i already liked this dude's videos/musical approach, but then i just spotted the DeLorean model on the shelf.. which I have the same in my music room (hugely obsessed with DeLoreans).. and whoa, that's so rad
Between Marc and Manny - I learn something useful in just about every video. This one was the automation selection thing *I had no idea, and he wasn't demonstrating it. Nice song!
One thing I have learned about mixing is; you learn with every song what not to do. I have made atrocious mixes lately, all of which, I thought sounded fine at the time.
One of the best pieces of advice I got recently, was to never send a mix the same day you finish it. I tend to work late at night, so now I can sleep on it and send it first thing the next day. A big-picture final listen really puts some perspective on things
@@EJCAudio You are so right! I have made a song recently, waited until I got some sleep, and the next day, it sounded horrible. I am sitting on that song now, and it needs a new approach.
Great video! I really try not to be reminded of a song that the song I'm listening to might sound like. I very much prefer to listen to a song purely on it's own merits. That's just me though but every time I get somebody to listen to a brand new track and they exclaim "Oh! That sounds like...". Let's just say that it really bugs me. To me, it detracts from the artist unless they really are trying to sound like somebody else. That's a totally different thing though.
I love how Daniel does very little but it’s so beautifully effective! Wonderful mix engineer.
that dog is super cute. livin' his best life!
He probably mixes better than me. 😂
what a beautiful guitar tone
That geetar tone makes me weep. Well done and thanks for the tutorial, MDN.
What a sound! I wanna live in this guitar
Love the way you bring out the clickerty sound of the pick on the guitar string on the transients on one side
Dude is brilliant

0:20 LoL that made my day. Very good information, thanks for sharing
Great stuff Marc. Thanks for the sneak preview.

Daniel is a master!!!
That shoulder button…everything’s fine…it’s about audio. Everything’s fine.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
More concerned about the dog, looks like it’s ate the weed stash.
Sustain on that guitar is brilliant, also I'd like to see some frequency information for that kick drum geez it's clean.
Id love to trade places with that dog for a while. 😂
Your dog is like thanks for teaching me
Incrível!
Sounds so lush and “right” when you dropped the drums in.
I was looking at the dog waiting 😂
Is there a playlist for MDN’s mixes?
Sounds great, what guitar and amp?
My dog does the same thing sometimes lol
Wow thanks
I really think you should add more dog to your mixes it's deafly making it sound and look cuter..
Happy dog
What’s the name, artist and album of this song? I’d live to go give a listen!
it's Todd Kessler "Only Love Is Real"

I know he's the best but.... that performance is 90% of the sound
The quality of the unmixed guitar tracks is just off the hook. No fixing in the mix here.
