I had the same problem with Vader. His attack pattern encourages you to let your guard down. He’s slow and has periods where he doesn’t attack, so you move in to get some hits and that’s where he just combos you.
I played on Jedi Knight for the most part and honestly Vader wasn’t all that hard. He has like 5 attacks and they’re all very telescoped. The most annoying was the chain of unblockables and his unblockable grab and choke that does like 98% damage
I played on Grand Master and Vader was the one time I switched to Master difficulty, I even managed to beat the 2 Oggdos somehow (thank god for saber throws and that one perk that let's you gain force over time). I alr had it spoiled that Cere was gonna be killed by him at the end so Id technically already done what I was supposed to, many times.
I found Caij incredibly easy - she’s super vulnerable to the knockback power of the crossguard. Like 2-3 hits and she goes flying and you can just dash in and land a couple of big hits, especially if you chain lockdowns. Use force slam to stagger her as well.
finally someone appreciates how hard bode is. his attacks just seemed so random, untelegraphed, and rapid that it made fighting him seem way more difficult than any other previous boss, at least for me. (It was a rlly fun fight tho, loads of emotion in this game)
@@justwatch7091I played on grandmaster and on my 1st playthrough after 6 hours of attempts I gave up on Rayvis and toned it down to master. Put it back to grandmaster right after. I did beat him on ng+ on GM though cuz I had all 12 stims.
I platted it on 5/7 and I can definitively say it's far easier than Fallen Order. Yes, it's a larger game, but the trophy requirements are generally easier. The only "collectibles" you need to get ALL of are the 12 fish, the 100 priorite shards and the force tears. You don't need to open all chests or fill out the map 100% (that one in particular was tough in Fallen Order because of having to physically stand everywhere to clear 100% exploration in any given area). You don't need all the other types of artifacts or all skills (only need 3 skill trees completed and I had all 9 trees maxed out in 1 playthrough so 3 is very easy). Just like many games are doing nowadays, they made the sequel much easier for trophies. TLOU did the same thing, removing difficulty related trophies in both the sequel AND remake. (not counting DLC trophies). It is a larger game, though, so if you want to experience everything there is to offer, it'll run you about 60-100 hours.
I reckon I’m gonna try and finish everything in all the planets but koboh,. And come back to it in a couple months and explore again. Rn it’s just too big for me to explore everything without getting bored
Priorite shards were never actually glitched. It was actually that a few had very specific things you had to do and no one knew what those things were until later. They never patched anything for priorite shards.
I'm pretty sure it was at least implied that Cordova was dead. After all, BD-1 is pretty loyal. It wouldn't make sense for him not to be with his owner. Did anyone else feel angry when BD-1 "abandons" Cal to hop on the shoulder of this other guy? After all we've BEEN THROUGH, BD?!
So nice to see someone appreciate the Bode reveal, not the betrayal as that was obvious. Everyone just claims they knew or don't show their reaction to it in their videos, it's really weird.
I actually found this platinum to be very easy, I got most trophies just playing the game for fun and then I was able to grind the rest of them out in a few hours. I did play a lot just for fun tho and I 100% the game.
So to the fact of dismemberment I am a fan of the theory that lightsabers are like real swords that being having a sharp and dull side mainly bc it would explain some weird scenes in star wars media. It as well could be a thing that deals with the users experience. As in Cal from Fallen Order not being the best with a saber and not being able to dismember, while Cal from Survivor being able to bc of his higher level of experience.
I think it's implied in the mandalorian that it requires use of the force to use lightsabers effectively, I also think it might act kind of like a magical butane torch, in that if it hits something it can't go through, it just shortens the hurty radius
@@netriosilver it’s implied a lot in legends that because the blade is weightless, it requires the force to use because otherwise you loose track of the blade and start chopping bits of yourself off. Of course, that has been contradicted quite a lot by new cannon where we now have multiple instances of non-force-sensitives or untrained force-sensitivities wielding lightsabers (Bedlam Raider lieutenants, Finn) without any problems. In legends the Rakata, and then the Je’dai of Tython, used Forcesabers that required the user to channel dark side energy into them to create the blade, so there maybe some hangover from that as well. Jedi Fallen Order also makes it clear that a Jedi, and probably any force user, has to bond to their kyber crystal and through that bond their powers and attunement grow in strength until they act as one and the weapon becomes an extension of their own body. My personal theory behind the whole ‘bleed’ a kyber crystal thing is that the crystal starts to reject its partner as they begin to be consumed by the dark side (making their personality change from what the crystal originally chose) and so the sith has to torture it to make it submit and bend it to their will, which they do by pouring their hate and rage into it until it gives in/breaks. And then when another force user purifies it, they can win the crystals loyalty by saving it. This is why a force user is always stronger when wielding their own weapon with their bonded crystal, than another (unless the crystal chooses a new wielder like when Anakin’s lightsaber chose Rey).
