Been watching you for years. Loved this video. Love the simplicity of the editing, still lots of great shots. I used to ride all the time with a friend that had a tw and I always think of him and our rides when I see your videos. I think of you as a Moto friend and like I’m riding along as I watch.
For sure! Thanks lightness and compactness is huge, going with a different power station next time, found 1 that is 1/3 the size and much lighter, just minus the AC inverter which I don’t really need
Yeah, another TDK Moro-camping video! Cool kit, spooky structures, starry night skies, and the tamest young buck in Colorado. That Jackery is pretty sweet. Thanks for the content Wes. Can’t wait to see the fun you will have when the 4wheelkid adventure van is complete. God bless and stay safe out there!
Glad you enjoyed it, was a fun interesting trip! yeah it was pretty cool to have on the trip. decided to go with a smaller power bank from renogy. it has almost the same power capacity as that jackery but 1/3 the size, just doesn't have an inverter but I don't need one while moto camping. for sure! will start using the van soon, not anywhere close to done but I want to start driving it around and using it.
I am of the same mindset about gear. Nice setup. That smaller Jackery is a nice motocamping add, it seems like it could go for days with the solar charing. Thank you for taking us along.
For sure! thank you. yeah it was pretty cool however I think I'm going with a much smaller power station that has almost the same capacity just minus the ac inverter, should be rad, I do love having a 40 watt solar panel though. can't wait to try it out and maybe go on a 3 day trip soon. no problem, thanks for watching
he there! it was time for a new one. thanks, more videos to come on that channel, just trying to get as much done as possible on it before it get's too cold and snows
Heck yes. More Tdubbin. Side note. I was riding my stomping grounds. And some hikers literally threw their wrappers on the trail in front of me. Trail was like 30 inches wide and I parked my xt600 right in the middle and walked past them to pick up their trash and put it back in the lady's bag. I'm so disappointed in how much trash has been all over the trails this year
Thanks! Always trying to improve it. Thing im going with a different station though almost same capacity just minus the ac inverter cause its 1/3 the size. Kinda cool you could filter and boil water off grid with solar panel and power station indefinitely, only thing you would run out of is gasoline and food 🤔
that works, you could use it as a generator, one thing that might be work doing is having your bike charge a power bank while riding from the electrical system. then you don't have to keep the bike running, I might do something like that
Great set up you have bro. Ty for sharing! The last time i tried to go moto camping at gordon gulch in boulder. The first half of the trail were rocky and somewhat leveled ground, the other half was completely a steep hill climb. I was unsuccessful in my attempt to climb that hill on my xt and did not go camping that day, lol.
@@TDubsKid I have never thought about a recovery kit. That is definitely something i need to add to my pack. What brand are you using if you don't mind me asking?
My Forma adventure boots (short version), feel like crocs soles with boot uppers. They are super comfortable, and easier to put on and take off than any work boot iv ever owed, and they have better ankle support than any work boots. Not the very best riding boots that money can buy, but definitely way more protection than work boots, and super comfortable, even to walk around in.
for sure, work boots not as good as actual riding boots. I just take it easy when wearing simple attire, have my full on gear for stuff that's more serious
haha yeah, I just don't trust my ball joints on my 4runner to go that far, they are know to pop out randomly. need to overhaul the front end suspension and steering
@TDubsKid I personally travel as light as possible, charging everything as I ride or overnight.but then when doing this in my truck I have all the comforts of home tho...interesting how little I carry when alone vs have the family with
Cool to see your load-out. I am a gear-freak and own 2 or 3 of everything. I'm always interested to see what other riders / campers pack. I recently picked up a USB charging fan (for hot nights) that has a light. Also got a mini radio that can charge a phone and has a light and solar panel + hand crank. Radio for weather reports and company on solo nights.
glad you enjoyed that. haha I'm a gear Freak too. yeah it's neat to see how other people do things. great for ideas. nice that would be great when camping somewhere hot. nice I got a ham radio recently. need to get my fcc license soon but that would be great to take with me. I also got a smaller power station. has the same capacity but 1/3 the size because it doesn't have the inverter. can't wait to take that with me on the next motocamp
Good to see you are ready for what life and the unknown throw at you. Try a holster that carries across your chest like a old school pilot holster. just a thought. take care young sir.
I used to wear boots like yours until my tdub fell on my foot but it wasn't sideways like usual, my foot got wedged perpendicular between the bike and the ground, causing the boot and my big toe to hyperextend. Ended up needing arthroscopy. So then I got real enduro boots because they're designed to protect from that and consider the forces involved in moto crashes. Actually, I still wear the old boots though. The injury made me realize that I just wasn't equipped for the riding that I wanted to be doing. I got an enduro bike to go with the enduro boots and when I want to ride the tdub I still wear my old boots.
dang, that's no fun. surgery sucks, yeah they lack the metal shank compared to motorcycle off road boots. ill wear these boots for easy going stuff but I have a lot better gear for harder rides
Heh. Your. Vid ‘s are Awesome. Got a Go Pro 9. Your experiences are great to watch. But what Mike do you suggest to get rid of wind noise. …. Love to hear your thought. “Kid” I’d appreciate it. Thks
I have one of those pumps 👌🏼👌🏼 super powerful to blow up an air mattress. Links to your other items? Does that light have diff modes or warm white for the area light?
They are great! Speed things up so much and takes up like no room. Got links in the description. Unfortunately just a cool white, and strings are warm would be better if both were warm
Hi, tdubkid. Have you or anyone around you ever tried to change the stator to something for more electrical juice? My buddy and I are riding are tw200s to the Arctic Ocean in July and I want my heated clothing to work. Thx!
hey, I haven't heard of anyone doing that, I would convert all the lights to LED, measure the wattage on everything and determine if enough wattage is freed up for the heated gear
I don't know about that site. All those rocks, they'll keep you up at night, they never shut up! I'm a avid off-grid power guy, but I would boil water with the camp fire, and save the e-juice for the e-kit. That's a lot of stuff you could have left behind and be none the worse.
Hello man, long time! Firstly I want to say not trying to be a jerk just some honest criticism. So if you edited on your phone does it have a max bit rate? Also locked in 1080p. I felt the quality of video was much worse then your other projects. I usually watch on my monitor, but this was best watched on a smaller device. Thanks for the cool content, looking forward to seeing more on the van, I was actually considering ordering a Ford transit for the bikes and camping to make content in the 2024 year.
hey there, no worries, yeah I just checked and the bit rate on my phone export is much lower that what I use on my computer, unfortunately no way to change bit rate on my phone. for sure, I have a ton of content filmed with the van, it's coming along slowly. the hard part is that i'm trying to get all the basic stuff done before I start on the fun stuff. that will be rad, I did rear brakes on a ford transit 250 the other day, I had to remove the rear axles to get the rotors off haha
He's alive! Lol. Missing the videos with that epic editing! 🔥💯💪
haha yeah, thanks, more to come
The man, the myth, the legend…. The TDubsKid
thanks bro! Ill always make another TW200 video haha
I always love your camping vids! WOW!!! That deer footage was amazing! ...and the milky way night sky was beautiful!
Glad you like them!
Nice to see your motocamping videos again. Love ‘em! Amazing editing on your phone. I don’t think I could do that lol.
Pretty cool shot of the brave deer also 😮
Glad to hear! Yeah pretty cool what you can do on your phone. Just takes practice.
For sure, never seen one so friendly
Very happy to see another ride and camping vid!

