I love that the producers used Hugh Laurie's talent in music for his character. Also, DAMN that scared look at the end. That's acting at its finest!
Hugh laurie has always been passionate about blues music
What a treat it must be for Hugh to play an intense, intelligent character like this after years of comedic half-wits. Marvelous series.
@@Tmanaz480 nah the comic half wit is the best kind to play as you can mess around with it and and when he played the king in blackadder he was in control of creating the comedy
I like the half wits and the genius... He does both so excellently.
Considering sherlock played the violin all the time and other instruments, it's basically mandatory the character play some instrument...
The sight of House and Wilson laughing together makes me cry a bit
That was obviously between takes.
Yes. YES!
Me too
@@alexveldhuis6004nah house Is truly happy with wilson
How can a human being be that talented? He is playing guitar, piano and harmonica. He is such a good actor and vocalist, on the top of it he speaks 3 languages. Incredible!
Don't forget he speaks American too.
He was already a established musician and actor before all this, everything else comes with decades of experience. He was already 50 here, if you reach that age and practice for at least hourly on a daily basis you'll get that good in a piano too
@@xyrenegade - two words: Eton College.
Speaks volumes.
Born with a great gift and bettered it by training and working his butt off.
One of the best British actors in history
The best episodes are the ones where House sings or plays something.
He plays everyone in all the episodes.
@@kissofdeath4449 That's why it's the best TV series
@@Eugenio_Forever Weeellllllll, it is a good TV show but it's flaws are obvious. Hugh Laurie is so good in it, he literally anchors the show together, flaws and all. Better Call Saul, for example, is an overall better show than House MD
Was thrilled when he played with Lucas. Michael Weston is Arthur Rubinstein's grandson.
I love how everyone's portrayed with their significant other and they just let house and wilson be together.
no one can convince me that they aren’t soulmates
I love how happy and at peace House looks when he plays music
Would have been gangsta if Chase got down on one knee and told Cameron no
Nigga I was thinking that was about to happen i was just wAITING
no lmao it would've been even funnier if SHE said no))
Would have been a dick move.
If you're gonna say no, say no. Don't turn it into some immature game of getting back at people you don't even want to be with
Tr8or haha that's exactly what I was thinking 😂
that's what i was expecting
That was a beautiful rendition of Georgia on My Mind. Laurie is a fricking genius
my FAVORITE non-season finale ending to a House episode
What is your favorite season finale ending?
Both Sides Now. So many possibilities and a lot of plots left dangling. Great. A close second is Wilson's Heart.
Not losing it after all - you're damn right, I refuse to ever lose House MD
Hugh laurie is the man bro. Once that harmonica comes in I get lost. Wish there was a longer cover of this!
Anyone else exhausted by Cameron's love for drama?
Since Episode 1.
since 00:00 episode 1, but I still kinda love her anyway
Cameron's a bitch. Perhaps moreso than Skylar from Breaking Bad.
XD
Cameron is like any other woman
One of the Greatest shows on TV ever created in history!!!
Bring house back to Netflix
It's on Prime
Bring house back 😭
TNTLord5 shhshanan
No. House ended. It was great.
Especially since the office is going
Hugh Laurie has too much talent for one human being. It should be spread around.
Sounds like communist propaganda to me
10 000 hour rule, get on it
Death is a preferable alternative to communism
Laurie is just trying to break the second rule of thermodynamics and postpone our heat death lol
@@happeloffical4187 Mr. Daliard! Mr. Daliard! We've been activated!
Ooo baby was that a Fender twin reverb behind House while he’s playing piano. Along with a Gibson Les Paul with a bigsby and a Gibson acoustic. A man of taste👏🏻👏🏻
I thought that I was the only gear geek that noticed things like that !!!
god damn! that twist from happy and calm to fricking terrifying. OoOoOOoooOohHhhHhHhh, just a chill up my spine.
One of my favorite endings to an unremarkable episode.
Perhaps that is why it was so effective.
Laurie's expression of fear sells what may have seemed hokey otherwise.
I think Chase was too good for Cameron. She didn't seem like a great person most of the time.
I agree. She was unsure of the relationship the whole time, forcing herself to be in it. That's why when she remarries and has a kid later on, she tells Chase "Idk, it just felt right this time".
Well, I think she's a good person, but indeed she isn't a good girlfriend at all.
She was awful.
It’s because that house every time say they are idiots hahahaha
@@sunmeetsingh679 That...never happened.
One of the best scenes of the entire show. And one of the best shows actually produced.
Because of this account, I finally broke down and bought the entire show and I couldn’t be happier
Love how he plays it with soul and feeling
Wilson and House laughing together. They could make a show about that
I spent the best days of my life watching this amazing Show.
