I am so hurt by this news. I listen to Pastor Morris daily and I have learned so much from his teachings. He has stated many times in his messages that he had an inappropriate relationship years ago. But I never thought it was with an under age person. I will continue to pray for the victim and for Christians everywhere. Please Lord help us to walk according to Your Will 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾in Jesus name I pray Amen 😢
And after praying for them, should be called the appropriate judicial authorities.
Of course the Church is under attack by its worst enemies; their own authorities.

I heard of another Pastor who had to resign from ministry because he was having sex with his fiancé who was soon to be married, should have gotten married as soon as possible why wait? The flesh is weak, but the spirit to help with our weaknesses. They should have known better.
What next?
I believe if we all really submit ourselves to God, we can avoid many of the things we do! It truly takes dying to self.

I am not in a position to pass judgment. He has many times admitted in the pulpit that he had been a horrible person and had done heinous things when he was young. Why didn’t her parents protect her after it was revealed. From 12 to 16 years old. OMG. All things done in the darkness come to light. I pray for all involved. IT IS TRULY A SERIOUS MESS!!!!
Sin brings consequences and you never know when they will hit the fan. Some consequences are immediate. Some are what we are seeing now with Pastor Morris. He had to have known that one day just like David it would be revealed. Did he live in constant torment? I honestly think he must have. I feel sorry for everyone involved. Actually you are if you’re a Christian. The Bible tells us in 1Corinthians 5:7 that Christians should judge those who are sinning within the church, but not outsiders. This is why the church is so out of order. Christians refuse to speak up when they see sinful behavior in leadership, therefore all sorts of wickedness runs rampant.
Actually, we are called to pass judgement on sins. In fact, the apostle Paul commanded to rebuke elders who are in sin PUBLICLY.
Ive been a member of Gateway since 1999 when me and maybe 10 other people were meeting in Robert’s living room! I’m very sad too. I’m reading why Pastor Jimmy Evan’s resigned and it just is very sad. It’s all sad.

the issue with Robert Morris is a 40 year old issue. I know this from a very close friend who has been Pastor Robert's pastor and mentor for many years.

The time for him to pay for his "crimes" not just sins is clearly LONG overdue! He has profited from his false online sermons by also taking money from public donations, for years. He could never repay all that he has done. How do you forgive someone who never did repent?
