Took GT 4 years to finish their Defensor, now I think FT is looking forward to breaking GT's record with their Menasor and Superion...
That was a 4 year wait?? I mean, the pandemic did a lot, but damn
@@MrWesternAUS Pandemic aside, I think it relies more on their attitude and confidence toward their combiner. OX/MMC promised to finish their Bruticus in a year, and only took one extra month even under the influence of pandemic to get the job done. This is why I appreciate OX/MMC more, and I would always pre-order their combiners. I am just so done with FT's combiners, would not pre-order any in future.

@@cameronbenson7372 MasterMind Creation is the parent company that works on all kinds of TF figures, Ocular Max(fans don’t like to call it OM for some reasons lol) is a branch out sub-company from MMC that dedicates to G1 TF figures.
Fans toys menasor is never going to combine. They may end up. Reading the mold and release a stand alone menasor that doesn't transform.
He reminds me alot of the Dreamwave war within defensor from back in the early 2000s. A very good look.

I did not notice how dull Earthrise Prime's red was until you compared it to the MP.
That’s what happens when your don’t have paint applied all over the plastic. Still the best mainline Optimus ever (even if he could have a red that pops more).

Zeta really did a great job with their superion...probably one of the best looking combiners..in my opinion
I appreciate this review. It has definitely made up my mind that I want MMC over this build. It's not bad, just not for me.
I like the look of this guy, but with mmc already being able to tackle an all built in, solid combiner, I’m going to hold out for that.

@@noahmartin7644 well, MMC defensor is about the size of mmc bruticus. The arms are so far interchangeable. MMC bruticus is bigger than this as shown in this video. So MMC is bigger.

Thanx for the video. I was thinking getting this as my first ever 3rd party not Defensor, and this video sold it for me.
And it was great to see all these other huge combiners side by side!
I’m going to end up buying a combiner that gets outdone I just know it! the only one I’ve gotten so far is maketoys giant but despite better iterations some of which I do intend to get, I feel it’s the perfect mix of g1 accuracy and more real world or updated aesthetic. Only thing I can really say it’s scale is out of whack in general but not with my collection. I actually have very little designs of that era due to my younger age.
Yeah, Giant wasn't a MP-scaled figure, but still is a great version! I have the first version of the yellow one. Later versions were able to create a club out of Hook's vehicular crane arm. The Wei Jiang over-size knock-off of Gravity Builder is my MP Devastator/Constructicons currently.
Looks good, but I think I'll wait for the completed set from OC MAX before I make my decision.

I saw the Maketoys "Defensor" and the Generation Toy version looks much better and is better proportioned, at least to me.
8:11 - Those panels are supposed to form a sort of triangle/pyramid on the shoulders. You can see it on the official images.

Looks pretty good for a IDW Defensor If the figures are still obtainable I may dive in. Been waiting for a good looking yet solid . He’s got some flaws, but fits what I am looking for. Won’t be for everyone, but that’s why we there are options.

I think he looks cool but I hate it wen the third party companies be falling short wen it comes to combiners I mean I give them an A for effort but wen hinges and tabs be acting up or stressed or even faulty engineering and moldings that's wen I fall back and save my money!!! I guess with OM, they will use their Onslaught to create their Hotspot. The G1 toys had similar transformations.
Turned out pretty good I’m glad i got rid of it though I’m looking for zeta size bots. But his combined mode does look good

For me and I love my yes model guardia. Looks so much like I'd expect five vehicles to join together even for G1. I never liked the cartoon version it was so bland. At least superion looked fantastic in the cartoon and as a (recent released) toy. For me it looks great I just wish they could get some good ratchets in the arms so you could pose them properly.

I dread to imagine how much this costs.
Just got yes model Guardia and this one is so much better. Tho I did only pay 124 euros for that thing and this one costs atleast 500 euros
the combiner kibble for the legs is giving me slight OCD, not as much as Menasor Disorder(i.e. when the limb component bots barely form part of the limbs to the point that its basically like how Menasor in the cartoon appears to be just Motormaster with cars glued onto his shins and elbows)
Looks good but those proportions look way off to me. Think I'll stick with MMC.
Defensor's left arm is suppose to be weak bc First Aid is a weak character and quit the team to build broken refrigerator's in a Junkyard. 😂

I love how there is no fo chest or waist, but the leg shells are awful.
