I appreciate you doing a traditional bass style for this demo. Now i know i dont have to switch to my normal bass guitar when it's time to lay down the groove
Bass VI vs. 6-String Bass - really just different verbiage. Means the same thing. One could argue combining the Roman numerals of VI with the numbers of TB64 is an issue, if they're fond of being contrary. But, considering we named the guitar I think we can probably call it whatever we like ;)
@@eastwoodguitarsofficial well, you can of course name it whatever you please. However, as far as I follow, the general consensus on the market seems to be "6-string bass" = BEADGC and "Bass VI" = EADGBE. Which is pretty good to know when wanting to buy and play those instruments, as the Bass VI also uses thinner strings with apparently tighter string spacing, while a 6-string bass usually has thicker strings with much wider string spacing. I mean, both is almost the same, but not quite. If you know better, all the power to you. But I'm just an amateur looking for something fun bridging the world of guitar and bass, by chance, so these details are important to know for me.
@UCBpLn6E9LWsJpmYAUBQH8vQ This will shed light on Naya Rivera cause she died. This is tuned an Octave below a Standard Guitar but why not a Bass VII? It's a 7 String Version of the Bass VI which adds on a Low B tuned an Octave below a Standard 7 String.
not that you played badly but why have a 6 string if you never use the top 2 strings ? and the same thing for the whammy bar ?? otherwise its still just a 4 string bass .. nothin new to see here .. ?????
Nice playing RJ !
RJ is the man..His demos are always class.
Damn ! This bass vi sounds really good !
I didn't even notice intonation issues like some Squier, Ibanez, Fender and others have.
Good job.
With that bass you should have played some Blonde Redhead.
My thoughts exactly!

This bass sounds amazing. Ordering one.
Righteous groove you got there. 😎
wow, this actually sounds killer
Awesome!
Play a 6 string with two high strings...only use the 4 lowest strings
Can you buy 6 strings like that in one pack?
the high strings are just for spice, if you dont keep the groove going youre gonna get fired from the band
@@projectz975 you are very correct, but he is playing alone and it's a demo of what the instrument can do
Qué belleza 😍
Should have played some Cure type songs that use bass vi as a melody instrument, like Pictures of You, Lullaby, High, etc. Sounds good, though!
So just your normal bass amp will do?
This looks kinda like a copy of my copy? Mine's 1960 St. George T-64 BASS VI slamming METAL
Did you use the tremolo at all or did I miss that?
Check out a recent video by Davie504 for an example of whammy on a BassVI.
Evan C. Link please ???? I cannot locate that video.
@@radarkw in case you never found it ruclips.net/video/T3WV-y6PTEA/видео.html
so what gauges are those? what does the solo switch actually do?
How well does it stay in tune? Have you compared It to squire bass vi?
A lovely demo. Also, what is the standard tuning for this particular model?
Beau Myron should be E-E, like a regular six string, but down an octave.
Evan C. Thanks!
On this demo it sounds like RJ has it stepped down to Eb-Eb
@@tommcnally6818 I agree
A Bass VI, Eastwood.

Any chance of a lefty version of the TB64?
Just about to release that.

Dude, I've been tryna figure out how to get that low B on a bass like this for a WHILE. Come back here with any info of you find something out please!
@@lordundhimself1310 A Bass VII might help cause it's tuned one Octave below a 7 String Guitar.
@@RockStarOscarStern634 Is that even a thing. I don't see anything when I google it
@@lordundhimself1310 That's going to be next. A Bass VII is a 7 String Version of the Bass VI which adds on a Low B.
@@RockStarOscarStern634 What do you mean "that's going to be next"? Is some company developing it?
That's not a 6 string bass, it's a Bass VI
Huge difference
Yes it is. No it's not a Bass VI. Bass VI was made by Fender. And it's also a 6 string bass.
@@NicholasMarkovich It's a BassVI.
is this bass made in korea? or china
Indonesia
Most colors are in stock now!

That's the sweet spot for a BassVi. Higher strings and you start getting into guitar territory.
