Very cool. The bass playing in the demo was killer. Loved it. I'm an old fart (started playing in the 80's). The tech that is out 'these days' is just crazy. I've lived the evolution from playing through a Peavey Backstage and a Boss Heavy Metal pedal - to owning a fleet of boutique amps - to selling them all and playing strictly through plugins. My first attempts at recording was with a Tascam Porta 2 that recorded to cassette tape. Used to write songs with an Alesis SR-16 drum machine - now Superior Drummer 3. It used to be that if you wanted to get your music out there, you prayed for a record deal. Now - record and mix in your living room and put your music up on iTunes. We are living in amazing times.
Awesome demo man! Reminds me of Mammoth in terms of its flexibility in tone. Although I think overall this has Mammoth beat. Seismic seems like an amalgamation of most bass plugins out there, which I think is cool lol
One disappointing fact for which I'll pass on the plug-in for now is that none of the parameters can be mapped to MIDI controllers for real-time parameter modulation by remote hardware controller that would be useful in live applications. A shame cuz I like the sounds and the models included in it. But for now I'm sticking with my Parallax, Darkglass Ultra, Helix Native, and Guitar Rig 7 Pro plug-ins.
I am really impressed by the bass tones and the presets are amazing! However, could you please provide me with the name of the drum library used in the demo? Thank you.
I dunno man... I always get excited when plugin developers suddenly remember that bassists also exist, but the quality of bass suites out there is nowhere near that of similar guitar plugins. Spectre Element is a slow, buggy (extremely buggy!) janky mess, JST Hellraiser is a complete abortion of a plugin, and NDSP Parallax is just... So-so. Not terrible, but not without its flaws. The only (paid) bass suite that is actually worth a damn is Aurora Mammoth. Well, that and making your own FX chains. I'm definitely going to check out the demo, but I'm not holding my breath.
Haha I understand the doubts. Once I spent some time on this one, I was able to get some pretty sick tones! I have parallax and the darkglass ultra from NDSP and they are hit and miss with less flexibility than seismic. Keen to see if you enjoy the demo!
Loving this plugin for those Thicc bass tones! Hope you guys enjoy the video!

so true mate! never been easier to make music! so many amazing tools out here to boost our creativity and make the job easier.
Nice! I use Neural DSP Parallax for all my bass goodness but this is a very worthy alternative. Like you said; it does the thing!
Parallax is pretty good too!
‘Scuze me while I repack my intestines from the floor. This thing is effing awesome! Great review Rhys.
😂😂 thanks Brad! Yeah it punches hard!
Great demo, and really nice track!! 🙌🏻🤩
Thanks mate! Good riffs for sure!
Wow that doesn’t sound bad at all. Nice Plini-ish demo at the end mate!
Thanks Edward! You should definitely check out NYU. They are pretty awesome, kinda polyphia/chon vibes 😎

Haha yeah man! It’s got all the things you need packaged up nicely. I mean sansamp and b7k have to be the two most popular bass drivers.
As much as I love mammoth, I agree that this amp suite beats it with its features.

Picked this up yesterday 👀
What do you think?
@@spinlightstudios Loving all the options, but Smooth Drive with a little more on the High has become my go-to preset.

That’s just my drum kit with a few samples layered in!
Bass player here. I approve of this video LOL
Haha ✅
How long's the trial? Currency exchange is such a biatch right now.
I feel that. Aussie dollar is weeeeak compared to the US. I think 14 day trial usually

I don’t blame you 😂 it’s got all the goodies for some great bass tones!
@@spinlightstudios it doesn’t help my wallet that I’m a bass player always searching for new dirty tones but I gotta have it!

I have the Mammoth and it's so worth it. I do want to try this one though.
I feel you on JST Hellraiser. Just can’t get there with it despite all my efforts.
