I have been following you and Curt since before you left the States, get up every morning hoping to see you on a venture. I will be 88 the first of Sept, a widow and love what you are doing. My husband and I travelled all states but 3 before he got not able. He passed 8 years ago. Love you both, be safe, pray for you all the time. I love your short hair, it is beautiful.
Aha! I thought I'd be the oldest at 76 (I can't get used to this Baby Boomer being this age)--but you are the age winner, Jean, 🙂 Congrats! And I'm very very happy to be your travelling companion!! I don't know about you---but I absolutely refuse to act my age! 🙂🙂🙂 Anyway---glad to meet you and to share this epic journey with you and Snow and Curt. (Hmmm.....wonder how old THEY are?? LOL!) 😲
17:25 Vicuñas are wild animals , while Llamas and Alpacas are domesticated. They are sheared once a year as a tradition of thousands of years ago. The name of this shearing ceremony is Chaccu . Key word -> Chaccu de Vicuñas
Congratulations on being so close to 100K!! You deserve every milestone!! Love your channel and love the four of you!!! Curt, your enthusiasm is contagious!! I can hardly wait to visit the city with you. Oh my gosh, the buildings are stunning!
Loved the views - enjoyed "the world's highest sand dune". And llama/alpaca heaven! The rock and ice formations, slot canyons - what a diversity of sights to see!
First... Snow, I love your natural color and curls; definitely keep em!!! Second... Curt, I'm glad you didn't decide to tackle that tall sand dune! I still recall your last encounter with a sand dune. (I was laughing with you man, not at you, I promise!! 🤭) Third... please tell me what critter that was at about 12 minutes into the video? Rabbits? Fyi... Been following you since the teary farewell episode you had with your family. It caught my attention, 🤔 made me teary-eyed, 😭 and I followed you ever since. (Definitely not in a creepy stalker way!! 😅) The other video that teared me up, was your angel tribute. 🥺 Totally hated to hear about her passing. 🙏🏽 Hope that little town is healing behind that terrible loss. Just wanted to jump in right quick, and say 'thank you' for your willingness to share your journey with everyone. Helps me know where I will not be going when I take up traveling!!! I will definitely look for Casper the Dune Buggy, but I will not 🙅🏽♀️ be visiting any mountainside burials. (You already helped me see them. I'm good... actually, I settled that decision once I caught my breath, while hanging for dear life on the side of my couch. 😬) Y'all stay safe, and keep the adventures coming!!! 💜
I love all the adventures you go thru, and love watching all, it seems that you spend so much time driving, and don’t get to enjoy a lot of the states. Don’t you get tired from driving so much.
I'm seriously behind on you guys videos. But Mucho Gracious for getting footage of the "mysterious crop drawings" for us!! When I lived in Upstate NY there was a goofball teenager running around Upstate NY messing with farmers crops to make crop circles or designs trying to freak people out but he only pissed off farmers and a few decided to stay up all night in their fields to catch the morons and they did within a week's time lol. Farming season in Upstate NY is a very short season and farmers really are not in the mood for nonsense and teenagers rightfully so lol I always wondered what farmers think when they see what some knucklehead has done to their crops especially down there where they use such a large area to do that stuff and money is not just free flowing in a country like Peru. . Unless the farmers themselves do it, I'm sure punishment when getting caught should be carried out by the poor farmers lol.
I don't know if anyone noticed this but around 8:35 the shot of the mountain in the early morning. You can see how the winds have shaped the side of the mountain perfectly over thousands of years of exposure. I get excited by this type of stuff and wondering if anyone noticed how perfectly lined up the the cliffs on the side of each mountain is with the next mountain. Pretty amazing site
Snow, I love your hair in this video. My hair returned curly after chemo, but it didn't hang around now. Thank you for sharing your experience with us makes me feel like I was there with you. Be safe, and on those roads, you have traveled, I would have had a heart attack. Later my tour buddies!
I wish so bad that I could give y'all a little bit of money to help you get the new lens you were talking about. I have been traveling with y'all since the beginning. I live on disability and a person can't afford anything for themselves when you live on a fixed income. I'm loving the journey and loving the fur babies Vanna and G. Every prayer morning and night I pray for yall's safety and pray that somehow we will get that lens. Love you both. Be safe lol I'm riding with you too!
