Strengthening your voice: Changes to Sabbatical Officers roles

As a students’ union the voices of students are the most important aspect of the work we do, we are led by your views. Based on what you have told us we are making changes to enhance the voices of students at university by changing key leadership roles.
Effective student representation promotes a sense of ownership and engagement through the university community. We know that when it works well it fosters a collaborative environment where students and the university work together to create a positive and effective learning experience.
We want to strengthen the voice of students and we recognise that our current model is not fulfilling the brief as well as it could. Over the years you have fedback that your academic experience is the most important area where your voices should be heard the loudest.
We recognise this and want to enhance your voices in the places that matter the most to you.
