You can add raising Maul to the list. Even after being disillusioned by the Sith, his upbringing by Sidious ensured that he could never have anything other than a menace to the galaxy. Think about it: he could have gotten revenge against his master by spilling the beans on Order 66, but his hatred of the Jedi was too deeply ingrained that he would never do that no matter how much he hated his former master. Not to mention, when being a Sith did not pan out for him, he just became a crime lord because violence and intimidation is all he really knows and his only purpose in life at that point was to find a means to enact revenge on the likes of Sidious and Kenobi.
People come to Star Wars from a Dragon Ball Z mindset. Where they compare characters solely from a power level perspective. But Star Wars is far different than that. What makes certain characters the most powerful is their mentality, their knowledge, their willingness to do whatever needs to be done. Palpatine is by far the most strongest sith that ever lived. He accumulated every piece of knowledge passed down from sith and he monopolized on that information, becoming a far greater sith than ever seen before. He created an unjust empire that lasted for 20 years, which people don't realize how actually impressive that is.
It's a good point, however lots of the more powerful knowledge of the baneite sith was destroyed by Darth Gravid. However some were later redescovered, such as essence transfer, it does at least create the possibility of a more powerful lord prior to him via the force, however I do agree that no other sith lord was as impressive in political power.
Palpatine did not acquire every piece of Sith knowledge because he never acquired Plagueis' knowledge, not to mention the countless techniques that were used by the ancient Sith.

I always remember in the novelization of Star Wars movies. Luke was overwhelmed by the power that he radiated, the evil. But he had complete and utter control of it.
George wrote Poppa Palpatine way worse than the devil. The devil started out as an angel, then fell from grace to become evil. Palpatine was for the pit from the start.
oh yeah easily. there may have been ancient sith that could compete with palps in terms of force sensitivity/midichlorian count or overall force power (nihilus with his op asf force drain and his red force lightning, or vitiate with his ability to destroy minds) and connection to the dark side, but not a single one of them comes remotely close to matching the pure evil that darth sidious was. someone else said this already, but sidious is definitely worse than the devil. the devil used to be an angel, the highest ranking and most beautiful of God’s angels, but his jealousy, envy and greed got the better of him which ultimately led to his casting out. lucifer didn’t rebel out of pure malice, even if he was irredeemable, but he rebelled because he did not want to be a second in command, more bluntly he didn’t like being told what to do and thus he felt enslaved even in heaven. by the way, this is not justifiable in any way, he committed a grave atrocity against the one and only God that could have taught him discipline, but ultimately what happened with lucifer is eerily similar to what im sure all of us humans can relate to; letting our emotions get the better of us. even if we wanted to do good, when we feel trapped or unsatisfied, our emotions ramp up, and if they aren’t dealt with in a healthy manner, it boils over into something we may or may not have ever meant to happen. DARTH SIDIOUS, on the other hand, was born evil. he didn’t obey for a time then cry like a baby when he didnt get his way, from the moment he was able to form coherent thoughts he already knew what he wanted from life; absolute power. there were no conflicting emotions, lots of betrayal yes, but letting emotions cloud his judgement? palps has never done that (except maybe when he didnt think vader would turn against him, but that’s more overconfidence, not emotion). palps has always had discipline and an ability to think very critically and outside the box if you will. he also possessed immense charisma and people skills, as well as force cloak, so playing the galaxy was light work to him. everything was meticulously planned, but not out of hatred like satan had. he did it out of a cold, sadistic disregard for any and everyone but himself. he’s #1 in all of cinema, and possibly fiction as a whole.
I still say Plagueis was the ultimate Sith Master, and his apprentice learned everything from him. With this in mind, why would anyone believe he was killed by a man who had already lied his way to the top?
Had my GF watch all the star wars movie last week and she absolutely hated every time sidious appeared on screen. She especially wanted to punch him when he was talking to luke 😂
@@hamstermc7807 That is the ultimate question isn’t it?! She watched Episode 7-9 with me in theaters on release day. That was her first exposure to Star Wars that’s why she didn’t like them. @@saintgilla4404 I’m glad to hear it! Always nice to see a new Star Wars fan be created. And yeah, I’d agree that release order has the most merit for a first time viewer, but chronological does have its own benefits in general. And episodes 1-6 (as well as the absolute banger that is Clone Wars 2003, thank the Force for Gennedy Tartakovsky) seem to definitely be the best way to hook someone in. I recently introduced a friend to the franchise who hadn’t seen any Star Wars before, but was planning on joining another friend of mine’s next ttrpg campaign, which happened to be SW5e - so what we did was, a couple months ago the GM and I sat down and marathoned all 6 movies in release order with him. @jaquariusrodgers7299 Galen Erso is the father of the main protagonist in the _Rogue One_ movie. He was the engineer who intentionally designed the Death Star where someone could blow it up by shooting an explosive into the thermal exhaust port.
When it comes to villainy, Sidious is the GOAT. He was inspired from our conception of the devil. This is why he's my favorite villain, he's evil incarnate.
There are a few of the early years of Sieve Palatine that were left out . When he was younger he would put the blue mike container that was empty back in the refrigeration unit without telling any one. He often would leave and empty roll instead of replacing the toilet paper in the bathroom and leave the top off the toothpaste tube after squeezing it from the middle with the force. He was not a very nice guy at all.
Sidious was a monster even in the Order of the Sith as other Dark Lord have other more positive traits some the Sith could be admire outside to the public, but Sidious had no positive traits for him had no ounce of empathy for anyone.

