    I live in an area that gets very cold. I don’t think I’d have much luck with batteries staying charged in the winter

    These are awesome. Got a complete solar node from Garth’s Etsy and slapped some magnetic feet on it to put on the car 🤓

      Yeah, just looked at those are they are pretty cool. Looks like that LoRa board is a lot more power efficient. Curious if that one solar panel works for people in most circumstances. I see the same thing on aliexpress for a little cheaper. Looking at the raw boards too... might have to start planning my v2... Thanks for the info!

    How reliable do you think those would be in a no power, no network scenario? As an Israeli I feel like I may face one soon😬

      This could be good to have. It is small, easy to power from any USB battery bank and could allow for secure communication over a very wide area provided you have other people with the same devices. Its also very easy to convert this into more of a base station with a larger antenna mounting it higher up and a larger battery pack with solar panels.
