I love how dark buildings are now, looting feels really dangerous. The propane lamps seem very good. You get a circle of light rather than just lighting up what's right in front of you and having everything around you lit up feels much safer. Using a genny to loot big buildings is a cool idea. Not just lighting up the place, but the noise pulling the zeds out was beneficial. Much better to fight in the open instead of getting jumped in the halls and doorways. 36:08 The maintenance books are a new addition, part of the recent patch. That also increased the maintenance XP gain in general so weapons should be lasting noticeably longer now. Cilantro (pronounced silantro) is coriander.
I'd say it took me roughly 10 days of pure fighting to get into the college. Also had a generator there for some lights, but at the main entrance, which ended up pulling lots of zombies to it each day. Half of the days it was really just "clearing the crowd at the genny".The book loot was absolutely worth it, though.
You didn't finish applying the lure to your fishing pole so you were fishing without any lure which reduces your chance to catch by a decent amount. You can also right click the water and click on Fishing, then on the left tab it will tell you the quality of the conditions for catching fish. I think during heavy rain is not a good time for fishing as the weather is bad. First thing in the morning and around 6-8pm are the best times of day to fish afaik. You can use seaweed with rice and fish to make sushi, if you learn the recipe for it. Not sure if you know already, but if you listen to the emergency broadcast station, every hour it will tell you what the weather will be for that day and the next day and gives you a warning in advance for any severe weather events. It's very handy for planning what you want to do in advance. Soda curing all tiredness was fixed in the big 42.1.0 update, and the maintenance skill books were also added in that update. Time really does fly in this game, so much so that I'm thinking of making my days 2-hours long instead of the default 1-hour in my next save. I just feel like I never have enough time to get things done and a day is over so quickly. I'm into April 1994 in my current save and I haven't stepped a single anywhere near Ekron yet! I'm staying far away from it for the time being, with how many zombies I've seen other people take on in that place. No thanks! I've also opted to turn off zombie respawn so that when I do decide to take it on, the work I do there won't be for nothing since it will probably take me weeks in-game to clear it.
@@chuckmillerplays Happens, I still constantly start walking away when my character starts doing another action because I thought she was done but it turns out she was doing 1 action first and then another straight after! I've missed the lure thing multiple times myself because of that.
The game volume is too loud sir, sometimes I can't hear what you are saying.. I been watching all your series, just want to say thank you for the great videos you share with us..
I am glad that you are enjoying the series!! This game is very challenging to get right sound wise. Things get louder or quieter depending on if you zoom in or out, a lot of the music starts quiet and gets louder and there are separate options for different sounds, but yeah I think I need to turn the ambient sounds level down a bit

I am encouraged by you saying that the loot was worth it!
Great videos Chuck.
Thanks! I am very happy that you are enjoying the series
Great content. Thanks. The animal/rabbit bone as a weapon is ridiculous 😂
I think you can carve bones into even better weapons. I definitely need to try that!!

Thanks for the advice. I can be a bit of a slow learner I can’t believe I’d don’t realise the lure wasn’t attached.
2 hour days are 100% the way to go. The slight increase in action time is a small price to pay for not wasting half a day walking down a street.
@ I used to play 2 hour days. I’m not sure that it will fit my format of at least two days an episode

Foot of vengance...metal af
Haha! I don’t know where I got that from
You can't set the alarm ...the Power is off.
Alarms still go off though don’t they? Even with the power off?
I don’t know Chuck… are the books worth the risk?
We will find out in the next episode
@ if a rabbit bone can do that kind of damage imagine what a cow bone can do..