I have a theory that palpatine might not have been a member of the Sith. The idea of classifying someone as “Sith” means that they follow a specific set of guidelines like how not all light side force users are considered Jedi. This is why the ancient sith seem so different to Palpatine. The “sith” classification would mean very little when it comes to how powerful he is. His power is due to the fact that not only is he extremely talented in the force but he takes joy in the actions that strengthen one’s connection to the dark side. He isn’t acting in certain ways to gain power like a sith would following sith teachings, he is just acting as he sees fit. It’s like Dooku said “you wear the trapping of the sith, you fight like the sith. But this can be imitated, however.” Only in this it’s not that he has fear like Ventress, but he lacked the true traditions that make a sith. This could also by a reason why the Jedi council overlooked just how evil he was because they were looking for a blanite sith which he wasn’t. Sith wasn’t a way of life for sidious it was just a title.
You make a solid point, but I feel Palpatine wouldn't take on a title if it meant such little to him - he uses the title with pride, e.g "ONCE MORE, THE SITH WILL RULE THE GALAXY!" and "NOTHING WILL STOP THE RETURN OF THE SITH!!"
I feel the massacre of the twi'lek rustics on Ryloth deserved special mention as well. Dude orders Vader to kill a village of people who took them in and sheltered them from the planets harsh conditions just to teach Vader a "lesson". Basically Vader showed a scrap of humanity and Palpatine punished him for it. Pure evil...
If this is becoming a series, then Comp Palpatine defo deserves to be on this list. -He drained a populated world of life (Byss) -Orchestrated multiple massacres which killed probably trillions I’d say -Murdered his family brutally -Orchestrated the fall of the Republic over many years and created an Empire that transformed the galaxy into a place full of injustice and discrimination -Created ISB, which is brutal in legends. The guy is just brutal.
Thank you for sharing this video. Darth sidious is my all time favorite character in Star Wars. To leave both sides of the war corrupt the Jedi from being able to properly use the Force was amazing. Everything that Darth Sidious did from the beginning of him becoming a Sith and even killing his own Master was one of the crazy the way he did it. I could go on but I want.
@@tureytayno3154I don’t even pay attention to the sequels. They ain’t canon for me!!! Palpatine’s return was way better handled in the Dark Empire comic series in the Expanded Universe.
Thank you for finally showing the glory of our beloved Emperor . It is extremely refreshing to see someone like you to finally acknowledging the superiority of Lord Sidious .
Palpatine co-finding the Inquisitors should of made this list, how messed up is it to have the people you tried to kill en masse, tortured into obedience and forced to hunt their former allies under the threat of death.
Emperor Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious was more evil than the Dark side itself 😰😱. (I say this because because in the Mortis arc of The Clone Wars, the Son who was literally the Dark side of the Force personified, while his actions were not excusable, he showed moments of sadness and pain. His sister, the Daughter who represented/was the personification of the Light side of the Force, when she stepped in to save the Father who represented the Balance of the Force, and he ended up murdering her instead, he was horrified at what he had just done and cried out "why" in agonized rage 🥺. When he came to her tomb to take the Dagger 🗡 , he touched her face and said "It's ironic sister, you were the only one I _truly loved"_ tearfully 🥺. And when the Father chose to take his own life to take the Son's power and finally restore balance, the Son pleaded for his father to not die 😢🥺😣😔. It's making me teary-eyed just thinking about it 🥺😣😔.)
This is why Palpatine is my absolute favorite villain (and character in general) across every one of my series I love. Oh and I also go to shake hands with Ian at a comic con, which of course I was deeply excited for.
In legends during his final death a jedi saw into his soul and said he wasnt like what he seemed and that he was full of fear and sadness. He was still evil but legends gives a bit more context to it
given the chance, he was in the DBZ, he would be worse than Frieza while being in character. Palpatine is the type of Sith would strive all of the abilities of all of the characters because Palpatine's ego is that big

