I am 38 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

Please, nobody stress about creating a look with a ND palette because all the hard work has been done for you. Choose any colour you want in a palette, and then go up or down the row or a column or diagonally, or a quad around the chosen colour. That is your look and it's as simple as that. The first time I saw Metropolis I got overwhelmed but when I learned about Natasha's shadow arrangements in the palettes, it all clicked and it makes so much sense. This is one of the main reasons I love her shadow palettes is that take away all the stress of decision-making when I am rushing in the morning.

you should make your own pallet from all midi you have, take the shadows you love and put it in to one . thats what i ve done and now i have my fv pallet ever
Does Japonesque still make those empty palettes, or am I showing my age? I used to use them for lipsticks…they had trays inside each palette where you could put small portions of your fave lipstick colors. I also think they were going to start making magnetic cases for shadows, blushes, etc. I think it’s time for a google deep-dive!

I was thinking how much I wish the 5 pan minis were the same pan size as midis, and could be popped out. I would make my own 5 pans for travel etc and be in heaven.
Although, I say that… But in reality, I would never do that. It’s too much work and I have too much stress about possibly losing or breaking shades to be moving around too often😂
As far as the midi palettes are concerned, they CAN be popped out and rearranged! 😊 The palettes have holes in the back that make it easy to pop out and rearrange shades, even across palettes. If you own any of the Lorac Pro palettes, such as the Meraki and Noir, you can use the key to those palettes on the ND ones.
I really want a Smokey Denim palette from ND. Shades of blue, grey, faded black, khaki and white. Like the blue 5 pan but a midi size!
I think blue shadow will be the new green eyeshadow by end of year. The next “colorful neutral”!

I’m obsessed and passionate about Natasha Denona palettes as much as you, I purchased most of the collections the 2 palettes I can’t leave without and I don’t think I could ever choose between those 2 , are actually 2 mini. The mini Love and the mini Xenon. With those 2 mini palettes I found all my favorite colors ever, and I can make both a look for day time as for night time. Said that I love the glam palette too, and those 3 are the ones I take with me when traveling 🥰😻 But I enjoy also to have all the other ones that I love to play with and wear once in a while to create new look. But in the end the mini love and the mini xenon are the ones that makes me feel myself ♥️
Charlotte, you are so funny and I just adore your humor. You are so fun to listen to. I just picked up the Retro pallet on sale from Sephora and am digging through videos on the subject to convince myself another pallet was worth the $48… can’t wait to year all about your collection. ❤
I love Mini Glam, especially the light matte shadow. It's just perfect for my skin tone and green eyes. I would probably buy only this one if it was possible. Someone calls it a color of a healing bruise but it works for me as nothing before.

The bright pink in the mini love palette makes pretty shimmery lipgloss mixed with chapstick or other gloss 😊 but feels a little too thick on the lips if too much is applied

I totally agree how you have placed these palettes and your reasoning behind it ,and as for the blue five pan one I usually hate blue eye shadow as you can never get the right blue ,but this one is absolutely stunning
I only have the mini sunset from ms Denona, from a cult beauty makeup box I got for Xmas! The brand was never really on my radar before I swatched that and fell in love ❤….I’ve been looking at what is available now and am tempted by the larger one of those, the sunrise, the love palettes, the bronze and the my dream (seems oos pretty much everywhere!)….as you can tell I love my warm orangey, bronzey, coppery, pinky, reddy shades!
You gotta try the new i need a nude and see how it compares to the glam palette :)
It took me a few years to warm up to Natasha Denona. At first, her color stories didn’t interest me because they all seemed too warm. I did receive a pan of the Camel shade in a pack of samples from Sephora, and I still have it in a magnetic palette. It wasn’t until Jen from JenLuvs (then Jen Luvs Reviews) received her Lila palette that I fell in love with anything from ND, but the price point was a hurdle for me. I tried to save up for it, but then it was “discontinued.” I was truly brokenhearted, because it was the one palette I had wanted. After that, I lost interest in ND for awhile.
Then, the mini Love came out, and things started snowballing from there. I began to see more cool-toned releases in the more affordable midi sizes. I also started getting into the mini palettes, of which I own almost a dozen of now. I’ve also started collecting her highlighters and blushes, and now lipsticks. I have the Love, Retro, Glam, and Retro Glam palettes, and I love all of them. But my most prized Natasha Denona palette is the one I thought I’d never own, and that’s the Lila palette. 🥰💜💜💜💜💜💜
Would love to see your take on the mini neutral too- I think it solves the problems you have with mini Biba. Also would love to see some different looks with mini retro glam .because I’m intrigued but not sure how best to use it. Ps so bummed the light glam face was 50% off at Sephora but I just missed it!
You are so right about the random red colors in the Love palettes and Retro palette! Like whyyyyy.
I just have the My Dream, Glam palette, Glam Face light and the Xenon Palette which was my first one on sale, and the My Dream one is my favourite. It’s the palette I use the most and for work as well, I find it easy to get wearable and also glam looks. Plus love the artsy paint splatter packaging
My two favourites are the Retro and the Retro Glam. I find myself reaching for them all the time.
Yes you are right with the bronze Pallette but!! I must say!! the magic happens with my eye color, it depends what I use of those brown shades, my eyes look more brown or more green, I can make them look like a sundown with that Pallette, I love it its my most loved Natasha denona product, thanks to you're beautiful video, great work👍👍😘😘
I 💯 agree with your top 5, especially the palette taking the No.1 slot. I've loved the Glam palette from the first time I clapped eyes on it - Funny enough many Content Creators were undecided about it at the time of release, meanwhile, I was ecstatic 😅😅

