He states that he didn't, but that firearm literally cannot fire unless the trigger is pulled. 4) He wasn't pointing it in a safe direction. Multiple people, not to mention expensive film & set equipment, was in the direction he pointed the firearm. He was also co-producer of the production & therefore is also civilly liable due to not quashing unsafe practices on set. Eg: The "live fire" events that were held on set when filming wasn't going on. They never should have happened. There shouldn't have been any live ammo on the set to begin with. At the very least, he is provably guilty of negligent homicide
