I personally want to thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for taking me along I will never see these sites otherwise and I enjoyed the ups as well as downs because let’s be real that’s what life is about thank you thank you happy journey happy travels
Greetings from 7500' in Colorado. Just a quick note about altitude sickness cause 9000-11000 is pretty high. Get some Rolaids. There's magnesium and an enzyme that helps oxygenate your blood. Tums etc doesn't work the same. We've had friends visit us from sea level, get altitude sickness and recover in 15-30 minutes. Hope this helps.
Oh my lord, I apologize in advance because you guys cracked me up!! I’m Peruvian born and raised but moved to the USA 21 years ago. We are planing on going to Peru at Christmas time, and somehow I ended up with your videos. Seeing you struggle with the A/C, bathroom issues ( bring your own TP?!) the noise issues, the altitude, the way Peruvians drive . The way you just leave your stuff in the car and leave!! I was screaming at my phone what are you doing? I’m so glad you guys weren’t robed! Lol All that drive you guys did it was just CRAZY! Lol You guys are great. Great adventure! Great trip I am enjoying it.
Peru looks fabulous! How cool to travel around and make memories together. Those mountain landscapes make me so envious! Y'all seem so calm about the car blocking you from leaving. My kiddos would be losing their minds, which would make me follow suit (I am sure😜).
This trip is my favorite so far...i like it when you show the not so great stuff! So real and authentic. I think you're all ready to come to the Phiippines!
6.45 YEAH EVE!! Very inspiring; I sometimes start to feel down about things others around me can do and I can't, but in those moments I should adopt Eve's attitude "Don't care, I'm still fabulous!" and focus on what I CAN do. And it cracked me up at the same time...
Somehow I missed this one when you were first publishing these. This video really made me stop and think about my travel plans and what I want to do next. Thanks for always sharing the good and the rough and the beauty. :
Hello. It is not coincidence that you ate Tasty Cheap Lunch in Peru. The quality of the ingredients (usually organic vegetables and grains) and the quality of the Peruvian Cousine is well known in this part of the Globe
I adore how you all acknowledge Eve and her uncertainties to new environments and experiences, yet include and push her along to be part of the crowd. As an autism mom, I completely get it and understand the fight.
Kudos for your trip! The rock slides are a bit disconcerting so I am glad you didn't have rain as that is a bit more tenuous as the hillsides give away under those conditions if it gets too bad.....living in the mountains we see it all the time, but it is still an uneasy feeling. Glad all are safe and I am happy you are having some down time. Enjoy and God bless your travels!
Thank you for sharing the ups and downs of your trip, like you said it makes the final destination more enjoyable when you’ve seen everything along the way!
Looks like you are having a good time. Love the scenery and the food looks fantastic! The hocks are delicious . I hope you show some of their crafts. Enjoy yourselves.
As a Jamaican I often forget that the rest of the world isn't used to tropical topography. The sheer cliffs, dirt roads and greenery is literally just a drive into the country here. 🤷🏻♀️
First off thank you so much for sharing this videos with us, it’s so pretty and beautiful I hate some of the kids got sick I hope they get better with the higher elevations. It’s been so fun to see this, every thing so far ihave seen it’s been so mind blowing safe travels
Gorgeous spot. I had no idea that the landscape in Peru was as varied as it is. Thanks for taking the long drives to show us that so that we don't have to! Mike, it struck me at the end of this video that you have the perfect beginnings of a handlebar moustache!
My, my, my, the scenery was sososo beautiful....I was a little frighten for you at points but I loved seeing the mountains. Normally, I like looking at you when you are talking but I paniced when you turned the camera on you because I was missing the scenery. Thank you so much for sharing this trip. Stay safe.
When Eve was saying her tablet died, was she doing a coughing/dying sound to say that? Shes hilar. Good driving, Mike will need some therapy after that lol. That Hyundai van is a beast. Thanks so much for showing us your travels it is so beautiful!
Having a GREAT time watching your Peru videos! I know it made you a little nervous you were saying to put the "Good, the bad & the ugly" out there of your trip..but it is real life! I applaud you for it! It looks beautiful there..have been just checking everyday and waiting for a new video from the Knorpps! Love you guys ❤
Looks realy amazi g and realy nerve-wracking, it's great to see how u know to enjoy everything life throws at u as a fun family adventure. Here is an idea for a place which has much much less driving and crazy roads that I think your family would enjoy for your next adventure, Israel, its sooooo beautiful and full of stuff your family would enjoy lots of diffrent things to do but no crazy traveling between diffrent places. Keep having fun
