this is the one guy that could make beards not cool anymore
My guess is that you bedazzle your skinny jeans while sitting in Starbucks with your typewriter sipping a unicorn frappuccino. If you're growing a beard just to "be cool" maybe Mr. Bruno isn't the cat for you to watch. I'm sure there are plenty of tutorials on how to make a glitter beard or some shit like that. Like he said, bearded is a brotherhood like it or not, & as far I'm concerned, your kind ain't welcome into it.
Brandon Black "aphemanit" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
you need some military discipline. preferably infantry. you'll get your ass thrown to mars and back and you will ask yourself why you were such a punk on the internet.
Heath Wallace Oorah!
this is straight biblical beasticality
My beard would be a foot long now if I hadn't trimmed it several times. I now realize that growing a beard is like growing a Bonsai tree.
Awesome video and outstanding information as always. I really enjoy not just the beard info but the fact that your sharing your secrets to a successful beard and that you too have "jacked up" your beard along the way as well. Thanks for helping your bearded brothers. Much appreciated
Love the videos! 2 months into my beard. Thanks for making these videos!
you are my beard hero George bruno
good vid, seem like a man that knows his stuff without a doubt, been picking up some good tips
I finally have started to grow my first beard, on purpose. It's been around 3.5 weeks since I have purposely not shaved. Great video and it earned yourself a sub. Look forward to more.
My beard is at a stand still, thank you for suggesting the shampoo brush,,just ordered one!
I'm online looking for advice on patchy beards. I see this thumbnail and I'm like now this man will have experience haha. Its so obvious. After seeing this I'm excited
i am so glad i found your channel.
You’re the best My friend, thank you for all your help, I love your videos
Hi George... Awesome video as always. I am so happy to have found your channel. Finally someone is here to help those of us in need. I would like to see a video in what to use to clean our combs and brushes. When I was a young boy going to the barber by myself, I would see a glass container of combs but I never knew what the liquid was. This will help us keep our utensils clean. Keep up the good work and I will get watching.
What a glorious bread this man has
orangedac I wonder how it would be toasted.
Another very informative video to help get the healthiest beard. I'll definitely be getting a shampoo brush.
Brother... awesome vid and info keep it going, I subscribed.👊
Thanks for all the great advice and information.
Your videos are very helpful and informative, and are much appreciated!
I like the idea of the shampoo brush! I’m going to get one and share my results!
Awesome tips, thanks George.
Respect!
Very useful tips! and i loved your DIY videos
nice...I have one of those combs so I'll be sure to put this to good use.
Glad I discovered your RUclips channel. I started my beard last September. I've had many if not all the problems you have talked about with beard growth (uneven lengths, beardruff, washing to often, applying too much oil, etc., etc.) Your opinion carries more weight, as your profession gives your opinion more credibility. I'll be 60 in September and plan to enter a National Beard and Moustache Championship contest in 2017 in Austin , Texas. I'm not concerned with winning or placing, just enjoying the experience and be in the presence of some epic beards. Since signing up for the beard contest, I've met two other men here in Helena, Montana that are already National competitors. Anyway, thanks for the tips about the pine tar soap, the vinegar rinse, and the shampoo brush. You are providing a much needed service.
You sir, have a phenomenal beard
Extremely informative.. immediate sub
I'm on seven months of beard growth now. No trimming. These tips are really helping George. Thanks. I will now be purchasing a shampoo brush! Thanks for uploading these awesome videos.
I'm on seven months too man..What a journey. I'll never shave again..lol
Thank you...
Love the facial hair styling tips. Thank you. Wish you were around her so that I could grow my beard down instead of out.
You are the King
loving the look gray
I always say “It’s nothing that six months won’t fix” thanks for the great videos.
Thanks for the great videos! I wish I could have watched these years ago! :)
Working on month #4 for beard growth... going for the full big beard look. Appreciate your video tips! It would seem that an actual "beardsmith" in Canada seems to be an unknown profession. So here's to a "great white beard" in the "great white north!!" Cheers!
from now on , I'm a became fan number one of your interesting videos and tips oh how to take care of a white-gray mustache and beard, two thumbs up !!thanks 👍👍
Thank you sir. I appreciate it. Respect.
Thank you thank you thank you for sharing Sultan of Silver.