You left out a few things. One of my favorites was orchestrating a way to shut down the oxygen production on all of couriscant: thus being able to hold the entire world hostage should the rebels try to invade.
Star Wars was initially about the Vietnam War with the US being the Empire and the Viet Minh being the Rebels, so Palpatine was more like a combination of Nixon and Kissinger
Canon and Legend wise, the Force in itself hated super weapons. Everytime such item came into play, it was not long before it was destroyed. Had Luke not refuse to use the targeting system for his run to shoot the tiny hole, the Death Star would have succeeded to destroy Yavin 4. Did the same with the DS2, eventually the shield drop because Luke was brought to the Emperor which distract him, preventing Palpatine to fully use his Battle Meditation to manage his force, giving the upper hand on both space and land. There is also the Star Forge in KotOR, how quickly it didn't last. All this because the Force can't take too much scaring like Alderaan destrucition left a mark and all the pain brought by the Kyber Crystal use for the super weapon of both DS, they are connected to the Force. Enough said about this. I trully also believe Palpatine to be one of the most incredibly well written vilain. At the same level as the Joker, Luthor, Thanos (before infinity wars) and Gul Dukat.
Shame you don't mention other weapons Sidious approved such as the Sun Crusher and Galaxy Gun. Also, in Legends Sidious relocated Alderan survivors to Byss where he drained their life force for Sith experiments along with turning wounded pilots into his Shadow Droids.
I always wondered what an encounter between sidious and Darkseid would be like? What if... Sidious had the Omega beams? Or what if sidious had five of the six infinity stones? Obvious stone he wouldn't be able to collect is the soul stone. But sidious is that one villain that truly has unlimited power. Because he's always learning. If sidious was in the MCU or DC universe he would become more powerful than even his legends counterpart. He would learn the magic of scarlet witch or Raven or even Dr Fate/Dr strange. He would essentially be like Dr Doom.

You should’ve talked about Maul. He essentially kidnapped this young child, only to torture him, abuse him, turn him into a murderous animal and quickly abandoned him when he failed. Maul went insane, killed countless people, and died a sad and unsatisfactory death; Palpatine created a monster, just like with Vader and Dooku, but Maul had it the worst as a child compared to them. Maul is evil, and he definitely deserves his downfall for what he did, but Sidious created that monster and Maul was forever tormented by what was done to him. That is truly sickening and evil.

He was so arragant and fixed on destroying Luke slowly because he refused to take out Vader and turning that it gave Anakin the one and only opportunity to make a move while he was distracted which was perfect timing.Remember when Palatine told Vader that Luke's compassion for Anakin will be his undoing"?Well Palpatine's compassion for Luke to suffer was his undoing.lol.Lucas did an amazing job with the Palpatine character!
@@chrismagnum06 His anger and hatred of someone with such power, wasting it, is what Palpatine wanted to torture him for. He also believed that Anakin was long gone by then. The recent comics, have told some really good stories, about Sidious testing, then tearing down, and building Vader back up. The entire writing that Palpatine made the armor to have a weakness to electricity is lazy. Vader not fixing that, is just stupid. The best way I’ve heard it explained, is that once Anakin was back, all the things fueling the dark side in him were gone, and even with his helmet, or a new suit, he wouldn’t survive, as any semblance of Anakin, was neatly completely gone. So, along with damage from Luke, then Palpatine, just him turning finished himself off. There was also no special teaching, to be a force ghost, back then, so Anakin just shows up, as if any Jedi could, if Luke needed to speak with them. It’s been the writing of others, that has filled in these gaps, but Lucas has never read, or used them to write his stories.
@CorbCorbin I agree that simply making Vaders suit vulnerable to lighting and Vader not fixing it for 20+ years is lazy writing. I mean, using the physical pain to enhance his rage is one thing...but not protecting the suit against or discovering specific weaknesses in 20+ years while living in it is totally another. Anakin/Vader was a "tinkerer." If he had the time to modify his lightsaber and his tie fighter, I would think he could've modified his suit.
@@CorbCorbin Lets think of another piece of lazy writing: Yoda NEVER telling Luke about Palpatine's favorite Force Technique......Force Lightning......oh also never throw your lightsaber away in front of your enemy.