In the minutes 23.37 you saw or passed it, is the Smurfs Town (la aldea de los pitufos) they are more in the back where is some people lives inside the rock cones, that place name is (pampachiri) in the Province of Andahuaylas (Departamento or State of Apurimac-Peru) cheers🙂👍
Oohhh! Pura Caña Donaires?? My family's?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 In this case, "pura caña" stands for rum. Rum is made from sugar cane. Therefore, if you see anything with "caña," and you don't see a sugar cane press, assume it's booze. If you pay attention to the video you posted, you'll see it's a liquor store. :) Great video as always! Thanks for the awesome tour!
08:10 . . . 500 years ago, condors were flying all over the Andean Mountains in Venezuela , Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. They were extinct in Venezuela and some few dozens in Colombia and Ecuador. Fortunately Condors are protected by Law in Peru. That is why we can spot them all over the country.
I actually got very lucky and saw an Andean condor in Colombia... He was literally flying about 100 meters above the van. It was truly amazing to see! But... Curt was on a hike with all of the camera gear so I did not get to share with all of you. We will keep looking!
Congrats on your RUclips success. I love your vblogs and I often share with friends. I love this specific drive with the wildlife. What a treat! Thank you so much for bridging us along ❤️
😂😂 stop Snow stop There’s some birds Love it ❤️ Alpaca jam 😂 Every time I hear Snow say “and” it cracks me up so much 🤭 If only all of us could be fortunate enough to travel with our best friend/husband/wife/partner…. We would all be blessed just like you two are ❤️
Snow, when you visit your niece to see her, and meet her newborn baby can you film your reunion please? I love seeing people bear hug their loved ones with happy tears. I see this on military moms and dads surprise visiting their kids, and it's so heart warming! :)
I took the flight over the Nazca Lines. The scale and wide area these figures cover was absolutely mind boggling. Also visible from the air...tire tracks 🙁 that will be there forever.
Just wanted to thank you for taking us armchair travelers with you on your adventures. You have know idea how much this means to us want-a-be travelers who will never make it to South America but have really enjoyed traveling along with you!! You are my favorite show on RUclips and just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Love from Texas!
I love that you include the description & history of the places that you explore. I cracked up when you came to the alpaca road block. Great drive today.
I’ve been waiting with anticipation to see Nazca and Machu Picchu with you all!!! I know who the surprise guest coming is!!! I won’t give it away, but this friend came to Medellin, Columbia and knows 🌱plants !
Thank you Curt and Snow ! You have made me an armchair Traveler. I love all your South American episodes especially Peru. It educated me on history. Congrats to both of you! So well deserve 100k milestone ❤️❤️❤️ Can’t wait for your next episode.

Thank you for taking such good care of your kitties. I am the old (58 years) scary cat lady in my family. I am single, no kids with one cat. (one right now anyway-used to have four). I want to get a van and travel with my fur-baby. (at least the US and Canada) Would love to do the world tour like you guys, but have to see how finances dictate. Watching you folks helps me to keep my dream alive, AND learn about how to travel with my fuzzy baby. Thank you so much for sharing the journey online. This way I still get to complete the tour even if finances don’t let me do it first hand. I know it is a lot of extra work and expense to take us with you. Just wanted to let you know how much it is appreciated and how inspirational you are to all. Especially women like me that lives life a little left of center. With some planning and work, I hope to meet you on the road one day. Thank you for sharing the larger world and YOUR world with us. Happy trails my friends!
Janet.... What a great comment! Nothing wrong with being the family's resident cat lady.... Or with leaning a little left! I can't wait to hear about you and your kitty hitting the road in a van 😊
Wow! Peru has every kind of land you could imagine. I love all the animals. I can not imagine living in some of the structures you have shown us but I'm certain many Peruvians would not be too happy living where I live. Thank you for this amazing journey.
Oh what a fun video. Again more spectacular scenery and cool wildlife! I am really glad you guys had good roads for the drive. Hope you reach 100k subscribers soon. Your channel provides high quality, engaging entertainment! You guys Rick!💕😎🌟👍🏻
Great news that more people are finding your channel. The line drawings are crazy fascinating. I am in the aliens camp 😉with those. I wonder if the International space station crew can see those.
