This version of Batman is not inherently evil, just more twisted and more violent. I like the way Bruce trained, very reminiscent of the origin of Bane.
I agree, this is what certainly could of happened in the main universe if he fell into his Anger and Madness from the loss of his parents. Instead of training with Martial Artists and detectives. He trained under Serial killers, Assassins, Cat burglars and mob bosses. Not a batman of justice. But a Batman of Vengeance and Punishment. Might be my favorite "Dark" Batman as of now.
He’s more mislead than anything. Any morals or inspiration went out the window because he simply went Crazy
My thoughts exactly. He's not a villain, he's more of an antihero in this world, which I like. Not all dark multiverse batmen should be evil, just not entirely good.
Not really sure why those cat burglars and mob bosses are in Arkham though, shouldn't those people be in an actual prison than a mental hospital?
Truth be told they could make a cool video game based on the entire premises
They should make a version of Batman: Dark Multiverse where his parents were never killed, but as Bruce got older, enjoying the luxuries of wealth, he became consumed by greed. Eventually the Orange Lantern Ring finds him.
This would be dope 🔥🔥🔥
amen, yessir
That would be amazing to see.
@Coom Lord Well 67 other people disagree.
@Coom Lord Well if it's made you don't have to read it.
This Batman is actually dope and should stick around.
Nooooooo dont say that cause then hes gonna turn into the new bat who laughs and hes gonna be in everything
@@alc156 um bruh theirs allot of dope dark batman. Mind hunter etc.
@@heraldofthunder6244 lol not saying its a bad character its just if it blows up in popularity they are going to give it the bat who laughs treatment and make him a character that comes out in like everything to the point it kills the interest in the character
@@alc156 I know you didn't say he was a bad character. I just said they could do that to literally all these new dark batmen.
@@alc156 but I would love to see a dark superman ww flash darkside.
so badass, his cape is a bunch of straight jackets, brooooo
Didn’t notice till you mentioned it. Great catch
@@Aristocratic13 haha I clicked his comment to say the same. Didnt notice until reading the comment. And I'm grateful it was pointed out. Those small details always enhance costumes like that so much.
@@w1lDstYLe It adds to the mythos and mystique too
Dick Grayson: Lets handle this calmly and collectively.
Jason Todd:
*So anyways I started Blasting..*
First time I’ve ever seen this comment and I’m 💀! 😂😂😂
This world seems like it would make a great Elseworlds mini-series: A dystopian Gotham under joint rule by the Court of Owls and the League of Shadows, a population that veers on full revolt, and a cruel Batman who learned all his skills from super-villains. I hope this world gets expanded upon.
I feel that is true of most of the alternate universe Batmen
There were a couple things I wanted to see, like when we got shone those dark multi-verse versions of the heroes, like a zombie looking green lantern with the ring embedded in his head, or a flash with the bottom half of a mechanical spider, or a doctor fate with a necklace of body parts, I want to know the stories of all of those.
Kinda Batman : Year 100 vibes
I think that's what DC is setting up with these and a Crossover of worlds.
Just give me a game made by rocksteady
Hell, these individual stories of the Dark Multiverse are more interesting than what they're doing with T.B.W.L who has sadly been burnt out and overused like the Court of the Owls after their debut.
You put this comment on DopeSpill lmao.
@s l e e p y m a c h i n e the whole bmwl went way too far like really killing a version of doctor Manhattan then taking his body? Then rigging the moebius chair? So dumb lol
@s l e e p y m a c h i n e u said it best man walking plot device that literally no one asked for and hes not even a big villain tbh
Overused is simplifying it. So tired of him
@s l e e p y m a c h i n e yes. This. He was so interesting when he came out, much like these tales from the dark multiverse, but at this point the batman who laughs feels very very forced into the stories hes playing a huge part in.
Actually, I’d like to point out that this version of Bruce wasn’t broken and descended into madness. He faked madness, which is explained on the list of skills he learned from the inmates of Arkham. One of which was how to fake a worsening psychological condition.