Well done, TDUBS. I like the gear selection. Well thought out, the lightness is a huge factor.
For sure! Thanks lightness and compactness is huge, going with a different power station next time, found 1 that is 1/3 the size and much lighter, just minus the AC inverter which I don’t really need
I remember building shelters like that for my wilderness survival merit badge in Boy Scouts.
nice haha, Maybe boy scouts built those
Always look forward the ever more elusive Tdub camping vids. Great video by the way.
Glad you like them! more to come
Vicariously moto camping with TDubbs. Nice cup or two of coffee, always awesome anywhere. Thanks for sharing
hey glad your enjoying the motocamping. for sure! good coffee is a must, thanks for watching
Good to see a new Tdub video. I've been watching the other channel, and it's great, but I missed the moto content. Great stuff.
Welcome back! thanks, hard to keep up with both channels sometimes haha, will be putting out more vids once the weather gets cold here, thanks
Jeezus kid, I can’t pack more than that truck camping. Well done! Great video.
haha it is pretty comfy thought. still very ridable but harder to pick up if you drop the bike. thanks
Kool video TDUB. .. Be safe out in the big woods..
Thank you! Ill try haha
Cool video, Wes! I really liked seeing all your gear laid out and set up for packing. Thanks for sharing.
hey no problem! hope it was helpful

Glad to see another video! I ended up getting a 2023 xr150 but was contemplating the tw200 before it came out, i always enjoy the moto camping vids🎉
thanks! very nice, those are crazy cheap and seem interesting. glad to hear, hope your able to do some motocamping on the 150
Enjoyed this thoroughly! I could almost taste that cold-morning espresso as you were enjoying it. Thanks, TDubs!
Glad you enjoyed it! it sure is nice having some fine espresso out there,

Oh! Karen's suck and side arms are cool!
for sure, takes up like no room. super worth it, less time spending setting up and taking down camp the better.
haha for sure