thanks for sharing the good and the bad, we had trouble with our travel tent trailer while in the Canadian Rockies in 2016, but kept going on, our best memories are the beautiful country site and the good times we had. In this video , in the part where the children where playing outdoors I felt like they should have been signing the Hills are alive from the Sound of Music movie lol and Mike you are a Hero, my husband would not have been as patient as you driving those roads. 😅
I am so happy that you all get to experience life the way you do. I hope someday my family could take on an adventure like you all are experiencing. Best wishes
So glad you have made it to a place you can “do nothin” and rest up !! Looks like a fun place to explore a little while you regroup and gear up for the next leg of your journey !!! Blessings
Listening to you talk about elevation made me wonder about where I live . Hold onto yer hats........ 10 meters !!... hahaha. Glad you're taking a day off tomorrow... you both look like you need a quiet restful day. Bouquets of roses and boxes of chocolates to the kids. They seem to be taking it all in stride, and very well behaved in restaurants. Kudos to awesome parenting. Did Megan bring along an extra toothbrush or two for that just in case one gets left behind?.. Ha. Thanks for another great video... and enjoy some R&R tomorrow. 💟
I live at sea level and when I took a trip to Breckenridge and Estes Park, Co. I developed a dry cough from the altitude change. In Breckenridge you could actually rent O2 tanks, which I didn’t do, but should have.
Such amazing views, wow. Glad you are all having some R&R tomorrow , some time to refresh and enjoy your surroundings. Again. Happy 15th Birthday Andrew🎉🎂. Big Hugz
Loved this one !!! The scenery during the drive was so beautiful. You must have the patience of a saint to wait for that car to be moved so you could leave. My husband woulda gotten stroppy. Lol. Your accomodation for tonight looks so great too. Fantastic choice !! 💙
Love you guys too. So glad you have arrived in the Peru of your dreams. The kids seam to be holding up ok. They are well seasoned travellers. God bless you all.
When I was a kiddo in the 50s we went on a few long road trips. My mom did the driving (dad was handicapped ) dad always had the map out on his lap navigating. I had my own map in the back seat and that's how I learned. Can you imagine? No cell, no GPS? One time we got stuck and my mom hitchhiked into town to get help. Gulp!
How’s the internet situation there? Hope you had a good chat with Elijah.... I’m so excited to see your vacation video uploads i literally,NO JOKE, had a dream that i was with you on your vacation... like, that’s how much invested i am with your adventure... just to share, i dreamed i was with you guys in that airbnb where you showed that indoor-outdoor area where you can open the sliding glass doors all the way...but for some reason, it was raining and the outside was, well, it was near the ocean (where of course, you guys are so far away from right now)... and as i said, it was raining and it was raining fishes... like aquarium fishes...saw some up close in my dream...like there was a black and yellow angel fish, some silver and orange ones, some silver and blue and blue and yellows.... and then i woke up... the breeze from the rain was good to feel on the face though... so yeah.... I’m guess I’m with you guys on your vacation in imagination and dreams... always keep safe and take care you guys... remember to always HYDRATE... God bless!!
Truly beautiful and I agree- you earned the valley wow. :) Perk of land travel. Thanks for sharing. Never been interested in Peru but you make me. :) Also your road montage made me remember my husband's and mine car rental day on an island in Croatia in our honeymoon. Makes me excited to go road tripping and travelling with my future kids when they are a bit older. Have a 15 month old and another one expected in late July. I think if you go to my end of the world, Scandinavia, that you would enjoy Norway road tripping. That's a dream I have at least. Check out Lofoten. And Swedish Lapporten. A different type of mountains for sure, but breathtaking to hike in. Can't wait to see the next upload! All my best!/ Livvey
Oh and about the lovely lunch! I found on my travels (and I think you must already know, really) that the best, most hygienic and cheapest foods always are places like the one you were in. At least in countries like Peru, India, Thailand. Places where locals go, or that are aren't catered towards only tourists passing by. My best plate was a buffet style all you can eat 'thali' in an local place off the tourist main road in center of New Delhi. Only gori (white) person there. 30 rupees. This was 2007. Equaled to 30 cents I think. 100 rupees was almost 1 dollar that year. So. Yeah. :) Also, a small styrofoam cup of delicious chai off the street vendors was 5 rupees. Never felt so rich. Gives you perspective. Kudos for giving that to your kids and yourselves.
You guys must have nerves of Steel I would have been screaming and hollering and cussing my patience would have ran out by now thanks for sharing good luck

