Hi Ryan! The apartment for the price paid and its size was a really good deal! Now prices are back to pre-pandemic and even higher. No more good deals 😅 Loved the video 😊
phenomenal price! That flat could house a multigenerational family with 3 bed and 2 bath and a well kitted kitchen. If I'm on Koh Samui as a visitor, I intend to spend most of my time out and about so my accomodations need not be fussy at all. Thanks for another great video - I feel as if I decided to do the nomad gig I could watch a series of your videos and know just how to do it, and do it quite well. Thanks!
Yeah I totally agree - this is better for a long term stay, no need for so much space if you are sightseeing all day. There were lots of families staying in the complex when we were there - seems like a great place for that
@@OneShotAdventures Hey Ryan, all is rockin this way. The kids are growing up to fast, and soakin in every moment. We get to knock of a bucket list travel destination this week so they are gettin jacked. Have a blast, keep exploring!!
@@OneShotAdventures what kind of internet speeds did you get at the residence, Ryan? I’m currently in Phuket on holiday and am tempted to come back to Thailand for a few months but I’d need a place with a fast internet connection.
@@johnc799 I can't remember the exact speeds (it was a year ago now, but I should have taken note for the video!). I worked there with no problems though - video calls, uploading large files etc. How was the internet in Phuket?
@@OneShotAdventures I didn’t bring my laptop so don’t know what the connection speeds are like here in Phuket. I saw a review of a nice apartment complex in Bangkok with an impressive 500Mbps connection speed. Chiang Mai also seems to be a popular and cheap destination. The place you stayed looks great and was fantastic value considering you had a 3 bedroom apartment.
@@johnc799 You’ll have no problems getting high speed internet in Bangkok or Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai is also probably the cheapest for overall living costs - my favourite spot for long term stays
Why are we still living in the UK man? Haha. That house looked amazing, well worth the money and the location up in the north was perfect. Thanks for another great video bud!
Such a vibrant and also informative video!! I am so happy and grateful that you and your partner decided to stay longer in Thailand. ❤🇹🇭❤️🙏🙏 I knew you from your 1st Thailand video, the famous BKK semi-docu. 😂
I know you think you got a deal at your condo, but its not a deal. It's a foreigner price, bad owners overcharged you. Other Thai ppl staying at better condos paying under $500 US.
I understand this, and you booked through airbnb. I still think you could of received a better deal. I saw some houses for rent at the time you are there, some nice homes could be rented out for around $450-$600. I think the people who listed on airbnb do not know what the market valve for their properties and they know foreigners will overpay. I know Koh Samui is 30-40% more expensive than other islands, but not at the time you rented the place at the end of the pandemic.
@@ethanlee7125 It's true that Airbnb is often more expensive, but it's also more flexible for short term stays (hence why you sometimes pay more). Most of the best deals that you are talking about are for 6 to 12 month contracts - which we did not want at the time. I challenge you to find a 3 bedroom house with swimming pool and gym in the same area for the prices you mention - impossible for a 2 month stay
Seriously You Paid Tourist Price...Even at current prices on Koh Samui.... You could have easily rented a detached house in the same area for 10,000 bht a month and Saved 60%...Not forgetting the 60% discount you had already received...The mind Boggles.
Seriously I would love to see some links of the places you are talking about - remember it needs to have the following: - be on a complex with security - with swimming pool, gym, tennis court - able to rent one month at a time (no 6 or 12 month contracts) - 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms
What do you think? Was this a good deal? 🤔
Hi Ryan! The apartment for the price paid and its size was a really good deal! Now prices are back to pre-pandemic and even higher. No more good deals 😅 Loved the video 😊
Yeah I noticed the prices have gone back - Koh Samui in particular can be pretty expensive too

Maybe if the Russians would leave Koh Samui, the prices would be normal.
Can’t believe you didn’t highlight the English pub, The Shakespeare Pub, I’ve had the best Sunday Roast with Irish Stout, certainly in Koh Samui 😊
Funnily enough, I will be showing a VERY British pub in the next video
@@OneShotAdventures HOORAY!
Wow that was a great pla for the money. Love the beaches.
We think so too!

Rockin Ryan! Way to find a way to soak in Thailand, and eat all that amazing food for a few months. Keep on given er! The buddah temples were amazing!
Hey man, always great to hear from you! Hope all is well with you and the family!

It's not a condo, it's a 3 bedroom house in a luxury development on Koh Samui (an expensive island)
