I am about 8 months sober now but a few years ago when I was starting to struggle with drinking and going on binges, ending up sick for a week or longer, I found Best Ever Food Review Show. I would lay in bed, feeling as if death was near, and watch Sonny. I watched every video he had eventually and caught up to the new episodes that were coming out. I'm talking nonstop watching his videos! None were boring even when I felt so awful and really helped keep me distracted from how bad I felt. Sonny is a great entertainer, he has seemed to stay humble even with finding more and more success. I try to watch every video they put out. The team does a great job with all aspects of the show and it is quite professional looking! Sonny and team, thank you for being there for me through the worst time in my life! My dream job would be working for Sonny and traveling!

I visit Msia/KL all the time with the kids. The expensive food in Msia is very disappointing. Expensive food is missing L.O.V.E as the most important ingredient. The most expensive bill we ever had was 1200RM (we don’t drink alcohol as a Muslim) it was only food and cola 😂 And last time we visit a very fancy restaurant omg the food had done a Whitening treatment 😂 Don’t get me wrong we are Dutch from the Netherlands, but sometimes they try being too western and it fails. For me No more very fancy restaurants in kL😂 Malaysia is a food heaven. But don’t go to the very high class places, it’s not worth the money.

$1000 meals can attract a lot of rich tourists and business people. But you can also easily spend $10 for 3 meals here. Similar countries that have very strong food culture like Thailand or Indonesia for example will have a very wide range to choose from

@@pentecost_bruh, you're not looking at the right places. there's a korean barbecue-ish restaurant in the curve damansara, and my family of 4 would always order the meat for barbecue and some other dishes like cold buckwheat noodles or whatever, and we only paid rm600-rm700 for it, and it's also an authentic korean restaurant with an actual korean chef. another place is tono izakaya at publika. it's an authentic japanese restaurant that serves mostly seafood and meat dishes, no ramen or any noodle dishes, and it's also an expensive-ish fine dining-ish restaurant. my family and i went there the other day and we only spent rm600-rm700 there as well. so yeah, you just gotta be smart on where to eat.

It's a fancy hotel, of course it will be more expensive than other places. And where I live, I can pay more than that for a standard buffet with less impressive options.

hello from Malaysia. St Regis is the only place we'll never go as we can't afford it. you should try those road-side Nasi Lemak or Ayam Goreng Kunyit which is about USD 0.60 . those are where the gems are.

13:12 my husband always said that bread is just an edible plate…there’s no reason to ever have a ratio of more than 10% bread to filling. 😂 He also loved food with “handles” like: chicken legs, tomahawk steak, ribs, shrimp, etc… He was a firm believer that food with handles were made that way so that they could be eaten easier. 😂 So…he; of course, loved anything on a stick! Put just about anything on a stick and cook it and he’d eat it. 😂
Sonny’s sense of humor reminds me of my husband’s…just one of the many reasons I love these shows. ✌🏻🥰😊

As someone growing up and swimming in the ocean and swallowing god knows how many mouthfuls of ocean water, smelling the fish and dried fish guts from the fisherman on the pier. I can't do it. Luckily, it saves me from having an expensive caviar habit though@@krismeaney2841
