@@YourAscha I had an experience with a regular house fly 3 years ago. It lived in my house for a little over 2 weeks.
Every night it rested in the same place.
After the first week, every morning I would hold up my hand and it would fly to me.
It would just stay on my side table as I worked on my computer, sometimes for hours. It would sit on a cupboard in the kitchen as I prepared meals.
I would give it little scraps of food that it seemed to eat.
It even sat on my shoulders or head as I walked around the house and would allow me to gently touch its wings…
After a little over 2 weeks, the fly had grown noticeably bigger, I knew it’s lifespan was almost over. So on the last day, a beautiful morning, unseasonably warm, I went to my front door with the fly on my shoulder and thanked it for spending time with me and to enjoy its last days being a fly with the other flies ( whether it understood me, who knows ) I opened my front door. It wouldn’t fly away at first so I gently nudged it with my finger. It just flew onto my mailbox. It stayed there for a few moments facing me, as if to say goodbye. Then it flew away.
I cried so much, I’m even crying now as I remember.
If I didn’t experience it, I would never believe that such a connection with a fly could be possible. Everything that lives is sentient, I’ll never forget it for the rest of my life ❤

    • @ChadKakashi

Animals in general? No. Most animals are dumber than salt. Elephants and many other animals are very intelligent. About as intelligent as toddlers.

@glenmacnicol7825 ya typically they wouldn't be this docile. However elaphants are extremely intelligent and this hears has likely been in close contact with humans for all or most of its life. It has learned that tourists aren't a threat!

I love elephants but I'm also a bit scared of them. Just last week I was in Thailand and I saw in the news how an elephant got mad from a tourist touching its trunk and it crushed a bystander to death in anger on the way out. The handler couldn't do anything to control it.

The elephant did not respond to her plea. The elephant had no idea it was a prank. It is taught to do this and responds to the trainer's hand commands, you donut. The fact is animals are not very intelligent. Animal lovers give them too much credit and it is not good to live life based on emotions and not facts or truth.

@@FarmerFpv And? What’s your point? That just because some “animal lovers” might overstate their intelligence people should be free to brutalise them and make them extinct? Because that’s what’s happening, and that’s what animal welfare advocates are trying to stop.

Maybe you're right about the elephant being trained to do it but this monkey does seem pretty intelligent.
