As a Vod watcher I like that I won't miss out on the stream if I'm doing something else, or I can have something for background noise/to watch/fall asleep to
Generally speaking, I've enjoyed making things more available and accessible for you guys :) The response has been really pleasant. I worry about what will happen when I start streaming other games, but I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it in a few weeks.
@mratomicduckvods i think expanding the games you play/make content on would help your channel to reach more audiences and mayhaps even introduce some people to a new game!
@@mratomicduckvods I think as long as they're good games you'll be fine. I'm an OG PoE1 player and have seen all kinds of people that never touched the game make PoE2 vods and I would end up watching there streams/vids to give advice and what not. You'll be fine. You've got so many big games coming out too with two of them being Kingdom Come 2 and Monster hunter Wilds next month. Obviously people respect your gameplay in PZ but as long as you go into other communities with the sense of trying to learn youll be ok
@@kats_residence same! I'd love to jump on the twitch streams, but being on the other side of the world and at the time the streams are usually happening just doesn't work for me 😅
I think everyone is coming to your stream from VODs cause most of us didn't know that you're streaming. It's nice to chill and watch these long format videos. Cheers!
After listening to you talk to chat, it's clear you need a Phallus Chalice trophy for your regulars! Really been enjoying this VOD series, earned my sub (found you through this VOD series).
12:26 yea the magazines allow you to learn certain recipes or skills before the skill level. If you haven't read the magazines but reach the skill level required, you'll unlock the recipe automatically. I did this last night. I finally found electrical books, but no magazine for generators, so I leveled my electrical skill up to level 3 and could automatically use my generator once I reached level 3. I believe also as you reach higher levels in certain skills, there are some recipes that will be unlocked that are not locked behind magazines, but behind skill level.
Also something you may want to look into for your tips and tricks video if you havent already, this may seem really simple and dumb, but I have found during my gameplay that different breeds of animals (I specifically tried with chickens) won't breed with animals of the same type if a different breed. I had a Rhode Island Cockerel and a couple hens of the same breed, I also had hens that were Leghorns and none of their eggs were being fertilized. So I only received chickens that were Rhode Island. I hope this makes sense. I believe this would be the same for the other livestock animals too. I hope Hybrids come seeing as there is a genetics system in play in game already. As a side note, I can't confirm if this is true, but based on my experience. Different types of livestock produce different amounts of their produce. For example, Leghorn hens produce more eggs than Rhode Island hens. Angus cows produce more quality meat and Holstein cows produce more milk. This is factually true IRL as well, and it seems that way in game too.
I am enjoying the direct access to containers that are in the trunk, I haven't tested it yet but can you place the wood crates in the trunk and use them in the same way?
To answer this as well: I watch a lot of streams, almost never live. Like 2024 I might have seen one live. I am part of the crowd you (and many others) mainly reach with vods
I first saw you on youtube about 2 years ago, I don't use twitch, never knew you streamed on there. I just thought you made informative RUclips vids about games. Until I saw your VOD channel.
Sadly not. Best thing I can recommend is jumping on the Discord, link is in the description. I always announce there when I go live :) I'm primarily a RUclips creator, streams are just whenever I have time around recording and writing :)
@@mratomicduckvods thanks for the response! Been following you for quite a while here on youtube and I really enjoy your content, thanks for keep doing it :) I'll turn on notifications on the discord server so I can catch you live
Loving this base building series. I'll have to finally try out doing some forest survival now in build 42, although not being able to get xp from dismantling things for carpentry is a really bad change imo. I noticed that when trying echo creek and its kind of a slog to level carpentry now. As if the skills in this game weren't already bs levels of grindy smh
When your girlfriend joins you on a live stream, for fun put a voice modulator on her mic that makes her sound like AI. edit: Don't let the tiny fish thing get you down, man. That water is likely freezing cold and everyone knows about fish shrinkage in cold waters.
Mods are the freakshow side shows of videos. I'll always pay a quarter to see a flaoting head in a jar ... But its the last thing I do when at the circus...
On the subject of firearms and calories. You may not even see/read this comment or already know. Firearms seem to be generally very nerfed. Initially, with zero shooting and a shotgun, I would gather a horde, clump them together and if they were even 5 meters aways I would miss ALL of them. Even now, with five in aiming, unless the zombies are within like 2 meters from me, while using a pistol or rifle (what I usually use because of magazine size) I would miss the vast majority of my shots. Distance penalty seems grossly increased to the point that hitting zombies that don't choke on the barrel is very unlikely. This in comparison to build 41 where I could actually have some distance with aiming skill and still hit reliably. On calories, do not bother butchering pigs/cows and maybe sheep too. The returns are laughable. Even with butchering skill and a hook you will likely get less calories from a fully grown pig than a bag of chips. Basically 3-5 pieces of meat of around 200 calories. Prime cuts do give more, but not much. Better for now to stick to fishing and potentially butter. Cows do produce INSANE amounts of milk (like 10 liters/day) and you only need like 0.5 liters per butter bar. On milk, I'm unsure if milk spoils in the current patch. It has no Fresh description and found cartons of milk after power cutoff with rotten foods and drank them without issue.
Please remind me NOT to watch the VoDs while playing zomboid myself. I had 3 heart attacks, 2 hours of stress and an unwelcome character death because of the overlapping zombie sounds.
Okay? They still both use the Carpentry skill in-game. Realism should never be the only argument. From a gameplay perspective, it makes sense to have them both in the same area because Carpentry is a skill, therefore I'd expect EVERYTHING under the Carpentry tree to be included within, or under a sub-category.
@mratomicduckvods but it's not carpentry bro. It's cabinet making. Same reason there are seperate metal work and carpentry categorys. You can't just say "building". They're different things bud. Just cos they both use wood doesn't mean they're the same skill.

Can't wait to see the finished house. On the next loot run, take a lamp or two with you!
Hotwiring with mechanics and electrical is vanilla

A peace of mind in nature but still the slight anxiety of what happens if someone shows up.
It'd be a real low if you're using someone else's socks as a bandage.

i cant find a interactive map of b42

😂 IT WASN'T TINY IT WAS AT LEAST AVERAGE
@ 17cm is an absolutely acceptable size for a fish!!!
@@mratomicduckvods true, just because there are a couple whales, we can't forget all the minnows

A furniture maker can't build a house.
Learn your trades boi.