Gone but not Forgotten 😅
This show Really knows how to use music
I love that they used Hugh's love for blues, it fits so perfectly for his character. He plays so well too.
The first time I watched the end of this episode I got chills all over my body. I didn't expect that emotional shift from ecstasy to creepy vibes.
Whats the context of the girl at the end? she seems like a figment of his imagination but idk what shes talking about
@@MattyBmemes okay so that girl at the end is Amber, a past member of House's diagnostic team. She died after she was bringing house home from a drunk night on a bus, and the bus crashed which lead to further medical complications. House blames himself for the death, because if he wasn't the person he was she wouldn't have died and Wilson (who was married to Amber) wouldnt have lost his wife.
After a while, he goes back on drugs and begins feeling happy again. He thinks he can manage being genius while being happy, something he thought he could only do when miserable.
However, due to Vicodin (the drug) side effects, he starts hallucinating and having paranoid delusions of Amber and someone else. Leads him down a bad path in the future.
It's a very very cool scene, as well as that scene where House is jamming with Lucas Douglas.
Too bad we know how this relationship ends xD
Patryk Kapłon it’s soooo sad. MY ONLY WISH FOR THIS SHOW WAS FOR SOMEONE TO BE HAPPY
@@magicallama3977 happiness comes in the end, its why tv shows are so miserable.
What happened
@@sainttotheO Watch the show! :)
You sob! Let me have this moment!
I miss Hugh Laurie. He’s super talented. There’s no one like him.
Me too. Try watching "Chance" as a remedy. He plays a doctor but he's much less sarcastic.
Maybe i should just rewatch it instead of watching all of these clips
Hahahaha same
The music in this show has always been exceptional this and dexter. There are a lot of covers played in both series where the song isn't expressed its just there
One of the reasons I love this show as a musician is incredible music. Many tracks from it are now staples in my personal playlist.
I think one of Chase's biggest mistakes was becoming involved with Cameron. She wasn't that great of a person, and she was far too messed up to have a stable relationship. If time travel was possible, I wonder if Future Chase would ever go back in time to tell his past self to stay away from Cameron because she was bad news.
LivanaFaolan I disagree. Yeah Cameron was messed up, but I think they genuinely did love each other and while the relationship was fated to end I doubt chase would regret it.
@@sparkynicole3941 yeah but she fine as heck though
Chase was house just exactly like in end of the series and they're relationships with Cameron
Both knew it was impulsive and stupid but one had the will power or arguably realistic disappointing expectations to relationships to know it wasn't gonna work
@@sparkynicole3941 I agree. Chase strikes me as a "better to have loved and lost" type. I don't think he regretted it; he genuinely loved her. And I think he knew, finally, that she genuinely loved him back, in her own weird, damaged, Cameron way.
Kind of like Cutty and House.
My jaw dropped when amber showed up at the end..
House is a total savage😂
Damn this scene still gives me goosebumps
1:59 its adorableeee
Watched house md twice already and probably gonna watch it a third time haha, its a great show.
My fourth time in progress right now.......What an awesome show
The end of this scene legit gave me chills the second time I watched it 10 years later. I’d forgotten. It was so happy and wholesome until the harmonica stops.
This kind of scenes make this show so personal
1:44 - continuity error: she swaps which eyebrow she kisses.
Sam Souyave-Murphy last minute, she was like “oh hell no, not the left brow”
😂
I just rewatched this episode and I had to come back and comment that this episode proved that Cameron had serious commitment issues. Maybe they were exacerbated from working with House but a normal girlfriend would have just told her boyfriend she wasn't ready or that it wasn't the right time given what just happened. This, plus the entire arc for these two in season 3, revealed how unhealthy their relationship was.
Love this scene. Been waiting for you to upload it for ages. Hugh is so talented it’s unbelievable!
Ayyy you got the exact same name as me. Preach it my clone! :)
I love how they made House be as talented as Hugh is, that way he can show off all his beautiful talents❤️
The only doctor that's also an amazing musician. Hugh Laurie can do it all!
Jesse Spencer is also an outstanding musician.
@@wobby1268 true
I declare this is the first time i see this house scene and from now, this is my favorite house scene, and its a wonderful, high class acting performance from hugh laurie... fucking BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My God the man has talent.
The ending is something straight out of a horror movie!
When I watched the episodes where Amber unexpectedly appears as a hallucination at the end, I legit couldn't sleep because it creeped me out so much as a kid
No, this is scarier because it comes out of nowhere. This is the reason horror movies often have to resort to jump-scares in order to surprise the audience.
season 5 is peak dr house imo, we see the madness that was always in him just unleashed
I've never seen the show, but I love Hugh Laurie and his musical talent, and when she says "looks like you're not losing it after all" my first thought was, you're absolutely losing it!
