(comment pasted from original video description) Man, Julian Casablancas will really just kind of start a line or phrase whenever. The beat barely matters. If you didn't know the song, you'd think I screwed up the timing. Anyway... The Strokes were a massively important band to me as a teen. Is This It is absolutely one of the top five most played albums of my younger days. This song is notably not from that album. No Strokes album comes close to Is This It. But this album was the first to get me to freak out over this band since First Impressions of Earth.

This song is so hard to sing
Toughest part for me is remembering where he changes his melody
Ikr, Julian's range is so crazy. I can hit the lower parts fine but the highs are so high. If I belt it out it feels like I'm gonna burst my throat. He's like a baritone and a tenor, crazy.
