    Thank you for posting the full race. Watching it from the pit wall meant I could only catch the action on the start finish straight. Great to be able to watch it back 🙏🏽

    Modern rubber ,modern grip ,modern track conditions, modern fuel ⛽. I don't know the spec for this type racing but I would think also modern spark. These cars would seem like super cars if they were teleported back to the day of original racing. nobody's tucking a tire and rolling . In other words every driver can race with modern impunity unafraid of tire 🛞 blow outs.

      crazy to think that races were lost back then because of bad spark plugs or bad oil.

    I wonder if the leader in this first lap is the same crazy Persian from the hillclimb in his Bugatti. Great cars that drive like that from the Bugatti factory when model Tee's were being produced brand new. Crazy, but true!

      Yes that's Julian Majzub. Using the same car he used in the hillclimb video.

    Gearlever on the outside. Imagine they never changed that. Everyone in present day still cruising around town with a hand out of the open window. Rain and hail would be another thing. 😁

    Does anyone know what the difference is between the Bugatti Type 35A and the regular Type 35?

    • @wolfchen75
      @wolfchen75 9 месяцев назад +4

      the various type of Bugatti t35 t35 ( 2liter unblown) t35b (2.3L blown) T35C (2. L blown) t35a ( sportscar version 2 L unblown but 3 bearing main no roller crank)

    • @jcgabriel1569
      @jcgabriel1569 9 месяцев назад +5

      The "regular" Type 35 is the original 1924-25 models. They should have 2 litre unsupercharged, single overhead camshaft inline-8 engines.
      Type 35A is the "budget" version, if you may. Same as Type 35, but with only 3 main bearings in the crankshaft and uses plain bearings ( all the other Type 35 variants had a 5-bearing crank with roller bearings.)
      Then, there were other versions over the years...
      Type 35T, is basically the same as the Type 35, but with the engine bored out to 2.3 litres.
      Type 35C is a 2 litre car but with a supercharger attached.
      Type 35B is the most powerful version of the Type 35, it had the 2.3 litre engine with a supercharger fitted.
      Type 51 retains the 2.3 litre engine, but this time, it had double overhead camshafts, which gave it 20-30 more horsepower than the Type 35B.

      Aha! Thanks a lot both! I was looking through reports of Grand Prix races in the mid 20s and saw privateers using 35A’s versus the factory team using 35’s, this explains why!

    If you enjoy the sound of the engines, the talking muppets can be a bit of an ordeal. It would be nice if they could shut up for just a second every once in a while. The content of their babbel is not really of any importance.

      You misunderstood me. The racing is great. Just ignorance about the cars. I worked in the historic racing industry for 20 years and before that built modern racing cars. And yes I am English. If I hear 'Early doors' again, I will scream.