Thanks for the tip I barely started so good luck to me👌
holy shit.. such an epic beard.. instant respect.
This was so an amazing inspiring lesson, especially for me, because I'm also going through that worry stage of the terminal beard. Been growing for coming up on 2 years, with a few trims here and there. Your fixed my fears with "time equals growth" and patience. One question, I'm trying to find the right amount of for my skin and beard, and is there any damaging effects from too much oil, other than staining collars or feeling greasy? I also know the beard will only absorb so much. Also curious what you charge for a beard cut/trim? Keep the videos coming! You are a great beard mentor!
thank you sir for all the info Sir I've had my beard Les then a year I get good response from people I don't trim it anymore as far I can tell it's pretty thick I also love mine cause it had grey and black mixed in thank you again for your info Sir
Great tips!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, I'm learning a lot from your videos.
Grandpa's Pinetar Soap is fantastic, much better than all the beard shampoos I've tried.
I'm gonna follow your advice and try the shampoo brush :)
May I ask you why you trim your mustache?
Hi George. I’m a new subscriber. 59 years old. While I’ve grown and shaved my beard many times this is the first time I’m using dedicated beard products. I must say I like the results so far. I do however face some unique challenges in my beard journey. I have a very large port wine stain birthmark that covers a large portion of my right face and neck. While hair does grow it seems to be slower that the other side. Also in stage 4 kidney failure. I had a transplant 10 years ago and it has failed and I need another transplant. I take lots of immunosuppressive and anti rejection medication and I’m sure my poor health affects growth. I’m currently at a Corporate level with my beard. Very salt & pepper now. I enjoy the channel as I relate to you better than the young guys. I’ll be reviewing your other videos. Merry Christmas to you and yours and a happy, healthy, prosperous new year.
I relate better to George than I do to the young guys and I am only 30
On my last beard (rip delilah) I had a big problem with beardruff and dry, itchy skin. Whenever I had a long travel day and went more than 24 hours between a rinse, I would feel like I was breaking out under my chin and involuntarily scratch until there was dead skin all over my shirt. I definitely need a shampoo brush for the new one, especially after using disposable razors for the past 6 years.
I recognize that shop, that's "The Art of Shaving" I work there!
Great video very informative! Beard on
Solid info!
I suffer from flakey beard. Sometimes I think it's gone then it flares up and becomes a rash, as the rash heals the skin dies and, low and behold, Flakey Jake is back in town.
I love having a beard, I feel I'm close to mastering the trimming and shaping but this problem really evades me.
Thanks for this tips, I'll most certainly try the shampoo brush thingy.
I make my own pine tar soap I love it
I use a shampo brush and Co wash 6 times a day beard wash along with emu oil and a beard balm and u can see it's grown a lot thank a lot Goerge I've learned alot from you bro. ✌👏✋
excellent tip ty! I'll check out that shampoo brush. just talked to my brother about doing some home made beard oils do you have any suggestions.
Does the shampoo brush is specifically for beard or can be used for hair either? And thanks alot for the helpful videos.... 👍🙏
I have a cheap boars hair brush that i use to exfoliate in the shower.
I honestly say that grandpa u r looking awesome.
Hey, awesome tips and advice. I have a thick, course beard that gets dry quick. I very rarely use beard shampoo, rather a beard conditioner about 3x a week. This seems to help. How often if ever do you use a conditioner? Thanks for your help.
Much respect good Sir. You have great Inspiring videos and I have learned much from you. I have a 1.5 year old, very respectable beard with amazing shape, colour and length. My issue is to make a nice shaped, lengthily looking beard I find myself hair drying daily. I am a 2-3 times a day beard oiler, have all the butters and balms, washes, etc. I only wash my beard 2 times a week, etc. I follow many of the golden rules to beard growth and patience, and this gives me great compliments, and respect. BUT...I need to find a better way to get the hair to dry naturally and still have that nice straight look. I feel like a girl without makeup if I don't haha. If I do not use the dryer, it seems to be to bushy, to wild, etc. I need to get that straight, tamed look without hair drying daily. Maybe it is just the coarseness of my hair? Not sure. But I want to eliminate the hair dryer, as it is damaging to my beard. Thoughts? Thank You!!
great video
I had a shampoos brush as a kid with a waxed flat top. I was told it was called a "butch brush". There's a Sally Beauty Supply near me. I bought my boar brush there. I'll go see if they have the shampoo brush.