That's because he's not evil he's an extremely dark hero that has no qualms about killing those who have been harmful to the Innocents of Gotham for notice he started a war with the corrupt elites that were connected to both THE LEAGUE OF ASSASSINS and THE COURT OF OWLS not anyone good so I still believe he has some sense of justice and Morality that can't be compromise by someone like the batman who laughs at least I hope! Lol 💯🔥😁😉👍
19:49 Did you ever hear of the Tragedy of Batman the Silenced? I thought not. It's not a story the Bat Family would tell you. It's an Arkham legend...
I wouldn't mind seeing this as a prelude towards introducing a "new" Batman, you know, a "Thomas Wayne, Jr." who was mentally insane (who would have had been the Owlman of the Court of Owls, had it not been for the "accident").
Bro I was sitting here thinking “I wonder if the dude with the mustache is gonna comment here” and BOOM. You are
It's you 😂
I am all for an animated dark multiverse series!!!!
I'm all in to, maybe somewhere in the next 5 years
1000% YES
That would be so dope.
Animated like the Spawn cartoon
Like one episode for each story, then in the finale or nearing the finale we'd get something like a mass crossover between all of them.
Or something like that, I don't know... What do you guys think?
Completely missed opportunity. I heard a rumor there were going to be more of these tales that would lead to an assembly of these Dark Universe characters that would be used to fight something...........huge later.
Yes, there are going to be more tales from the Dark Multiverse. They will involve Flashpoint, War of the Gods, Crisis on Infinite Earths, Dark Knights Metal. And the supposed "heroes" will be recruited by Tempest Fuginaut (I might have spelled that wrong) to fight in the Death Metal stories.
Tempus Fuginaut said something like that in Tales of Dark Multiverse: Knightfall page 6.
He said that there was a Crisis coming, probably the biggest yet and that he was wandering the Dark Multiverse in search of worlds or heroes that might be helpful.
Yea then Dan dido got fired
Maybe they'll face the marvel characters in secret crisis?
@@Yasuda9000 i have questions about how will crisis on infinite earths work
bruh his cape is a straight jacket! that's dope
This Batman doesn't sound that evil tbh, hes just willing to kill this time.
Honestly if the name wasn't already taken, The Arkham Knight would fit this character perfectly
The fact that Bruce was trained by the inmates and is the culmination of that training just makes the name a perfect match, plus his design is amazing
The Silenced: You took everything from me!
Thomas Elliot: I don't even know who you are!
The Dark Multiverse Series should have an animated anthology tv series. That would be cool. Each episode telling a different one of these stories.
The writers would be incapable of anything remotely as well made as the comics. 🤷♂️
@@PirateKingBoros No just make the comics in a tv episode and as new dark multiverse comics come out release a new episode.
@@sparkslegends7482 They wouldn't do that though unfortunately
YES
This is a good a idea
I’m so happy that tales of the dark multiverse is back
Could you cover Batman: Hush. It sounds amazing.
Got about half way and stopped, gonna have to buy this and read it myself lol
Rob my man is always giving actual historical context throwing out ideas like this being like the Bolshevik revolution. Like Rob watching your videos I’ve learned so much about so many different topics.
This Batman is literally a living Spectre. Just after revenge.
This is cool. I kinda want to see Dark Multiverse versions of "Kingdom Come", "The New Frontier", "All-Star Superman", "Batman: Venom", "Batman: The Killing Joke", "Wonder Woman: Paradise Lost", "JLA: Tower of Babel", and "Batman Beyond".
I like how everyone of the bat family kills when not influenced by Batman
I'm excited to see how they're gonna do the Flashpoint story. That alternate timeline was already dark enough and it was the event that kicked off the entire New 52.
Maybe that will be the story that created the Last 52.
That's impressive that he could kill Cassandra and beat Tim down like that so quickly.
