@@Jiff321 he wasn't "weird" at all. He was very mainstream, hence the massive popularity. I'm not a hater and think he got a bad rap for "stealing jokes" by jealous comedians who he shot past in popularity by appealing to a very mainstream sensibity. He's not my thing, but I give him props for setting several records in attendance and sales. He was HOT and I think that pissed older comedians off. A lot of "hardcore" comedy fans didn't like him, but he snagged the casual fan en masse.
He had clips that were very funny right when MySpace took off and he went hugely viral. As a result, he was selling out stadiums very early in his career.

I thought the same thing. However, in fairness, she was American and they're British. She was born in 1860 and became famous as an author and activist. Patty Duke won the Academy Award for playing her as a child. Powerful movie. Imagine learning to read and write, without being able to see or hear.

@@pmbbmp shocking was an appropriate word for how they felt, though. ethnocentric is just you being fucking pedantic. also, what reason would he have to believe she was blind? well, I'm guessing that since he's older he probably knows who she was, but wasn't sure if she was deaf, blind, or both. if you couldn't come to that conclusion on your own, you should probably zip it about testing the education of others.

Helen Keller was both blind and deaf. Speaking of which, I had an idea for a video game years ago, The Helen Keller Experience. It's just a black screen with no sound and you use your controller to perform tasks, though you have no clue what they are. More often than not you'd suddenly get a Game Over screen and you'd have no idea why.

Joe Rogan is just as unfunny. At least Amy Schumer is good at offensive/awkward sketch comedy, although she does suck at stand up.
Steve Hostetler has an actual YT channel just of heckling interactions. People pay money for a ticket, and rather than let the comedian do the act, so nimrod decides to have a conversation! Most comedians (in my experience) are quick, bright, and usually destroy the idiot trying to challenge them in their 'house'. So hard to understand the thinking--not all is down to drink,

Hecklers in comedy clubs all come down to a law of nature: Drunk people all think they're funny.
I actually laughed pretty hard at the "take the draw" line and "you're in a blackout" lines from Amy Schumer. I think some comedians aren't really funny on stage doing bits, but they can be hilarious when they are just ad-libbing and reacting. Chris D'elia is another one who I find funnier when he is a guest on podcasts vs his last few standup specials.

It always baffles me when people who don't understand comedy decide to go see a standup comedian. And then they show how arrogant and spoiled they are by heckling and demanding that all the jokes suit their personal opinions on any given topic. If you don't like it, find something else to do. Freedom is for everyone, not just those with no sense of humor.

Most comedians work out material in smaller comedy shows doing the same material for the year (or two). Then they release a special and repeat the process again. A new set that the work out again.

Calling amy schumer a comedian is a bit of a stretch.
Another reason Joe Rogan has confidence, against heckler's, he has multiple black belts from multiple disciplines. Joe rogan's kicks, when he kicks a boxing bag, sound like gunshots going off.
They had him and a heavyweight kickboxer, kick one of those pads where it tells you how many pounds of force. No matter how hard the pro kickboxer tried, he couldn't get a better score than Joe rogan, who is wearing a pair of blue jeans and a half a foot shorter

Hello! There is this Indian stand up comedian called Kenny Sebastian. Would love to hear your thoughts on his comedy.
Dane Cook got huge at stand-up - I mean huge, and crossed over and did several successful comedy movies. He had an "edge" to his comedy - a snark. These are his controversies: a) some drama over joke stealing, b) his manager slash brother stole like a bunch of millions, and Dane sent him to jail, c) he's now married to a VERY much younger woman - something like 52 and 19? Too lazy to look it up, and d) like Icarus, he flew too close to the sun, and grew bigger than "too big to fail" - and he ended up resented by the public somehow, like someone else said a la Nickelback. Now he's coming back.