Do NOT blame Emperor Palpatine for order 66 !!!!!! Order 66 would never have been issued if the treasonous jedi high council didn't attempt to assassinate the Supreme Chancellor . Because of the assassination attempt Lord Sidious decided that the jedi were too dangerous to be left alive , thank the force that heroes like Anakin and the Inquisitors remained loyal .
“Sidious issued CAD BANE TO ABDUCT FORCE SENSITIVE CHILDREN…”???? Freudian slip of sorts. Cad Bane as the the apprentice of Sidious is a pretty wild thought. (ah…bounty hunter)
Palpatine’s creation of the planet killers (from Death Star to Final Order Fleet) really speaks to his evil nature. There is very little strategic value to obliterating an entire planet. Even just killing off the indigenous life (though equally evil) would be less of a waste of resources than erasing the planet from existence. And that also doesn’t account for potential changes to the entire system because of the destruction of said planet. Even when only firing one reactor, the Death Star was an obscenely high collateral weapon. In fact, it may as well be guaranteed collateral. So yeah, anyone who has it in their mind to make one of these has something very wrong with them.
you nailed it. after having gone through and learning all about narcs , and knowing the emporor, he is literally the pieak epitome of narcissims and phcyotpath. and that indeed IS pretty much teh devil
How can turning Vader be his most evil act? He experimented on infants and released a thousands years old virus accidentally killing an entire ship load of his dudes when all he meant to do was wipe out multiple civilizations? Turning Vader was trivial compared to so many other things that he did.
It’s more what Vader became that made it so evil. Yes, Palpatine was ready to kill infants, but Vader killed a lot of people, including children. We can probably assume there were infants at the temple when Vader attacked. We even saw one in the flashback on the Mandalorian, showing how Grogu escaped with help. I imagine many other infants were not so lucky. Vader became the Emperor’s favorite weapon and tool to enforce his authority over the Galaxy. Imagine the sense of accomplishment Palpatine felt when he took the Jedi’s greatest hope and turned him against them.
I previously posted on this, however since then have come to think about Emperor Vitiate for the Old Sith Empire. He ruled for a very long time. I also came across a previously unknown Sith Power. It appears that Vitiate had a power that allowed him to actually allowed him to prevent any force users from actually using the force. He just cast a lightning attack and this actually pulled any ability for a Jedi or Sith attacking him from using any force abilities at all. They were forever denied the use of the force. This could have been a fan fiction story, so I don't know if it is Cannon or Legends. Does anyone have any thoughts? I of course am Team Palpatine.
Palpatine was a sweet old man. I'm not big on the prequel movies, and I've never seen the Star Wars movies that came out after 2005. Palpatine is sadistic in Return of the Jedi.
I was wondering if being the galactic leader would be such a bad thing... But I suppose I figured things like consent and benevolence. This guy was absolutely evil
From what has been said here why not put Palatine into death battle against DC'S Darkseid the dark side of the force, taking on the many forms of Darkseid, force lightning vs Omega Beams anti life equation, with the Justice League and the rebellion watching the battle from far away via satellite.
The thing about palpatine is that his own hubris is what got him in the end. Its just odd that he was able to read the entire galaxy so clearly to orchestrate his rising to power but then to drop the ball so hard after he had already done the hard part. He had overthrown the republic, eradicated the Jedi and cleaned up anyone who could of been a real possible threat to him. He had won, he had the entire galaxy and honestly for a good majority of the population across the galaxy life was indeed better. Without constant resource draining efforts of war many many worlds recovered and were thriving under the empire. Which is why the rebellion had such a hard time actually finding enough worlds to join and/or finance them. Palpatine could of absolutely crushed the rebellion before it even began if he had just let off the gas for a couple of decades and brought all the core worlds back up to their republic standings if not better. If he had cooled his evil jets and just let the galaxy breath for awhile and focused on rebuilding the rebels wouldn't of been able to find anyone at all to help them and it never would of manifested into anything other than just some minor threat. But instead he triple downed on evil and because of that he lost it all. Which is what's weird, he was able to weave an incredible intricate and delicate web of deception and lies to play the entire galaxy at the entire time but then just goes off without really thinking about what to do next? That's what's goofy to me, its out of his character to be so brazen. He had to of realized if he relaxed and let the galaxy recover he could of spent nearly his every wakening moment in study of the dark side and grown more and more powerful and then when he had grown so absolutely powerful in the force, then you come back and do the evil god emperor thing but only after enough time has passed that the remaining threats either died of old age or just lacked any support and gave it up.
Palpatine summed up in two words; Evil Incarnate. That is just fact. The way I think of doing something or _being_ something always has the same objective. For instance, when I decide upon a course of action to learn something new or commit to a task such as rebuilding a 392 Hemi, the rules of me (chaos) state that I _MUST_ do these things to my absolute best no matter what whether it be for good or bad.(I tend to to prefer good) But even if I chose to be evil, I would strive to be the *most" absolute very _best_ at it, always. Palapatine was the *BEST*... _always_ . \m/ Addendum: Although, it doesn't mesh with with Lucas's perfectly simple story, I wish Vader could have achieved "Evil Incarnate". I think he tried and tried hard, but it was beyond his AND Palpatines' control. Reason being, Vader wasn't born evil. As a matter of fact, he was born almost completely opposite. Kind, loving, risks helping complete strangers because he believed it right to help those in need, puts his wants and feelings second (especially where his Mom was concerned) and as a young boy (slave no less) could and was trusted by all. Even the Dark side did not have the power to _crush_ that last spark of eternal light that forever burned inside not Vader, but the one enemy Vader could NOT eliminate...Anakin Skywalker. The Chosen One.