Dude you gotta see it.
If you don’t know, Hugh is an extraordinary musician, has a lot of soulful tunes.
I wish they had House play more in the show. I already enjoy a lot of Hugh Laurie's actual blues songs he has. They should have added more.
Yesss omg yes
House md is one of the best shows and house is the best character that was ever created and ever existed anywhere. Hugh Laurie was born to do it.
His musical talent is awesome!
I like that song, Is happy for sure, but with a bit of sorrow and melancholy
God, this takes me back.
If anyone is wondering u can listen to house (Hugh) singing and it's brilliant!
Could you please share it with me or point me to it? :)

me arrepia tanto house tocando essa música pqp
Throughout the whole series House is almost always frustrated or bitter, whether it be at people or the world around him, but aside from when he’s high, the only times you really see House genuinely happy and content is when he’s listening to music or playing it.
This show is so good
I used to watch this only via these clips as a poor, younger brit who missed out - but never went to the full thing cause i thought itd be a waste of money since i thought id seen all the best bits.. but if after this long there can still be awesome parts - im buying the full thing
It's honestly worth watching!
No need to buy it man. Www2.watchmovie.io got the full series on there. And no im not an ad bot just use the site myself.
That guy was in Neighbours, I love it, go Aussie!
Now that’s real talent
Cameron was the reddest of all red flags. 🤣
Chick Webb poster in the background: don't see that much! This show knew its music.
Best show ever
The best kids football coach of all time
Hugh Laurie....talented guy.
Hugh Laurie took piano lessons from when he was six. He not only plays the piano, but also guitar, drums, harmonica, and saxophone.
I watch it every year twice
All seasons?
This show was brilliant
2:41 - so I can keep replaying this part
Or the one where Wilson and House are laughing
@@_jovanaK1 :')
Great show & great character very well played.
My all time favorite.
I love house md
YEAH!
I always felt like Cameron's optimism was a good balance to Chase's pessimism.
Thirteen and Foreman were just a toxic relationship. The way this soap opera showed love in a realistic way was fascinating.
I wish there was a full version of this cover.
Man of many talents.
No title gang
Loved this show!
I’ve gad a quick scan of the comments below and whilst they are generally recognising, and are appreciative, of Hugh Laurie’s various talents a couple of his best qualities are not mentioned. He is a hilarious comic. He was one half of ‘Fry and Laurie’ a comedy partnership he formed with the also talented Stephen Fry at Cambridge when they were in the Cambridge Footlight Club. He also went out with the funny and talented Emma Thompson. Fry and Laurie performed to great acclaim at Comedy Festivals all over the world and had TV shows. Laurie also worked with other great British writers, actors and comedians in the Blackadder series. His ‘Prince Regent’ was a tour de force. He is also, unlike a hell of a lot of Hollywood performers, has managed to maintain a marriage of many, many years. Bravo Hugh!
Has anyone ever thought that this song was Hugh's inspiration for his intro to St James Infirmary?
The only marriage this show needed was between House and Wilson. Wilson finds out he was born overseas and so marries House for'citizenship reasons' :D
Ah, they wouldn't have. Gay marriage wasn't legal at that point.
Why isn’t this on Spotify, god damnit!
My wonderful very loved son Joel really enjoyed House MD. This guy was his ffavorite
Phenomenal
We always love what’s bad for us. And that’s why I play the blues
What key is that hamonica in?
@SorcererOne Its not G
Does a full version of the song (mouth accordion included) exist?
Hugh is so talented...
Nimrod Cohen when i grow up, i want to be just like him.
She proposed that he should propose to the person that proposed the proposing...
*I swear if he just kept pressing ‘G’ at the end it would’ve been perfect!*
Makes me wonder, if a different actor had played House, or if Hugh Laurie wasn't a musician, would they still have made House's character musically inclined? Or is that trait only there because he's played by Hugh Laurie?
They would have probably dubbed the piano scenes, or scenes with whatever instrument they chose. House is supposed to be a medical drama equivalent to Sherlock Holmes (Holmes-House, Watson-Wilson, drug addict, musician, loves solving puzzles no one else can solve, bit of a sociopath) so they’d need to give House a musical talent to fit with that outline.
Idk if people understand how difficult it is to play the piano and harmonica at the same time
He starts in 1:33
Cameron was just ruthlessly cute here. Jennifer Morrison does the best Sad Puppy Face I've ever seen. How could Chase resist? On top of that, he's in love with her. I'm *not* in love with her--she irritates me 90% of the time she's onscreen--and *I* would have proposed to her if she gave me That Face.
OH SHIT BOYS. WE GETTIN HIT WITH THAT HOUSE THROWBACK SON!
Yesterday I told to myself I will stop watching house.. 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣but I can't!.. 😅