I’m surprised that you don’t have way more then 100 thousand subscribers, your trip is beautiful I have been with you for a long time, you guys are so fun….and snow is a rockstar for doing her knee surgery and recovery she is doing great…..curt you go your drone work has come so far your photography has also gotten so good.. travel on……..❤️❤️❤️
I am in total AWE at what you two get up to on your travels! Complete with pussycats! I often dreamed of going on a travel such as this- well , not quite - I live in New Zealand & my daughter went to Peru - she bought me a baby Alpaca poncho which is so soft and cuddly!
As an older armchair traveler, I have RUclips subscriptions to air, sea, and land on all seven continents. I'm learning a lot but have to say that yours is my favorite for identifying with and the amount of information given on your surroundings. I live in Alaska's Interior, where FDR sent many of the dust bowl refugees, and thus, this is farm country along with Mennonites and Russian Old Believer farms. We have many llamas, alpacas, and those small, sturdy Icelandic horses on the surrounding farms. We also have 100 miles from me, the tallest mountains in the world outside of Everest. Someday you might want to go north after going as far south as possible...
Wow !!! Almost 100k !! 🥳🥳🥳🥳 I started following you guys around the 15k mark ... soooooo well deserved... you guys work so hard to make all your viewers feel like there along for this amazing journey ❤️🤗
OK question time. What is the difference between a Llama and Alpaca and I didn't quite hear what you guys said those animals were at the National Park Reserve but it literally looked just like a Llama and Alpaca. And Curt you said that they were recovering? What were they recovering from or just different injuries or is there something environmental going on that is effecting the animals? But I can tell you that lady literally has the coolest office in the world lol. That gorgeous place is not such a bad view out the office window.. lol Sorry it's taking me nearly two hours to watch this video. I've watched part of it on the TV and parts while taking a break from driving through Texas desert and hill country. Parts of Peru looks a little bit like certain parts of Texas. That I have noticed lol
This has been so interesting, Thankyou. Remember to keep the windows cracked for Vanna Maybe the cats eat to help their ears pop like we do when we suck a candy on a plane flight
We are for sure keeping fresh air flowing thru.... Vanna is doing amazing! G has learned to headbutt us and meow loud when his ears are popping. When we rub them it seems to help them pop!
@@panzerswineflu Oh! How wonder filled would that be! I sometimes look outside and watch a vulture circle the sky catching the air currents to go higher and glide farther over the land in search of catching the odor of a dead carcass carried up in the air. Sorry, didn’t mean to be morose. The Condor, must be a sight to see!!! Maybe one day, you will soar too with them! I hope you will!
Nice to see the wildlife! Thank you for the drive by I enjoyed watching this video. The llamas and Alpacas were cool to see. So much cool stuff!! Stunning drive is right!
Funnest part for sure was booking down the highway looking at animals trying to get Vanna to a lower elevation. Congratulations on all the new viewers. I love all your videos.
That was an EPIC drive, you guys! You are going to remember those landscapes your whole lives! You are living my all-time dream, and I am so grateful you are sharing it with us - thank you!
Good times... and remember to always keep a big berth between you and the enormous semis of combustible liquids on the highways of developing countries! 😆
Always so amazing to see that green along the river right by the dessert. Yep Camo Dave did a great job finding some quality nomads. 🎆🎉✨ closing in on 100k subscribers. Woo Hoo!!!
Hope you were able to see Sacsaywaman (& the name Cusco from the viewpoint of Sacsaywaman) while there. By the time you read this you will most likely be past Machu Picchu but hope you opted for a tour - so many details and awesome views! Love your enthusiasm as you drive and the views. What an adventure! 😊
Loving the trip. Learning so much. Have heard about Peru in the past from missionaries but seeing it through your travels has made it really come alive. Thanks as always for bringing me along. Take care.
