If you're worried about hitting the haft of the ax on the wood, give it a paracord wrap just below the ax head. 20-30 feet of paracord give you a good degree of protection, plus, its another way to carry a little paracord. Great vid, love when you post.

If you like old school stuff you have to try an axe with a vintage style handle! They're thin and flexible. Which helps a lot with shock. The palm swell is also incredibly comfortable. I use vintage handles as templates when I create new ones.
Longer handles really up the amount of work you can do with an axe. 25-36 inches is full sized axe to me. Although a boys axe can go on a handle up to 28 inches which is no more than 2.5lbs. Axes are the best timber tool you can swing. I've been in love with restoring vintage and using them for maybe 3 years now.

I’m tempted to get this after seeing this and having no axe other than my crkt tomahawk as I’m a machete and silky saw type of guy. This seems cooler and better than the friskars axe that people say in indestructible

All three are fantastic edc as well as pp blades! Love to to see you back bro!

Hey Tac, love these little husqvarna’s. I keep the hatchet one in the back of my truck. By chance have you seen the updated united cutlery m48 hawks. The old ones looked cool but kinda sucked. The new ones look a lot better (handle doesn’t fit the wood when you split) but I’m not sure if it’s full tang. If you like the looks of it I’d love to hear your opinions on it.