Thought It was legends that vader suit was made with flaws and new cannon he was happy with it or maybe I am wrong? Most people argue "well why make him like grievous" grievous cybernetics were designed to replace as he had no connection to the force it didn't matter but vaders was designed to preserve his frail body to keep his Midi-chlorian count high.
I am afraid that you will find my sarcastic lines quite entertaining, and your chuckling about them will make your eventual demise from the full power of dark side somewhat easier.
The creation of the Death star as the "most evil," thing Palpatine did? Meh…I think there's a lot of arguments to be made that other things on the list were FAR worse, and are also more appropriate for the title "evil." Firstly I don't think you can really label an action as evil in of itself, it's the motivation behind it. It's not the "what," it's the "why." Most people will agree that there's a vast difference between someone killing another person in self defense or a soldier killing an enemy soldier on a battlefield and someone who gets his rocks off by slipping into open windows at night and strangled someone in their bed. And when you think about it, the Death Star isn't all that different from the nuclear stockpile countries like the US; Russia and China have. Last I heard we had enough nuclear weapons to destroy the entire planet 3 times over (albeit this was in the 80s and they supposedly were reducing the amount we have). The only real difference between the Death Star and Thermonuclear bombs is one of degree, no pun intended. The Empire can wipe out a planet in less than a half hour (a guess), while it would take hours or maybe a few days for a couple countries to do it to us. There's also the fact that the Death Star will cause the entire planet to explode in a complete, albeit visually unconvincing way (honestly, it looked like an M80 blowing up a mailbox). Nuclear would still at least leave a dead sphere of glass and ash behind. I think that the experimentation on the infants to be a pretty clear leader for "evil." Even if they had been successful, so what? Then they'll have a bunch of really good spies, assassins and saboteurs to add to the already absurdly overpowered military? Huzzah!🙄. It comes across to me as something that was done more out of a callous curiosity than for any real sizable benefit.
In Siddious's own mind, his actions are not evil but are necessary and are even justified in the name of bringing order to the Galaxy. This makes him one of the most despicable characters in Star Wars and perhaps in movie history.
The problem is that for the stories and movies Darth Vader was supposed to be the penultimate bad guy. Having Palpatine be so evil takes away from that.
It should of been like mortal kombat especially Shang tsung, the final fight, especially when they try to hit him and its does nothing, and then Palpatine could of said to kylo after rey gets knocked out or something, Palpatine would pull him up by his hair and then make fun of him like the chosen one?! And then kylo gets up and totally says I am the chosen one!?
Yeah sometimes I've seen the "what ifs" where he was the. Good guy polar opposite of this BUT always wondered what would take to make such a thing happen. Luke was overwhelmed by the power that he radiated, the evil. But he had complete and utter control of it.
George wrote Poppa Palpatine way worse than the devil. The devil started out as an angel, then fell from grace to become evil. Palpatine was for the pit from the start.
At first Palpatine is just an ambitious kid about to begin studying political science.
@@u.v.s.5583An evil ambitious kid yea
Lucifer & Satan are different
He is evil for the sake of being evil. He is my favorite villain of all time.
He is only evil for the sake of acquiring UNLIMITED POWER... so he can have... peace.
this is why i consider Palpatine to be Darkest of all of Sith Lords for all of his sins.
oh yeah easily. there may have been ancient sith that could compete with palps in terms of force sensitivity/midichlorian count or overall force power (nihilus with his op asf force drain and his red force lightning, or vitiate with his ability to destroy minds) and connection to the dark side, but not a single one of them comes remotely close to matching the pure evil that darth sidious was. someone else said this already, but sidious is definitely worse than the devil. the devil used to be an angel, the highest ranking and most beautiful of God’s angels, but his jealousy, envy and greed got the better of him which ultimately led to his casting out. lucifer didn’t rebel out of pure malice, even if he was irredeemable, but he rebelled because he did not want to be a second in command, more bluntly he didn’t like being told what to do and thus he felt enslaved even in heaven. by the way, this is not justifiable in any way, he committed a grave atrocity against the one and only God that could have taught him discipline, but ultimately what happened with lucifer is eerily similar to what im sure all of us humans can relate to; letting our emotions get the better of us. even if we wanted to do good, when we feel trapped or unsatisfied, our emotions ramp up, and if they aren’t dealt with in a healthy manner, it boils over into something we may or may not have ever meant to happen.
Palpatine: I'm way worse than you realize. Watch the video to find how much worse.
While I cackle at your disgust
Well, you certainly write stupid comments. More annoying than evil though. Like you’re 11 years old instead of a Sith Lord.

