That You and What Army 2 mod and that karma mod should be (sort of) in Fallout 5. I want there to be settlements, but I want them to do things. Same with special NPCs you find. Basically I want faction affinity that is modified by missions you do for the faction, sometimes decreased for doing certain missions for other factions, and for assigning settlements to the faction. Think of say assigning a settlement to Brotherhood of Steel and now you get new items you can build in the build menu and some of the settlers will dress in Scribe outfits and such and talk about the faction. Settlements should be able to give you missions (mostly based on the location) that unlock other build item or resources and special NPCs will also do this and have a special building you need to make for them. I do not think there should be just the regular vender stations you can build and assign any settler to it. This would allow settlements to be different every playthrough based on location, faction, and NPCs assigned as well as mission for all three and maybe special items or technologies you unlock. Have these settlements give you faction affinity too and you will get some VERY unique playthroughs every time. I also want each settler to represent a family, not just a person, with children, babies, and elderly. Have them want individual homes for the best happiness as well as cooking, heating, electricity... Have the better their life is the happier they are and the more the faction likes it. This would unlock new missions and items for sale with the factions too. Everything will have a purpose now and you will not just step in and do a few missions and become the faction leader. I also want to see some locations like university, hospital, power plant, water treatment plant, factory... and be able to assign those to factions. The big problem was not that every faction had a massive flaw, but that no matter how influential you got in the factions you could not fix that flaw. Think the Railroad mindwiped the synths. That is almost as bad as dying. Who you are no longer exists. The Institute would not stop replacing people with synths and actually help the Commonwealth instead. They could have set up a hospital and school and worked to stabilize the area. The Brotherhood was too aggressive and instead of trying to work with the settlements and locals they just bullied them. They could have gained recruits and tons of people to their cause. The Minutemen is the only one you can fix as they had weak leadership. I do not see a point in that mod to add more Minutemen around the Commonwealth as they already do this as you build settlements do to artillery support and flares to summon help from the Minutemen and after you defeat the Institute with them. They will establish checkpoints all over the place. This is the best ending and it sounds like it is canonical now according to hints in the series. There is something about a Minutemen radio station being picked up and the Pridwin returning... It could not have been the Institute or the Railroad as they would require the destruction of the Pridwin. The Brotherhood likely would still be in the Commonwealth if they had destroyed the Institute and the Minutemen would be less of a deal. So Minutemen destroyed the Institute and kept the BOS and likely Railroad alive.

I've taken this opportunity to play a new game mod-free so I can get my last achievement. I first played 6 years ago, and I still haven't unlocked Benevolent Leader. I gave up on trying to do that one in the beginning, I started using mods not realizing that they disabled achievements and didn't care enough to go back and try, but now that I have a reason to play without mods, I'm going to take it. Although I will eventually download the Minuteman one and maybe the Cooper Howard billboards, too.
I'll probably just wait for a year just like what I did back in Skyrim's Anniversary Edition. By that time, almost all of the mods I used or even better alternatives were released.
All of my mods + new ones I downloaded after I updated my game work. America Rising 2 still works after it as well. So I don't entirely understand the issue.
got to love the "next gen update" broke so much that even moders cant fix things, that has to be a new record for bugthesda, well unless that was intended as a way to get more moders back inflaiting the games "enagment" which given they intentionaly brake mods with "patchies" that dont do anything but brake mods I wouldnt be shocked if its intended
And that's where GOG shines. You can simply choose to stay at a specific version. No need to get a master's in software engineering to tweak Steam *.ini, *.config files or use external apps and/or mods to achieve something a I consider an inherent right of every software user - the ability to not update. Yes, I'm looking at you as well Microsoft, you filthy SoBs.
can you please go into further detail on how to play with the new added content while using the old version of fallout? a video would be best for everyone including you and mostly me because im a bit of a noob at pc stuff unless someone tells me EXACTLY what to do : ) thanks anyways!
Well unless the mods you want use F4SE you should be able to download any and get playing. I run over 270 mods and all but about 5 are working. Of course those 5 are ones I won't play without so I'm essentially boned. But you can play now depending on the mods.
Not surprised tbh. After I purposefully downgrade and stuck my Skyrim SE to 1.5.97 version for mods compatibility, I know it would be a matter of time that Fallout 4 will get the same treatment.
