That's been my philosophy for years Mike.. "There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing!" Unfortunately my mobility scooter would disagree! It really doesn't like the rain!😒😒. The Dingle Peninsula looks fantastic! One for the 'Bucket List' methinks!

Wonderful to have Tim help with local knowledge. And having been a regular workshop participant would know what kind knowledge is going to be helpful!! Such fun to do. Hope the mini bus gets sorted soon. Those logistical things matter!

Hi Mike, Top of the morning to you. It's great to see your outdoor videos, What a lovely place Ireland is, Loved the Blue and Yellow colour of the shops in Dingle. The reflection from the church was really nice, like a mirror. Loved all the photos you took, nice sticker on the car. Was Mrs Brown from Mrs Brown's Boys there,,, The sticker reminded me of Mrs Brown. Thanks for this video i really enjoyed it.

I love the enthusiasm that oozes out of your videos Mike. I have just signed up for the November Morocco Workshop - found your stuff online a couple of years ago and been enjoying the short tutorials as little treats ever since. I clicked on the Ireland promo out of curiosity to see where you were looking and it's a cracker - I spent several summers many moons ago as a geology student mapping those rocks and loving the dramatic scenery. Try Donegal if you get the chance - same light and drama, same disregard for officialdom (my ex-wife described it as the Wild West, but in a nice way) and only two and a bit hours from the Belfast ferry. See you in November.

Minard beach is Beautiful, the rocks are like giant eggs. County Kerry is great for landscape photographers. Hope you enjoyed your trip

You say you are on the “Dingle peninsula, Southern Ireland”. If you want to welcomed in the local pubs, it’s best to drop the “southern” bit (that identity ended in 1922).

I will no longer use the weather as an excuse to not go out and shoot something. Oftentimes I use that as a reason to not go out. I will remember the "only bad clothing" reference. Thanks!
Maybe if this one doesn`t work out, try a weekender in Ireland as the one in the North "Enniskillen" was successful. Best of luck with it anyway.

Hello, I am traveling to southern Ireland tomorrow for 9 days and was wondering if it would be worth taking my Tamron 150-55 (to apsc) with me. Unfortunately I don't have a 70-200 and would otherwise only have my 18-55 as the longest focal length. Is a Supertele worth it in Ireland?
HI @felixmeister3622. I mostly shoot 18-55mm because I like the look of that range. However sometimes an opportunity presents itself which will need something else so I carry 3 lenses covering from 10-200mm for when it does. If you have an 18-55 and 55-150 that's a pretty good range and I'd certainly take it because no one knows what opportunities will present themselves. You may need the 150 for a nice bokeh effect on a flower close up or to compress scenery or maybe the 15 to get an intamate feel with the same subject whilst showing more about its location.
Judging from the question I think you could use some help with the concept of focal lengths as an aid to composition and my Masterclass In Photography course will give you that and more. You can even try before you buy at the link below... MB

there IS such a thing as bad weather.... typical grey misty drizzel.... we get lots of it in Ireland. BUT when its not like that, Kerry is about the best place to be for photos.

Are you shooting micro 4/3rds? Your gear looks small.
It's a Fuji XT2 which has an X-Trans CMOS III sensor. Love that camera because the lenses are great, main controls are on the body not in a menu and it's nice and small... MB

Hmm not looking to good Mike, 0/10 places filled with little over 2 weeks left, Maybe £3000 was a big ask for Ireland.
I take deposits but they're always fully refundable up until confirmation because of exactly this situation. It's a shame but sometimes external market forces are at work too - it will get pulled if no-one signs up soon....