This reminds me of the Count of Monte Cristo.I would have loved a story of the league of assassins vs the court of owls
Great narration as always, Rob! Love your catchphrase when you start your videos: "Let's Begin". Awesome!
Comics Explained: "A rocket comes out of nowhere and shots the helicopter down."
Comicstorian: "Then a rocket comes streaking across the sky and hits the helicopter, sending it crashing to the ground!"
It's all in the name
Comics EXPLAINED: tell it how it is
ComicSTORIAN: Exaggerate everything and make it as interesting as possible
This Batman is pretty damn dope! A series revealing his learning process & his adventures inside Arkham would be pretty damn cool!
Rob this is awesome!!! My favorite version to date.
In the darkest of times, one hero rose to the occasion, not to bring the entertainment we deserve, but the one we need....
This was so freakin dope. Hope you cover the rest of this (or these, I guess)!!
Honestly this was one of the better tales from the dark multiverse and oh my god is that costume just absolute pure badass
@@normandy2501 that story already exists it's called speeding bullet I believe
@@strawboyhawkins3 thanks for pointing that out. I haven't heard of that story before, but it looks really interesting. Adding it to my list!
The whole Hush and Solomon Grundy combination makes it so badass
I'd love to see an alternate Batman where Thomas Wayne was the Owl King (leader of the Court of Owls) and his son Bruce was the Batman trying to revolt against his locked down over sanitized version of Gotham with the 'help' of the league of assassins (i.e. only Martha died, twisting both Wayne men in different directions)
The closing music tells me it’s time for a mustache break.
More please, I love this version, I wish he could have his own mini series
Dude! More of these please👍🏾
That was awesome, great video
In my mind it’s more likely that Jim Gordon was killed early into Gothams history before it became a city state - Gotham prior to Batman reshuffling things was massively corrupt and filled with dirty cops who were all on mob payrolls. It’s likely Gordon was either killed by said dirty cops, or he became Commissioner and refused to play ball with Thomas Eiliot (who at this time probably wielded large influence in the city) and so Thomas has Gordon killed.
Also the “Gray Sons” are just the Talons but since they’re led by Dick he most likely renamed them. The title “Gray Son” refers to the Night Of Owls event a few years ago, in which its implied Dick Grayson is in fact the descendant of one of the Court’s Talons and was being groomed by them, but also by his ancestor who titled him “The Gray Son of Gotham”, implying he wanted him to take over things with the Talons or even the Court.
President Lincoln March is most likely the same guy from Night Of Owls, but obviously we don’t know if it’s Earth 3 Owlman or just a guy named Lincoln March who’s corrupt and in bed with the League Of Asassins.
Gordon was killed because he was close to cracking the Wayne case.
Rob your comic explainations are 100. Blerd without fear is right behind you.👍👌
Need more of this batman.
This should really be turned into an animated movie.
The art in this is really good
We need Tales From The Dark Multiverse: Superman and Flash
This is really a better origin than the regular Batman stories! So much more full and in-depth
This is the best of the Dark Multiverse Batman’s in storytelling and design by far now.
Batman the Silenced vs. Ghostmaker would be an interesting story
I’m glad they came back and did this! I loved these series, hopefully we get sideways back in the main stream comics too
The rhyme got me hooked
Well...at least he's found one that's as close to a hero as he'll ever find in the Dark Multiverse.
i need more this batman. omfg rekindled a love is an understatment.
this character is gold
Bloody hell, this was awesome!
The character designs in this story are awesome!
This is one of my favortie Dark Multiverse stories. So cool to see different paths for the batfamily
Beyond Omega Level: Resurrection Man....we do this for Aaron Wilder

@@AmondoDazz I try haha
Good luck bud!!!