Eh, I upgraded to next gen on PC and built a fun modlist that doesn't use any F4se stuff. I haven't really missed needing f4se except for maybe place everywhere.
This is why you should ALWAYS set steam to only update Bethesda games "on launch." If Bethesda manages to somehow drop a patch without breaking all your mods, you can always manually update it whenever you want to. Personally I was able to just use the third mod by itself (because I never took the update in the first place) and go right back to playing within a minute.
Ella portrayed the Bright Eyed Idealisric Optimist Vault Dweller perfectly. Down to the detail of bringing a non-lethal weapon with her to the wasteland. 😂
Thanks for the video! I had already blocked the update of Fallout 4. Thanks to you I have the latest content on the older version and used the patch so steam thinks I'm on the latest version
For those who are new to modding ALWAYS turn off Steam automatic updates and background downloads for any Fallout/Skyrim game youll be using. Bethesda loves to release random updates that breaks the game. And then just use MO or Vortex to launch the game using F4SE/FNSE for example It'll save you a lot of heartache and pain in the long run trust me. Been there done that.
You do know Fallout 4 Script Extender recently got updated to support the Next-Gen patch (0.7.1) and that downgrading your Fallout 4 install means breaking support for any new mods that are F4SE Next-Gen compatible (such as High FPS Physics Fix and Weapon Debris Crash Fix, both of which also got a Next-Gen update)?
the karma system is neat, but it comes with a similar problem starfield has where the base isnt really suited for it. For the most part fo4 forces you to be the good guy, so even with bad karma good luck with the goofy rp
NGL, I've just finished rebuilding my entire fallout after that fucking patch, and I still can't get things working as well as I had before. the thought of spending hours getting it back to my original state with downgrading gives me chest pain...
ok I'm really confused, I have version 1.10.980, I've noticed "some" mods don't work. Is there a version I should be playing in order for "all" of the mods to work?
I only wish Bethesda hadn’t done the stupid thing by making all the weapons left-handed and making Cooper Howard’s revolver, a break-action loading system.
Oddly I set Steam to never auto update and have had the update delayed until I click on the update button all the while I have been launching the game from Vortex. Game launches perfectly fine and I can even download and install more mods without any issues so far. Glad there is downgraders out there but I seem to have BSd my way around the update so far.
I feel bad for all you guys who mistakenly updated, but at the same time we saw this coming for months, we knew the update was coming, and we had this exact situation happen in skyrim ae. Hope you've all learned your lesson.
If you use steam and have good storage space like a big cheap SATA drive, you should just backup your entire Fallout 4, Skyrim, Starfield folders. Steam does not care if you delete everything in your Fallout 4 folder and replace it with a backup copy.
only mod I want to work is the fast travel on survival mode. I hardly fast travel as it is but when im way south and need to go way north again that fast travel would be awesome.
One question: Does this remove the Next-Gen contents? Like the performance upgrade in some areas and some bug fixes? Because as a low spec gamer i need to squeeze out every bit of performance and this next gen update helps alot in giving me more performance. I don't want to lose that when downgrading.
I love how all these people complained and cried about an update and upgraded version of Fallout 4 and now that they're mods don't work they don't want it 😂😆, I'm sitting here cheering for a Fallout 3 upgraded remastered version. From Bethesda a legit version.
I get very long loading screens when entering or leaving buildings. alt tab seems to speed it up. had graphical glitches where a slightly smaller image box would appear when viewing talking segments with npcs. the image would return to normal once the conversation is over. I think they need to patch the patch.
It'll be a few months before I play anything new with Fallout 4. Script Extender is still being worked on. Even then, mods using script extender will also have to be updated too. Much like what happened with Skyrim Anniversary Edition. So I'll be eventually seeing a list of mods that work with the latest version and those that do not.
There are people out there playing without thousands of mods? I thought I was in trouble when F4SE came back and I couldn't access the Mod Configuration Menu, Photo mode and Screen Archer, but it sounds like some people might never upgrade after this.
