Hi where is the button from start stop now ? Also what about manufacturer subwoofers that's is fitted under each front seat it's this radio powering them?
Thank you. Extremely useful and detailed video . Unfortunately I cannot get the canbus connex 2 in SA . I will have to live without my steerin* controls . 😭
what are you supposed to do with the parking sensor button? i see you can get a different ashtray frame to put it there but i cant be arsed with all that. its not like i need the button as id never use it but im not sure if the parking sensors will work without it
HI, is there no 12v permanent connection on the fuse box?? Every person I've spoken to has said "Oh, just plug it into the fuse box". I've looked on forums, and my where I've got the yellow cable is apparently meant to be 12v permanent But from the looks of it, it isn't..... Oh btw I have the e90 from 2007.
That double din conversion fascia is shiiiiit.... The bottom corners alone would have me throwing the car back at you to either rectify or return to factory. Should have removed the glovebox instead of messing around with the rods, you'll also find the fuse board behind there with some nice perm feed options. Using those mic clips aswell.. they touch the glass and so transmit road/wind noise sraight to the mic, pop the light out and attach via the sticky pad to the light when you refit it
Facia sucks take it up with aerpro. Everything else you’re wrong on, all tested and worked a treat. BMW are known for their fuse boxes PERM turning off completely……
@@TheFittingBay Mate, ive been fitting aftermarket equipment to cars professionally since the 90's, ive lost track of the amount of these ive worked on. Im not wrong. Perm wire is red with black trace
Hello I need help. My E90 has rear parking sensors. Ever since headunit install I’ve lost the beeping sound? I used the same steering wheel control harness as in the video. Running a Sony xav-ax1000. Works perfectly otherwise. All warning charms are there just no parking sensors beeps.
Do NOT use your hands on the carpet edge plastic, use a trim pop or you'll end up with carpal tunnel like me! Incidentally, right hand kick panel (RHD) cars, you have a thick red from the battery to the jump start terminal under the bonnet, go there rather than the boot.
Art * There sure is. That whole fuse box turns off constant after a while. If you leave a test light in one of the pins and lock the car you’ll see it lose power. Hence running directly to the battery.
@@TheFittingBay no its the basic model. Factory head unit(no display/navi) up in the top Din and the bottom is the Auto A/C controls. The HDC is at the very bottom. Wondering if I install the radio, is there an alternate way to turn on the hill decline button if I have to get rid of it?
marc davis Thanks for that. Aerpro / TDJ do not seem to have anything. Jump onto stingeraustralia.com.au/product/mt95-9306b/ and have a look. They have a seperate piece which is what you need for retention 😊
Nice, all the head units in Europe have the ISO plugs (step two) with the radio.

good tutorial but all the other videos have shown that yellow fuse wire going into a empty 40A slot on the fusebox
Can I use that same adapter for a Chinese head unit and how would I connect it to it especially key one and key too

Thanks guys, appreciate your video and efforts 👍🏻
how do you get rid of the
SOS code once you install the new radio
ok what if i have the screen in my car? i wanna replace that with something more updated. any suggestions?
Link for the SWC unit please.
can you not connect the yellow wire anywhere else like the ciggarette lighter socket??
what if i have heated seat options?
You plugged the SWC unit to power, it should go to head unit THEN supply otherwise the steering wheel controls won't work.

Have a look at your local audio supplier store as there might be a facia with dedicated park sensor button
@@TheFittingBay 👍
So I went on their page trying to purchase the wiring and it just shows me a barcode any idea?
Google the part number :)

I think there is 1 spot that doesn't turn off but by the time you test it might as well just run a cable to the back.
Great tutorial! Thank you for sharing!
Where abouts are you guys located??
Can someone tell me if the 13 inch rotatable screen will fit e90??????????

nope don't think so.
Would a pioneer AVH3200DVD fit in a 2006 E91 330xi ? thanks
did you connect the yellow wire to the + or - pole of the battery?
I presume you worked it out by now, but it would be for the +ve side
I need the name of the harness for my bmw 2006 325i

If it came with the little speaker, its wiring or product fault. If it didn't come with a speaker its the wrong part.
What happens to the seat warmer buttons?
wondering the same how can u keep that functionality?
Is this the same install for a 2007 left hand drive?
Yes :)
Good evening can I get an 8" stereo in my e90?
kirt Franklin With custom Facia or perfect fit kit from Alpine or a Chinese radio with custom Facia, yes. Otherwise no.

It’s the same for the e92 right?
Hi I’m installing pioneer double din radio wire all same like yours but don’t save radio station and song memory need search every time again? Thanks
Hey mate. The constant (yellow) wire has to go directly to the battery.

what if my e90 has a third bar at the bottom for the HDC(downhill) button? I see this vehicle did not have it. Do I have to remove it? Thanks