There is a perk in survivor after starting ng+ called Purity. While it is on, ALL damage is dramatically increased, both incoming and outgoing. Makes it feel at least somewhat more realistic, if that is what you prefer. Also, he didn't show any in his video, but there are a few unique boss type raiders you fight wielding lightsabers who may or may not be force users. Never seen them actually fight using force, they behave more like bounty hunters.
Honestly for the last Bounty I just lifted ‘em up and force pushed them off the platform. Which then caused their model for some reason not to load into the cutscene, it was very humorous to see.

@IAmRob Bode was pretty tough, but I still managed him first try, because I had maxed out my stim capacity first and by the end of the fight I was left with 3 or 4 stims, I think (so I did come quite close to death a few times there). But Rayvis I struggled a little, but found slightly easier than Bode and managed first try as well. All three Dagan fights I managed first tries, though the last one had almost bested me. 2 rancors are just as bad, magnetized ohko, giant enemies in a small arena At least oggdo bogdo you had the choice of 2 enemies or one fast. The 2 rancors just got pissed and started swinging fast as hell
@@thomashafner8487I played on grandmaster and I think oggdo is a lot harder honestly. With double rancor I could quickly get one rancor to half HP using the blaster and then just hope they don't corner me
Fractured history and malice (oggdo and rancors) were the only things I dropped the difficulty for. The Rayvis fight took me 63 tries, the Vader fight 68. But those (plus the constant respawning back into the galaxy then reloading back into the force tear) were a different kind of demoralizing. I did 52 tries of the oggdos on master before dropping to knight, and it still took me ten additional tries. Once I broke the seal of dropping difficulties, I only tried the rancors on master 10 times before dropping to knight, and beat them on my second try.
The only time I dropped the difficulty was for Vader, because I thought the cut scenes in the middle of the fight were unskippable and after 5 tries where he spams unblockable attacks in the third phase, I was done with those cut scenes. The Oggdo fights were a lot easier with blaster stance
i can't help but think of a book i read called "Darth Vader", that's supposed to take place JUST after Episode 3... a Jedi Vader was fighting noticed that way Darth was moving, and realized that that "control panel" gadget on Vader's chest is a major weakness, one good hit there and Vader would lose control of his legs and one arm!

I can't believe that he just skipped over the double rancor fight. That shit took forever to beat. Hardest force tear in the game imo.
Honestly I’d put the two oggdos over that, and the one where you fight the three other big beasts, that one was bs
2 rancors are just as bad, magnetized ohko, giant enemies in a small arena
At least oggdo bogdo you had the choice of 2 enemies or one fast.
I actually just platinumed the game a few hours ago 😁
“look im ja morant” did NOT expect that reference hahahahah
1:29 coricont…….
Loved the vid bro I recommend you go for Final fantasy 7 remakes Platinum next or ghost of Tsushima, both really good games with fun platinums
The bounty hunter side quest is broken now, it's all I need to platnuim 😔
I can’t keep a straight face when watching your videos cause I keep laughing 😂. If that was the goal you’re doing well.❤
bro now i have spoilers
lmao I recently saw a short on how the young anakin couldn't pronounce corosont but the way he says it is wayy funnier😂❤ great video though
playing through the entire game on grandmaster was the most fun but infuriating thing ive ever done
It’s so criminal to play this game without the music
This is gonna be fire
Lol, loved this vid. I literally just got the platinum a few minutes ago. Vader gave me a headache! Oggdo was ridiculous. Amazing game!
The only time I dropped the difficulty was for Vader, because I thought the cut scenes in the middle of the fight were unskippable and after 5 tries where he spams unblockable attacks in the third phase, I was done with those cut scenes. The Oggdo fights were a lot easier with blaster stance
0:16 me when i make the rules for a star wars fight between me and my brother😂
Why’d you spoil?
he literally said there will be spoilers💀
Just got the platinum!. God forsaken priorite shard trophy was nuts. Took a hot minute
Bro why would you spoil
THERE WAS A WARNING DUDE!
i can't help but think of a book i read called "Darth Vader", that's supposed to take place JUST after Episode 3...
a Jedi Vader was fighting noticed that way Darth was moving, and realized that that "control panel" gadget on Vader's chest is a major weakness, one good hit there and Vader would lose control of his legs and one arm!
why did u spoil?
Seeing “embrace the darkness” was one of the coolest things in that game bro
Why did you spoil the story
He said something about spoilers bro
0:55 Bruh not even a minute in, and you’re already being sus
Hell yeah
I am happy to hear that you told the names that we told
Come on why did you spoil it?
I love how you got a trophy for killing Gregory😂😂