Love the tales line, looking forward to the next one
I wanna say that they're just one shots. Like there'll be others but we won't see this one again; it'll be another Batman from dark Earth 😔
@@ThatStevenLouis im aware they are one shots, thats fine with me. Looking foward to seeing what they do with flashpoint
love your content
I love Tales from the Dark Multiverse, because it’s not just Batman stories. It’s dark spins on all the classic stories. Lazarus contract, death of Superman, blackest night, infinite crisis, hush, flashpoint, knightfall.
This is the best anthology DC series to date an I hope they keep this series running for as long as writers can make up interesting stories. Because these shorts are way too awesome not to be explored!
Now we need Alfred who laughs, Twobat,Bat-guin, Poison Bat-vy
This story is AMAZING
I like this one a lot. The ones that go in a really wild direction are always super fun
I'm honestly digging this Batman-Hush hybrid. He's not evil per say but he's clearly given in to his anger and resentment.
That was a very good story!!!
You know speaking l "Hush", I've always enjoyed your classic explains (Secret Wars I, Spawn). There are so many great classics which might not be relevant to what's going on now that I would enjoy hearing your take on whether it be stories like Hush or even some classic Claremont X-Men.
I think I got just the right amount of high to appreciate this one rightly.
I hope we get one for Emerald Twilight, Zero Hour Crisis in Time, Under the Red Hood and Killing Joke
In the original comic it wasn’t the “Mask” of Zorro, it was “The Mark of Zorro”...
This is a great concept and very fleshed out version of batman, hopefully DC invest more into it
This is one of the coolest versions of Batman. I hope we get to see more of him.
this was really interesting and tons of fun.
This batman is definitely cool and I wouldn't mind seeing more stories with him
This Batman needs a McFarlane DC Multiverse figure. I'm ready to preorder mine right now.
Woo, was hoping you covered this.
This one might be best dark multiverse Batman, probably as close to a hero as you can get
This one is ...GOOOOOOOOOD!
This one has my interest. Good story
We need this to get its own series holy sh*t
This was an amazingly complicated comic for a single issue. Like more so than many of the others, but I guess the addition of Hush helped with this.
I love this.
I really like the idea that this is what Gotham would be like if Bruce had never become Batman. Good incorporation of Dick becoming the Gray Son, and as screwed up as Jason's life is because of Bruce, at least he didn't become a full-on criminal. This Batman strikes me as a really good anti-hero though, and I would love a miniseries featuring him.
I love this Dark Multiverse Batman and wish for more!!!
About damn time Rob
I am DEFINITELY interested in this particular story. I hope this becomes an ongoing series.
I love these tales from the dark multiverse. They're so cool and interesting. Plus batman here has a really cool design :D
Man this is one of the stories from the dark multiverse that actually had potential.
thank you for answering my prayers, Rob-sama
This is an AWESOME one shot. The idea that essentially The Joker was personally involved in training this Batman is also super cool. This was actually a really well thought out What If. My compliments to the writers.
Read this online the minute it came out. Great story and art! *Cannot wait for Flashpoint!*
That was awesome
Soooo, is it possible that they are going to use the characters from these series in the "Last 52" from Death Metal that we are going to get?
And is it possible for them to be even more twisted than the last bunch?
Your the best Rob
Hands down my favorite Dark Multiverse Knight
I have to admit, I love how Jack Napier is pretty much one of this Batman's enablers in this universe. I just love to see how well Batman and Joker would actually work as a team.
that actually a creepy lullaby, damn alfred.
You know, I can honestly dig these little off shoots. It’s a refresher from everything going on and let’s all not lie it is still pretty cool to see how and who Bruce will morph into next. Who knows maybe next issue we will get a Batman that is a mix of Jean Paul Valley and Bruce...or maybe a Batman that is a mix of The Phantasm, or even better we get one that is a mix of Batman and Lobo. They could make literally hundreds of volumes for this off shoot all of which would be interesting in their own rights.
We need more of this batman
He is the true Arkham knight
DC continue this story it's awesome
I swear rob u would be such a great history teacher