So excited for this video! I discovered ND just 8 months ago and love her formula!!😍 I have 3 minis and 1 midi, wanting more haha. So this ranking helps me, thank you Charlotte! Also, I think you would really LOVE (😉) the mini nude, that one is SO perfect!
Especially when you love the midi Biba. Although when I looked up close to the Biba it almost looks like 4 shades are the exact ones of the mini nude… The three first shades in top row.. and the second one in second row. I’m so curious if they are (almost) the same!😅
My one and only ND palette is Glam palette!🥰 I bought it after I watched many beauty youtubers saying that ND eyeshadows are very beautiful and pigmented. I went to Sephora and I picked this one (neutral colours lover 😁) after I tried on my eyelids and I understood why so many people love the formula. I still love Dior, Chanel and Tom Ford more but I’m happy with my purchase. It is very easy to wear and good for everyday use.:)

I’m sure next month Natasha will have a new pallette out and you will be getting that❤. I’m personally not a fan of the mini pallettes.. my midi collection keeps growing. I feel the same way about bronze and might switch out some colors I have from my old sunset pallette that I took apart. I didn’t care for the glam face pallets with the eyeshadow in it because I don’t like mixing both together because everything always seems to get full of fall out.
I use the mini pallets to travel with. They are perfect for that.

Right at the beginning, just by looking at the eye look for the video I had a feeling that Glam was the #1, and when seeing the “My Dream” palette OuT it was confirmed in my mind! 😅
We need a new ND palette ranking with all the new releases last year. Perhaps at the end of this year after we hopefully get couple more midi size palettes from her.
I wore Sunrise MIDI yesterday and got a ton of compliments, but my favorite is the Zendo MIDI. It’s perfect. My least favorite is My Dream Pallet. I returned it before I used it. I loved the metallic orange. That’s why I bought it. But then I realized all the other colors I have in other ND pallets or I’ll never ever use. To dark for me. 🎉❤😊

My light face palette has the same thing! Both shimmers I'm afraid are going to be gone! I want it sold alone without the blush/highlighter will need to get a whole new palette just for the shimmers!

I have 14 palettes (lrg/midi/mini) and that is way too many for a non you tuber, but I just can't help myself.
there is is something I love about all of them. If only I had eyes in the back of my head to do more than one look a day! My least favorite is the Love Midi. I got it on sale but, it is just not my cup of tea. I do bring it out for the month of FEB just to use it though.

I totally agree with your observations on the “shiny new toy” and most of us grown up ladies-anyone over the age of 30 who has been buying makeup for years and can be honest with themselves… I have determined that I have fallen victim to loving something just because it is new!!! Absolutely! My two favorite midi from ND is retro glam and glam…. I simply feel like a person can not and will not regret the glam palette!! It’s just phenomenal! I do get that while I LOVE and will always LOVE ❤the Retro Glam that the colors may not be for everyone but ohhhhh my gosh they are “right up my street”!!!!!!

You got me! I truly believed Biba would be number one, but I 💯 % agree with you; your top cnumber one is utterly, beautifully, perfectly executed. It’s absolute genius in its curation too. My favourite palette ever, but it works beautifully with Mother Pat’s X Mothership, which I also truly love! 🥂🥂🥂🥰🥰🥰

To me the Glam Palette is the modern version of UD Naked. Much better formula and updated shades.
Charlotte, I loved that #3 5-pan too. I decided that I wanted it so much that when the 28-pan palettes went on sale (2 for the price of 1) I bit the bullet and bought them. The first 4 colors are in the blue/purple 28-pan and the last one is in the blue/green (you said the opposite). As for the Love Face Glam palette, I don't believe she is going to release it after all. I think perhaps she sometimes tests the popularity of her new releases by letting them "accidently" leak on a website/store. And because it failed when it was released the Love Face Glam with Look Fantastic she probably won't release it now.

Bronze is my favorite but I think your reservations are totally valid! For one, I really miss a good transition shade.

My fave ND palette = Glam Midi (so so lovely I agree).
My waste of money ND palette = Xenon Mini (I tried so hard to use it; alas those shades just do not flatter my eyes at all) Hey ho. I bought it on offer and I learned from it what suits me and what doesn't... so not really a waste.
Generally though, you can't go far wrong with a ND palette 👍
My favourite is the Retro midi palette followed by the mini love. I really want to try the mini retro so I think I´ll pick that up in my next sephora order :) Very interesting to see your ranking, and I had the same thoughts on the Dream palette, I ended up decluttering it, which is a shame, I liked having the black shade, but the purples were not like in the pan, they were pink, and the other colours didn´t suit me.
I am so saaaaad! I had the Zendo on my wishlist. 😭

I just have to comment before I see anymore about #19. I feel VINDICATED! I am so darn glad I missed out on that early release and was totally apoplectic at the time. I just don’t like it and I was so excited when I first heard about it. I’m waiting for all the 5 day challenges to be done and maybe I’ll eat my words but this palette is going to be a definite no for me. If you find a dupe for that shimmer please post it because from all the demos I do think I like that and it’s the one redeeming thing in this palette. I actually thought about buying it so I could try it once and then I’d give it to my 25 year old but I don’t want her going around in hot pink Esme eyeshadow.