What a confident man, ahh such manliness ❤ (hello beard emoji?)
When u grow a beard and is white like this sirs own!!! Man U are blessed
I know this is old but I believe I've reached terminal with my beard..but was curious about what your internal health was...what you were eating for that healthy skin...
Thank you Brian
Nice video my good sir. I just wanted to be clear that it is ok to exfoliate with this tool on a daily basis, correct?
great video+ channel! Will all of this work for a moustache as well? I've been growing my moustache for over a year now, and it only seems to grow to a certain length, then some of the longer hairs fall out. I would love it to be fuller and longer, but maybe its just genetics.
Scott let grow I've had awkward phases Once it get a certain length it might change direction that's what mine did
I check my beard at least twice a week for the beadruff. It's tough not to touch it more. The only time I try to touch it is when I'm looking after it, keeping the stroking to a bare minimum; 5 strokes per day. The stache gets more as it likes to move in my mouth everytime I speak lol.
Excellent!! George ,I was wondering if you could do a video on cleaning and maintenance of brushes and combs especially wooden boars hair brushes. Being a guy I didn't think much of it until I noticed that my brush was getting pretty nasty and started to clean it,but still can't get all the junk out of it any thoughts.
Great idea! Thanks!
Hello George, I'm glad to watch your videos, they've got loads of info, can you please tell me the serum to drink or eat for beard?
@@TheSoftspokenShaman thank you for replying. Can you please guide me how to use it? External or internal use?
Thank You!
my beard is just like yours wavy and curly go more into depth with blow drying I don't want to create damage
Warm, never hot
I realise that a particulate exfoliant is usually going to strip the oil from skin & beard (which would be one reason not to depend on it) but I was interested to know whether it would also damage the beard follicles. I've used exfoliants with a short beard for years with no adverse effects but if I grow it longer do I need to worry about split ends?
awesome videos!! very informative. I have a question.... my beard seems to grow out, not down like yours. if you look at it from the side it almost looks like a wedge and comes to a point no matter how much underbeard I have. I catch myself trimming the wedge at the front to get a more rounded look which really cuts back on the length. I want it to grow long enough to put it in a braid but after a month or so of new growth I get that wedge look going again. any suggestions from the Sultan of Silver?
Wow that's pretty much what happens to me as well. I was thinking that it could be that way because the hairs on my beard are curly instead of straight, but I'm not sure. In any case, I'm just letting it grow to see what happens next.
What is this drink you keep referring too?
Great info George..I'm 63 and I have never had such a great beard in my life. I never have skin problems and I think my beard feels great. I guess what i'm saying is your right on point with your info..!! I think it grows thicker and longer now for some reason..I also have increased my protein buy drinking a protein supplement and also eating nuts! Also you can increase your testosterone by doing squats and lifting a some weights..but you don't have to go crazy with that..Anyway Beard On Brother..!!
Yes! I am as strong and fast as I was when I was 30. I dont think my endurance is the same, but the T level is great. Beards only get better as we get older!
Nice beard!
I've been growing my beard since last October and the one thing about it is that I can't over come the beard curl/wave on my cheek and sideburn areas. I've tried everything but it will not straighten... I wash it with Honest Amish Slick beard soap everyday, do you think I might be drying it out? I heard you say only wash it once a week with soap?
My beard right under my jaw line on both sides, curls quite a bit. On my chin it is perfectly straight. I can never have a nice perfectly straight beard. What can I do to remove these waves on the sides? It's not a small tight wave. It's like I stuck a one inch curling iron on it, and curled it.
Let me start by saying that your beard is epic! Much respect. I am 33 years old. I have a 6 month beard growth and am lucky to have the ability to grow a full beard. My mustache is not as plentiful but nonetheless quite present. My question is this. Is it necessary to buy beard oil? Do you have a home-made solution to the problem of paying 25 or more dollars for an ounce of beard oil? I have found very cheap beard oils but I have read that often the cheaper oils contain ingredients that can harm the beard. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you so much for your videos. They have made my journey so much easier and fun.
I love a simple combo of jojoba, grapeseed, and the aromatic essential oil of your choice.
Thanks so much! That helps me leaps and bounds good sir. Much appreciated!
I bought some jojoba oil, sweet almond oil and a few essential oils that struck my fancy at whole foods and started experimenting.