Hari Om That was a stunning drive and I could feel your frustration at having to pass through it so quickly... then again, it made the sightings all that more precious. I read about the Nasca lines probably forty years back and was fascinated by them - one of the continued great mysteries! I envy your having been right by them. ...and now, on to the 'big one'!!! YAM xx
Yay, you made it! I think you’ll love Cusco. I sure hope you’ll be able to hike into Machu Pichu. Although you have the kitties 🤔 I know you can take the train, but the hike is incredible but very difficult. I did the 5 day hike in, but I think they have a 3 day hike. Glad you are there and I would just say take it all in. Safe travels 😊🙏

How can we not follow you. You’re living the dream traveling around the world.✊🏼Truely balm for the soul! Happy 100,000 subscribers. Love you guys❣️
I remember when Todd left Columbia and he said he would see you at Machu Pechu (spelling?). Sounds like that. is happening soon 😀
Snow, when you visit your niece to see her, and meet her newborn baby can you film your reunion please? I love seeing people bear hug their loved ones with happy tears. I see this on military moms and dads surprise visiting their kids, and it's so heart warming! :)
Chincilla's hopping around the museum!
Hello 👋how are you doing?
They were so stinking cute! I screamed.... "THE RABBITS HAVE LONG TAILS"! I was like a little kid! LOL
I took the flight over the Nazca Lines. The scale and wide area these figures cover was absolutely mind boggling. Also visible from the air...tire tracks 🙁 that will be there forever.
Wish - this was on my bucket list in my youth
The tire tracks are sad 😔
Andean condors huh? Definitely stepping up your bird game.

Amazing video! Thank you for showing me places I will never see.
Glad you enjoyed Gilda... we are happy to share the journey!
Hi guys! So exciting! I would have reacted just like you when you saw nature, wildlife and just the overall appreciation for life. Thank you.
Alpacas and llamas were literally everywhere!!!
Excellent husband Snow. The best.

Neat celebration in Peru? Or where ever you are when you hit
100000...or maybe a live stream?
Nice to see the wildlife! Thank you for the drive by I enjoyed watching this video. The llamas and Alpacas were cool to see. So much cool stuff!! Stunning drive is right!
It was a fun few days for sure 😊
Wow. The scenery. Seeing CONDOR. Just amazing. They are almost extinct.
Happy to have you along for the ride Gaby
Good times... and remember to always keep a big berth between you and the enormous semis of combustible liquids on the highways of developing countries! 😆
Always so amazing to see that green along the river right by the dessert. Yep Camo Dave did a great job finding some quality nomads. 🎆🎉✨ closing in on 100k subscribers. Woo Hoo!!!
Still just shocked that he's gone 😔
Still just shocked that he's gone 😔

Happy to have you along for the ride 🚐😊
Really enjoy your video’s
Hope you were able to see Sacsaywaman (& the name Cusco from the viewpoint of Sacsaywaman) while there. By the time you read this you will most likely be past Machu Picchu but hope you opted for a tour - so many details and awesome views! Love your enthusiasm as you drive and the views. What an adventure! 😊
Loving the trip. Learning so much. Have heard about Peru in the past from missionaries but seeing it through your travels has made it really come alive. Thanks as always for bringing me along. Take care.
It's a surprising country for sure!!
Hope Vanna continues to adapt to the elevation. Beautiful drive, loved seeing all the llamas alpaca and sheep critters. Very cool
A - MAZ - ing! Beautiful scenery, great camera work. I felt like I was there. Looking for the gas gauge! LOL Thanks.
Loved the video. The colours were stunning. Do you have a paypal account. I would like to buy you a beer somewhere and a treat for the cats.
Cheers ⚘️💕
Wow!
More maps, please!
We try ... But we need to have good internet to download the maps ... That's easier said than done down here 🤣🤣🤣 but we will try to do better
Can’t wait to take my sprinter van on a journey like yours
Do it!!!!!
We are hearing reports that ticket sales to Machu Pichu are being restricted and are only available in Cousco. There are riots at the entrance.
Hari Om
That was a stunning drive and I could feel your frustration at having to pass through it so quickly... then again, it made the sightings all that more precious. I read about the Nasca lines probably forty years back and was fascinated by them - one of the continued great mysteries! I envy your having been right by them. ...and now, on to the 'big one'!!! YAM xx
Yep.... It's a big one for sure!
Cusco- ugh!!!! I flew from Lima to Cusco and got elevation sickness immediately upon leaving the plane. I hope your kitties can take that elevation.
Thanks for this trip, it’s like a travel documentary of all the things I want to see ❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼😍
So glad you are finally in Cuzco. There is a tea there that can help with elevation. I wonder if it can help the cats…. Enjoy the journey!
We need to ask a vet if they can have the tea 🤔
Wow another great drive … be safe & enjoy
