions were cooler. While the GoBots had the "Friendly Gobots" and the "Enemy GoBots", the Transformers had the Autobots and Decepticons. But later the GoBots changed their factional names to the Guardians and the Renegades.
FINALLY an intelligently designed transformer. My Bandai transformers of the eighties were so neatly designed. But they were all dumbed down since the nineties. And my young cousins play with absolute transformer crap. What a shame.. But now this!!! Sjeez, transformers for adults, yay! I think they have learned from lego: there is a market for upmarket, up-smarted toys for adults like me used to play with those toys when they were young. Well done!
My big brother ALWAYS got the best Beast Wars toys, he had similar Megatron toy and the Optimus Primal, both super hard to transform. The best ones I had were Scorpinox, Waspinator, Tigertron, Dinobot, & Rampage - we both together had damn near the WHOLE collection, even ones that didn't appear on the show and I had a couple cool fusion ones - Power Rangers, Batman, Ronin Warriors, Biker Mice from Mars - man I miss the good ole days of busting out all our toys with my brother and playing for hours

Inferno has a part that connects to his torso so he can carry Red Alert in his arms. Starsaber has a shield (with a swappable part to make it a flight stand for the V-Star) that was only in one episode of Transformers Victory. MP36 Megatron has the clone control helmet from "A Prime Problem", MP44 Optimus 3.0 has a Starscream head and shoulders from "Megatron's Master Plan", Sunatreaker has that mask from "Hoist Goes Hollywood".

Okay, when the HELL did Megatron use that gun in Beast Wars???
One. Lousy. Episode. Something about hunting. The Maximals got stuck in beast mode and Megs wanted to hunt them down.
Not the first time a MP figure had some super obscure reference piece. Inferno has a part that connects to his torso so he can carry Red Alert in his arms. Starsaber has a shield (with a swappable part to make it a flight stand for the V-Star) that was only in one episode of Transformers Victory. MP36 Megatron has the clone control helmet from "A Prime Problem", MP44 Optimus 3.0 has a Starscream head and shoulders from "Megatron's Master Plan", Sunatreaker has that mask from "Hoist Goes Hollywood".
This is extremely well made.