@@hamstermc7807 That is the ultimate question isn’t it?! She watched Episode 7-9 with me in theaters on release day. That was her first exposure to Star Wars that’s why she didn’t like them. I wanted to rewatch the series so we watched it in release order 4-6, then 1-3. I think it’s the best order to appreciate the franchise and now my gf is a fan 😆
Since then, on his own, he’s watched all of The Clone Wars, Bad Batch, and played Fallen Order, and who knows how much else. I think he likes Star Wars now 😇 and ttrpgs (as it also happens to be his first campaign)

If not for Galen Erso's betrayal, the Emperor would have won.
That was in the Canon continuity...
Palpatine's downfall is different in Legends continuity...
@jaquariusrodgers7299 Galen Erso is the father of the main protagonist in the _Rogue One_ movie. He was the engineer who intentionally designed the Death Star where someone could blow it up by shooting an explosive into the thermal exhaust port.
Sidious, Darkseid, Morgoth:- the trinity of absolute evil
Palpatin is one of the greatest villain in cinema history.
In the end, he still effed up a thousand years of work.

Another RUclipsr named The Vile Eye did a fantastic breakdown of Palpatine.
Yeah I saw it. It's pretty good
If this is becoming a series, then Comp Palpatine defo deserves to be on this list.
-He drained a populated world of life (Byss)
-Orchestrated multiple massacres which killed probably trillions I’d say
-Murdered his family brutally
-Orchestrated the fall of the Republic over many years and created an Empire that transformed the galaxy into a place full of injustice and discrimination
-Created ISB, which is brutal in legends.
Master manipulator. Brilliant levels of cunning and patience. Next levels of evil. One of the best written villains in media
Darth Sidious/ Emperor Palpatine is absolutely the perfect villain for a franchise.
Yes, but he should have died when Vader threw him down the shaft instead of coming back in Tha Rise of Skywalker.
@@tureytayno3154I don’t even pay attention to the sequels. They ain’t canon for me!!! Palpatine’s return was way better handled in the Dark Empire comic series in the Expanded Universe.