These vlogs are making me miss Peru. I spent a few months in Ollaytaytambo working with a foundation located there. I truly miss the people there who are the kindest I have met as well as the beautiful country.
I don't know if there are touristy places along your route at all-or if they would even have it-but there is aerosol oxygen for altitude sickness. I get really sick in the Rockies. It does help!
very beautiful. once we were in the mountains and the gps kept trying to have us drive through a river. people that lived there had us follow them back to a highway.
Those roads... whoa!! And how frustrating about the random car parked behind yours. I am so impressed that you are holding it together. I’d be a wreck! Lol

You guys are going to need a vacation from this vacation lol.good attitude about the whole thing.
Your kids are so patient !! I don’t think I would be as easy going as they are.
Bemandi B sane here !
Bemandi B The parents are easy going too! I get nervous at some places, so amazed and filled with admiration that they don’t!
Guys, just amazing editing! I absolutely loved listening to the perfect music and seeing that scenery, just wow!!
I personally want to thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for taking me along I will never see these sites otherwise and I enjoyed the ups as well as downs because let’s be real that’s what life is about thank you thank you happy journey happy travels

I've heard that one should drink plenty of water before and after changing altitudes. Was advised of this when visiting Colorado.
Also you can get certain like bracelets that help with altitude and motion sickness.
My home is at 8500ft in Colorado aswell! I love visiting sea level because it's so easy to breathe.
That's good to know, I've never had altitude sickness but I'll keep this in mind 👍🌞
Loving your videos. Thanks for sharing part of your days with us!!
Mike is the man!!!

Two-ply & a bathtub! Luxurious in my book 👍🏻 That valley looks amazing, what a diverse environment. You need a 4x4 van. 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

How is the weather there?
very beautiful. once we were in the mountains and the gps kept trying to have us drive through a river. people that lived there had us follow them back to a highway.
Thanks for taking us along!
Those roads... whoa!! And how frustrating about the random car parked behind yours. I am so impressed that you are holding it together. I’d be a wreck! Lol
Now this is the Peru I was waiting for! Are you going to Machu Pichu? Thank you for sharing your trip with us.❤🙏...Those are the Andes Mts I presume...
Yes and yes!
Fabulous trip!
I’m so glad you made it safely and no more altitude sickness, your bodies are adapted in the hardest way (😂😂) but you met places few people really know, even Peruvians for it’s hardness.
In the last video I told you some of the history of the way you took.
Now enjoy Cusco, the valley, Machu Picchu and it’s energy.
Be aware of the roads, it’s rainy season and always there are landslides. Be careful and good luck. Blessings
Random question, Megan! Where's your gold circle chain necklace from?? I love it!
Glad you asked that I wanted to know to.