Hi Charlotte!!! I loved, loved, loved this video because Natasha Denona eyeshades just have my makeup-loving heart!!! There is just NONE like them… I am in love because I cannot look at another. I love your rankings and there are a couple that I don’t have but Retro & Retro Glam are both tied for number one! Also you should note that I bought the Light Glam Face Palette for my Mum because of your “wedding guest makeup” video! Thank you! She loves it.
I agree with you about the Zendo palette. I sometimes reach for it but it’s lacking a lighter transition shade. I have to use a second palette & that was not what I anticipated when I bought it. It always reminds me of Mel Thompson so I will never declutter it.
Loved this! I have Biba, 4 midi palettes, the light and dark face palettes, and about 6 minis. My all-time favorite--by a mile--is the Retro palette. At first glance, it looks very rose/berry/burgundy, but you are correct: there are actually a LOT of neutrals in there, and those are the shades I use the most. The shade Jude is absolutely stunning and is my favorite lid color. I use Nude Mauve and just a little bit of Apart in the crease (for some depth), a wee bit of Psychedelic in the inner third of the eyelid, and that beautiful pinkish-white matte, Mod, on the brown bone, and that look is PERFECTION. I love the Glam pallet, also, but not nearly as much as Retro. I have to admit that I was actually a little disappointed in Biba, because the shades are so heavily on the warm side. I was hoping for more cool/neutrals, but the palette seems quite warm to me. I bought the My Dream palette, but the colors are so dark, and it is also lacking a very light shade, for highlighting, which bothers me. My favorite mini is actually the mini Zendo. I don't have the large Zendo palette but the silvery (and slightly greenish) shimmer in the mini Zendo is just gorgeous.
Hey Charlotte! Love this video ranking. I only have the Retro but I absolutely love it and reach for it often. I have greens from SG but I need the Glam palette and would jump on the blue 5 pan in a New York minute. Unless something knocks my socks off like Retro did, Glam will be my next eyeshadow purchase. I’m with you on the neutral side with the shimmer pop for everyday wear! Thanks for this fun video!
Great video. I was surprised you don't have the Camel five-pan. The Glam palette was the first ND palette I bought. I now have a similar number to you with a lot of overlap but a few different ones too.

I wore the Sunset palette today and I had the most beautiful eye look ever. I took some shades out of my Glam palette and put those in the Zendo to make that palette more “me”. My Glam palette itself has been a dumping ground for all rejected shades from my other palettes.

I only started trying her eyeshadows when I bought the My Dream palette and it was a learning curve to know not to use the eyeshadow primer I normally use. Thankfully a Facebook page I'm on had people that told me not to use that primer. Now - I'll never turn back. I love her shadows the best because of the sparkling, glossy, gorgeous shades. Now I want more of hers. Actually I don't care what people think when I wear them - I love the way it looks.
Which primer didn’t work for you? I use UD Anti-Aging Primer Potion.

Love ranking videos, my favourite ND palette is midi Glam it's just so beautiful then it's big Biba, mini Biba, my dream palette, Retro Galm, mini Love, mini nude, midi Retro, mini Glam, mini Gold, mini Retro, mini Zendo and at the bottom it's mini Metropolis and Xenon. I really wish ND would bring the Blue palette back and another thing where is the Love face palette 🧐 had ND forgotten to release it, i thought this was for Valentines day 🤔
OMG Nooooooooo, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Love mini palette (is that enough LOVE?) ... I am not very adventurous with eyeshadow, but for some reason I find this palette really exciting and versatile .. Patty Alonso has a tutorial demonstrating 3 different eye looks using just this quint (I know you love that word!!). Watching her tutorial made it really easy for me to become less wary of pinks and banish the inner scaredy-cat (well kind of, I am still scared of turqiouses .. probably a trauma left over from watching 1970s soap operas). Any how, I feel like a true eyeshadow explorer now .. a bit like Dora but older!!! 😂

It is interesting how we can be attracted to the way a palette looks but then not love the way it translates on the eye. I LOVE to stare at and swatch my glam palette - it is so beautiful and sophisticated and somehow I want to *be* that palette. And yet, when I put it on my actual eyelids it looks like I got punched in face. Or that I am going out clubbing. Or that I got punched in the face after a hard night of clubbing. So basically it's just all wrong for me. And yet I will never declutter it, clinging to the fantasy that some day it will work with my undertones. Ha! Thanks for a fun video!

I do love the minis but find myself reaching for the midis more. Fave has to be midi glam and then midi bronze in the summer months