Spoilers for series: Personally I’m not big on the Cooper Howard billboard mods because the show already addresses why they’re not a thing for people with a good memory (or just rewatches) attention to detail. The opening scene of the show is obviously set after the final flashback scenes, unclear the length but clearly a lot happened. The dads note that Cooper is a has been and is working birthday parties. Their reason for how he got stuck doing birthday parties is “alimony”. He is divorced from Barb. You’ll also note them calling him a “Pinko”, before the other dad says “still took my money”. Pinko is a red scare pejorative for communist sympathizers. On first watches Cooper’s declining to do the thumbs up given the state of things looks like he finds it in poor taste because of the looming nuclear threats. But with all the context it seems more like he refers to drama with the company, or at the very least contempt because of his knowledge of their plan. With this we can infer that between the final flashback and the opening of the show, his spying came to light and he was divorced and disgraced for a decent amount of time. This, in my opinion, makes Cooper Howard’s image never appearing in the games make sense within the lore. I know that’s a lot to say about a Cooper Howard billboard mod but I never see any of the breakdowns mention all this, so I want to talk about it as much as possible because I think it’s interesting. Hopefully season 2 will feature more flashbacks to clear the “fallout” of his learning about their plan by spying for the communist actors guild, though I wish this season had them. Though I agree with their decision that such a major scene was the finale’s last flashback. It’s inconsequential.
So with these mods that are able to downgrade Fallout to the previous version, the Fallout London modders should release their game. We will still be able to play it.
Me: I think the Ghoul is the most compelling character (in the TV show) My dad: I like Lucy the most 😈 My mom: what about the other characters? You’re so superficial My dad: there are other characters?

Did the upgrade affect the in-game mods as well? So like Settlements 2 mods and such? (I'm new and only used some basic mods from the in game menu)
SS2 is already updated, but basically 50 percent of mods are going to break every single update.
I'm on Xbox S and didn't even have a choice to download the next gen update. It did it for me on it's own as soon as I logged into the game. Some of my mods from before were no longer supported. I found new mods that were supported and everything was ok. Then randomly 2 days ago, I get a message that says Operation could not be completed every time I try to access the mods menu.
Same mods I have installed after update are fine on steamdeck but a few days ago can't access the mod menu. Odd problem
You can go into the Xbox settings are stop automatic updates, but it stops updates for everything. When you try to play a game that has an update, the Xbox will automatically stop the game and prompt you to download. If you want to play but don't want to update, you have to go offline.
Been using the MTs-255 Revolver Shotgun for a while now, with the improved animations it turns into a rather fun, strong and lore friendly weapon in the game, there's a guy I think working on a Ghoul mod already.
With what search did you find the mod?
@@alejosuarconde1145 Just type "mts" in the search bar, the first two entries by modders "ExpoAlt" and "Austindudeman" should be the ones you're looking for

I hope he'll talk about the Fallout Heart's of Iron 4 mod eventually
Also random fun fact the MTS-255 was actually originally created by cod ghost which it was a revolving shotgun
Just restarted a modded playthrough, Having fun looking forward to Boston again.
My favorite mod to run with You And What Army was Liberty Reborn since it made the Minutemen look like a proper military force
Im not gonna use the downgrader mods. im just gonna wait until things get fixed/ready to play on the next gen update
I've currently got 68 mods active with F4SE and I've had literally 0 issues so far. Other than F4SE all other mods seem alright so far
I love how you just hop straight into mods its amazing
When I first fired the buzzsaw at a Supermutant he and I were equally surprised when a large red exclamation sign hit his arm.
lol
I use GOG, Has a backtrack feature so If somehow the game gets upgraded you can just select back and it all good again. Steam sucks.
I found you!! We are the only two people with this experience apparently 😂 We are Todd Howard clones. I don’t understand it either. It just works.
Maybe you don't use f4se?
@@Deadpoolhead888 it's simple really... you didn't use any mods the require f4se.......
@@hahahehe-o3i That’s fair. Can you explain my weapons not breaking on me like everyone else? I’m on PC. Are the new weapons only broken on console?
@@Deadpoolhead888 weapon mod doesn't require f4se.... same goes with armor and retexture mods. it should be fine.
Gonna try the overhaul with the Militarized Minutemen mod so they'll look like a proper army like the east coast version of the NCR
8:40 gotta love the Jonny Silverhand special lol
got to love the "next gen update" broke so much that even moders cant fix things, that has to be a new record for bugthesda, well unless that was intended as a way to get more moders back inflaiting the games "enagment" which given they intentionaly brake mods with "patchies" that dont do anything but brake mods I wouldnt be shocked if its intended
Haven't played since 2018 but reinstalled, downgraded and got everything back the way it was and will be adding some of these new mods :)
It would be nice to see a horror based DLC mod based of movies like Alien and more!
can you please go into further detail on how to play with the new added content while using the old version of fallout? a video would be best for everyone including you and mostly me because im a bit of a noob at pc stuff unless someone tells me EXACTLY what to do : ) thanks anyways!
