I grew up in democratic education and we had a very similar art center in our school, that was always my favorite space to learn in, I would spend extra time there as I had been very close to the Art Teacher, i enjoyed going through the grades in that space, developing and creating learning. Looking back as a neurodivergent young adult, that experience truly has been what I needed to develop within my learning as I grew, and it is amazing to reminisce about the different interest centers that played through the language of art, looking back each project I can remember truly reflected both my learning AND my developmental experience growing up.
I have bee searching for information on this topic for what feels like a month now, and the design and dialogue featured in your video is the best representation of the topic. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this! My kids and I just started homeschooling this year and I wanted a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach for us. I loved all of the ideas you shared.
Thank you so much for this, you have sparked my creative side and I’ll definitely be designating a spot for my kids to get creative. Such great ideas 🥰
I love the idea of clear containers but also it creates a lot of visual stimulation. Do you have any suggestions for balancing incitement and over stimulation?
