This song came to mind after a recent victorious moment. Hard to come by uplifting songs - especially back in this genre back in the day. Still a great tune for sure!
Just revisited 'United by Fate' today, what a brilliant album. Was amazed to learn that the singer was also the singer in Quicksand. I remember Quicksand bizarrely playing a gig at my local pub in the 90's, The Albert Inn, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, UK. They were great if I remember correctly
I prefer Quicksand, but this also really fucken great! It's odd that every band Walter was a part of showed amazing potential before splitting up... Talk about a streak of bad luck!
It's so original and timeless...I also listen to it all the time...best part is I'll put on this album when I have a few friends over, just to find myself explaining that it's not a "new band", much to their amazement lol...when I tell 'em it was released in 2001 they're blown away

♫ La chanson du jour de ce dimanche par Rival Schools. Joyeux anniversaire à Daniele Mangani, Sylvie Gaviot, Daniel Bewernick-Green, Creamix Bijoux et à ceux qui sont nés un 1er octobre ♫
I posted this song today after hearing for the first time and realized the thumbnail of hand on guitar looks the same as the drone photos of the Ohio train derailment that has become a major issue right now. I decided to post the spotify version as to not cause mild confusion.
I spent most of my adult life not knowing who this band was until just recently. I'm glad to have stumbled onto their music.
Walter always surfed a musical wave slightly ahead of his time and never got his due.
Fuckin TRUTH dude. A true pioneer.
Today I am having a great day. This song reminded me of that. I hope you're all having a great day too. Take care.
One of the most underrated songs EVER written. I will never get tired of this song.
This band is pretty good
And this song is great
_The_ most underrated band. You know what? If you give a shit about views, you've already lost. Care about doing good work. These guys did it.
The entire album is a banger. Every single song is great.
"Good things are coming our way..."
I have to believe they are. Fucking outstanding and underrated song.
I know they always have.
An incredible band.
2001-2002 was a fuckin 2nd coming. White Blood Cells , Highly Evolved , The Hives , Is this It , BRMC ,Fever to Tell and this fuckin beaut
drums are so good!! love the groove. united by fate is a pure classic, still relevant 20 years later.

This song plays pretty much daily in my house
Good noise. Really good noise. Had no idea this band existed; I'm over twenty years late to the party.
Check out Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, World's Fastest Car, Walking Concert... I'm sure I left out a couple. Walter has soooooooo much music!
I prefer Quicksand, but this also really fucken great! It's odd that every band Walter was a part of showed amazing potential before splitting up... Talk about a streak of bad luck!
I think he just always liked to move on... and several of his bands reunited later on to give their fans more.
Quicksand shouldn't be compared to these cats....totally different band as was Gorrila Biscuits before that.ALL great bands.
did these guys get their name from the playstation 1 game?
Yes, straight up.
It's so original and timeless...I also listen to it all the time...best part is I'll put on this album when I have a few friends over, just to find myself explaining that it's not a "new band", much to their amazement lol...when I tell 'em it was released in 2001 they're blown away
One of the best albums I've had the pleasure of listening too
The drummer is getting all that sound out of the world's smallest set. Mind. Blown
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2022.
Walter and his bands can do no wrong
It's like Quicksand's lighter moments meets Jonathan Richman? i dunno.
amazing.
He's got a Gibson Marauder!
Awesome!
Yeah such a sweet guitar. Kinda like Gibson's take on a Tele Custom. I'm 99% sure this vid was the first time I saw one
rival skools is back in town! look out for their new single wring it out!!!
Hope they do an european tour! They are one hell of an awesome band, but so criminally underrated : \
Accidentally discovered this song aaaaaages ago through Kaaza while trying to find the OST of the game, Rival Schools. :| Good game! Good band, even!
Good game. Better band. Walter's projects are always good
That's exactly how I found it :)
Tell me you’re 40 without telling me you’re 40
@@tonyhoaglund7542 Young people still listen to music like this?
Maybe there is hope for the future afterall. :D
I feel 17 again

Just discovered these guys. I love seeing a bassist that doesn't use a pick :)
Cache Tolman is an incredible bass player. Check out Iceburn….
@@kp4588Some of the best bassist advice you could ever give anyone. Firon, the first album is untouchable in my opinion. ❤
You mean Dexter looks like Walter Schriefels? Hmmm... not sure I see the resemblance though.
he looks like Matthew McConaughey
LMAO
Or a young Chevy Chase.
@BrutusMcCrunch not totally different at all. they even have the same singer bro, how is that totally different? i beg to differ
@Glenn2810 They're actualy back. And they released a new album called "Pedals".
I posted this song today after hearing for the first time and realized the thumbnail of hand on guitar looks the same as the drone photos of the Ohio train derailment that has become a major issue right now. I decided to post the spotify version as to not cause mild confusion.