Well unless the mods you want use F4SE you should be able to download any and get playing. I run over 270 mods and all but about 5 are working.
Of course those 5 are ones I won't play without so I'm essentially boned. But you can play now depending on the mods.
@@hammerofscience534 thats my current situation, im downloading an older version manually rn, i want ALL my mods xD
It's sad that the Midnight Ride mod guide won't be set up for the GOG and downgraded fallout 4 versions anymore.
Daks attachment pack is the best you can get with weapons in a lore friendly way
This is why you should ALWAYS set steam to only update Bethesda games "on launch." If Bethesda manages to somehow drop a patch without breaking all your mods, you can always manually update it whenever you want to.
These mods have me excited to do another run of Fallout 4 especially the Hot diggity one!
I can’t even load my mod list from the main menu page, crash to Home Screen every time.💀
Same here. And apparently nobody else is having this issue because I haven’t seen one person mention it or how to fix it. Fucking annoying
Would love to see a "The best fallout tv show mods" from you JuiceHead !!!!
Your character holds the MTS 255 like he's driving a shopping cart.
the karma system is neat, but it comes with a similar problem starfield has where the base isnt really suited for it. For the most part fo4 forces you to be the good guy, so even with bad karma good luck with the goofy rp
A question... is there already a mod with Cooper Howard's weapon with its particular sound? I just love the sound of that gun
Be exceptional is better and more balanced than hot diggity. Change my mind.
There’s some performance mods you can get it on the old version
God bless the modding community. And thank you @JuiceHead3 for all your Fallout content. It's much appreciated.
What ENB were you using for the video if any?
Vogue ENB
I love how all these people complained and cried about an update and upgraded version of Fallout 4 and now that they're mods don't work they don't want it 😂😆, I'm sitting here cheering for a Fallout 3 upgraded remastered version. From Bethesda a legit version.
I just want to play Fallout London man
And now Nexus is broke. lol
I get very long loading screens when entering or leaving buildings. alt tab seems to speed it up. had graphical glitches where a slightly smaller image box would appear when viewing talking segments with npcs. the image would return to normal once the conversation is over. I think they need to patch the patch.
My game works with the current version and all my mods weirdly enough. I'm still playing through it to check what doesnt work tho so idk.
When will the Script Extender be updated? Any theories or estimates?
Ok, but what’s the preset for Lucy in the thumbnail?
It'll be a few months before I play anything new with Fallout 4. Script Extender is still being worked on. Even then, mods using script extender will also have to be updated too. Much like what happened with Skyrim Anniversary Edition. So I'll be eventually seeing a list of mods that work with the latest version and those that do not.
The best part about mods that batman can enter an optimus prime power armor and punch a guy to space💀
This new update will be a small patch so it most likely won’t break anything it’s only when they try to mess with the core files that it breaks mods
Meanwhile me who spent 2 hours figuring out how to manually downgrade it before a mod did it
So with these mods that are able to downgrade Fallout to the previous version, the Fallout London modders should release their game. We will still be able to play it.
Once I find a fix for my save and quick save being greyed out, I’ll play this game again.
Me: I think the Ghoul is the most compelling character (in the TV show)
My dad: I like Lucy the most 😈
My mom: what about the other characters? You’re so superficial
My dad: there are other characters?
8:52 What about the abraxo syringe? That looked like it’d definitely hurt 😬
it’s crazy how bad the next gen update was i have a 3060 and my shits at 20-30fps in the city’s but before all this i was running a steady 60 on ultra quality
MTs-255 - Revolver Shotgun ̶E̶m̶p̶o̶w̶e̶r̶e̶d̶ Nerfpowered - this mod just removes the REAl empower function from the gun... good job recommendig the shjt
i know this is wishful thinking but i really hope whenever fallout 5 is made they make it mod friendly. or at the very least make an incredibly designed game (mainly the UI for me) that players wouldnt NEED mods to fix the game.