Palpatine is easily and simply EVIL
He's also a plain creepy ass old man. "DEEEEEEEW EEEET!"
Palpatine co-finding the Inquisitors should of made this list, how messed up is it to have the people you tried to kill en masse, tortured into obedience and forced to hunt their former allies under the threat of death.
And at the same time making Darth Bane roll around in his grave.
Would be cool if they made an R rated Sidious origin movie.
He was still evil but legends gives a bit more context to it
Where can we look that up?
Also, in the Plagueis novel he still has some humanity/empathy when Plagueis orders him to kill his friend (I forget his name).
When i saw this video i thought you meant worse as in weaker and i was like "nahh, that cant be right"

You left out a few things. One of my favorites was orchestrating a way to shut down the oxygen production on all of couriscant: thus being able to hold the entire world hostage should the rebels try to invade.
Also this is my headcanon but I think he probably offered refugees from Alderaan a new home on Byss, only to use them in his dark side experiments.
Star Wars was initially about the Vietnam War with the US being the Empire and the Viet Minh being the Rebels, so Palpatine was more like a combination of Nixon and Kissinger
I have a portrait of Palpatine in my office with a brass plate that says, ' "Do it." All of my best, Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine '
What about the droid attack on the wookies?

2:32 Perfect description of how Vader got a Soviet- style suit.
He's looking like a saint compared to some of the people leading this country right now
You should’ve talked about Maul.

What I find most amazing about Palpatine is that it never occurred to him that attempting to kill Luke would result in getting himself killed.
or like in TROS, he should have been more careful using the lightning since it backfired on him so many times.
@@chrismagnum06
His anger and hatred of someone with such power, wasting it, is what Palpatine wanted to torture him for.
It was definitely the worst when Disney resurrected him, instead of coming up with an original villain. 2:47
Disney making a palpatine origins story with plagueis, Tom Hiddleston cast as palpatine, is the best thing they could do to remedy things. That show and/or movie would be unreal if done correctly

He created COVID 19
He injected Vader with AIDs
Watching the clone wars finale, how every character and all thier fights were for nothing, made me realize how evil Palpy is.
I still love him though.
Did you hear abou Sauron? I'm not even gonna talk about Melkor..

Don't feel like Anakin was happy to kill the people on Mustafar considering he's crying by the end of the scene
Palpatine is a man after my own heart
So is it just me or could there be a Star Wars survival horror game surrounding the black wings virus
_always_ .
\m/
Addendum: Although, it doesn't mesh with with Lucas's perfectly simple story, I wish Vader could have achieved "Evil Incarnate".
If you looked up the definition of the word evil, his damn face would be there. That's how evil Palpatine is.
And yet Disney decided to reward him by bringing him back.
As a dead space enjoyer, I agree. Palpatine doing a dead space was truly vile

Emperor Palpatine I believe didn't see himself as evil but opposed to light side. His ambitions blinded him in the dark side.

He had a pretty good sense of humour and a flair for the dramatic. Those are redeeming qualities in my book😂😂😂
I am afraid that you will find my sarcastic lines quite entertaining, and your chuckling about them will make your eventual demise from the full power of dark side somewhat easier.

Oohhhh was this video made with administration to Emperor Palpatine I’m blushing 🧎♂️I believe Ian McDiarmid would love this video as well 😊
The creation of the Death star as the "most evil," thing Palpatine did? Meh…I think there's a lot of arguments to be made that other things on the list were FAR worse, and are also more appropriate for the title "evil."
Firstly I don't think you can really label an action as evil in of itself, it's the motivation behind it.
Probably my favorite episode hands down
In Siddious's own mind, his actions are not evil but are necessary and are even justified in the name of bringing order to the Galaxy. This makes him one of the most despicable characters in Star Wars and perhaps in movie history.