One bottle of 100% jojoba, one bottle of 50/50 jojoba and sweet almond and then 100% sweet almond (+ essential oils)
- I found out that for me the 100% sweet almond seems to be the best fit. It's also significantly cheaper than the jojoba.
I've just been using jojoba oil by itself and it seems to be working just fine for me, or so it seems. I'm at about 4 months in at the moment, and have a good 2-3 inches of growth and I'm going for a very long beard length. Should I invest in any other oils, or do you think keeping it simple will be ok? I seem to have very straight beard hair if it matters.
Please can you give me a tip of what you are drinking for a nice big beard? thank you
Hi George, great video thanks a lot, just one question , do you use the coconut cowash every day .
yes its a nice conditioner that doesn't strip all the oils... and it kind of prevents the wispy fly-away whiskers.
Is there a way I can grow the goatee part of the beard? I have everything else including the mustache but all I'm missing is the mustache connecting to the beard part as well as hair connecting from my bottom lip to my chin. I'm 19 years old right now and I was just wondering if I need to wait for it to just grow out or is there a way I can help it come faster ?
Gandalf, is that you 😍😍
What you rince your beard wit? You mentioned Apple cider vinegar and something else.
Picked up some brownsoapcompany soap the other day, as per your recommendations. I love it! Thanks! I couldn't get the lavender one (unfortunately) because it gives my wife migraine headaches. I tried to talk her into getting CBD oil for those. Do you know if CBD oil would be good for topical use? I picked up some hemp seed oil, and I love it. But, the CBD seems to be today's crayzzz. Perhaps, somebody should make a living by producing some CBD rich beard oils and balms... shampoo's and such... I might jump on that one... but I think the federal government is trying to keep a "pattent" on CBD.
+David Pixley My guest Dr. Ari Gries is a leading expert on CBD and THC as related to pain
Would it be possible to send you a photo of my beard to get your advice about what I should be doing differently?
I have a question. I've got big patches on my cheeks that means there's still skin showing. My jaw and chin are growing well though. So wont washing my face evreyday with face soap affect growth on that side of my skin? I'm leaving it alone to grow I'm about 9 weeks now.
I love how insightful your videos are George however, how often should you exfoliate to remove the dead skin on and underneath your beard? Is this a daily process? or once a week thing?
I do mine daily. It all depends on if your skin can withstand it. Peace.
***** Thank you
Do you recommend a certain brand of shampoo brush?
Hi...
I have a 5 month old beard and a 4 month old mustache.
My mustache is a lot less denser than my beard and also its thin.
Is there any way to make it thicker and denser.
Hi George, what's the special drink?
Have you found a time where you believe someone has found his terminal point? 4 yrs 5 yrs or does it just depend on genetics? Thank you
Ok George where do I get your beard care products
Help, S.O.S. (see what I did there ; ) ). I work out 5 days a week -- should I still only wash 1 day a week?
I put contidionner in my beard and rinse in shower and beard oil after showering around like 6 pm then when i wake up next day my beard is super itchy and dry and hard because of the dry oil
is that normal? how do i fix this...?
I'm Rangana from sri Lanka.i need some personal advices.please tell me how can i connect to you
hi there what is your website and what do you drink to increase beard growth
So, how fast is it growing?
You say not to wash it every day, but what about all the oils and beard balms we use to keep it "tamed"? Doesn't that stuff need to be washed out on an daily basis?
much of it rinses out with hot water and the shampoo brush. Most women will tell you that their hair always "works" better on the second and third days after shampooing. Also using a cowash daily will remove particulate matter quite effectively without shampooing.
+Gray Bailey What is a cowash? Sorry, growing a beard for the first time and having problems with natural curl and trying to straighten it. I think I've watched every video you've put out so far. Thank you for answering me. I do appreciate your teaching videos.
Hi! my moustache grows straight up and out, I can't even tame it with wax (hard). I would like to grow down but it goes forward. if I apply wax it would sit at a 35 degree angle but then goes up again. I have even tried putting some tape on it and leave it for the night but nothing seems to work. do you have any suggestions? it grew like 2.5 cm but instead of sitting it was reaching further out. people could almost protect themselves from the sun underneath my moustache. please, help
Blow dry it
I keep pulling from the chin area down and losing beard hairs.
