@@mariusr.6179 It's true that she got really ill a few days _after_ this concert, but I think it's obvious that she wasn't 100% during the Buenos Aires concert (yet still did such a good job that it's one of my favourite NW concerts). I don't think that it's unreasonable to make a connection between that and the fact that she'd soon get very ill, but technically you're correct - she wasn't recovering at this time.
i'm getting that blazing pendulum tattooed on the back of my hand. floor ordered her outfit from a designer in The Netherlands. the lady didn't have time to make her something custom, so she bought the outfit already made, and it was fitted for Floor. this was a great live album because that Buenos Aires crowd was going nuts from beginning to end.
What gets me is that they don't need all the pyrotechnics, fireworks and huge screen. They will play in places that are small, with no room or facilities for all the flame throwers and movie screens. t's just THEM and the music. And it's great! They go out and tear the house down with just some strobes and colored lights. It's not a bad thing to compose for fireworks and volcanic eruptions....but they don't need it. This was a fun head banger tune, and would have been fine with just Floor and Marko as the special FXs. But the South American audiences are KNOWN for being a super partying crowd, and would be expecting a lot of bang for their buck.
I want to recommend Shudder Before The Beautiful. Heavy song but on a positive tone. It was their showopener* thus it has all the Nightwish signatures for what you can expect in the rest of the show: good vocal pieces, keys, guitar solo and so on to introduce all band members properly. Works as hidden soundcheck with full crowd for the music technician. * Wembly Arena show
There's a reason she has been dubbed the Valkyrie! All her outfits are 🔥 this song has been a fav of mine for years even back in the Tarja days but Floor just completely owns it and the dynamic between her and Marko is just 👌
The Decades concerts are so underrated in my opinion - I saw them 3 times, and they were completely awesome - and all 3 were different. Floor was only 90% in this Buenos Aires 2018 concert while she was sick, and especially on Ghost Love Score, she was worn out - but she was so pro that she changed it into a more motionel version, which are/were incredible. But!!!! Please do Dead Boy's Poem from Buenos Aires 2018 - that's by many considered to be equal to Ghost Love Score. Notice Floor's crowd control - completelt insane. Or - I want my tears back, from Buenos Aires 2018 - Floor goes bananas dancing along with the crowd - Empphu chickens out🤣 - this is how to make an unforgettable concert. Ohh - you have so much positive coming your way. On this Decades tour, there are a so much like this one 🤘 🤘

I think one thing that separates Floor from so many other brilliant singers is her ability to put all those emotions in every word she sings. She's emoting every tone!

You can thank "Royal Black Couture and Corsetry" for the design of Floor's outfit. Not a custom original like she usually has made, due to time constraints I believe, but pretty damned spectacular indeed.
For me this is one of the songs you only can enjoy in the original version with Tarja. Floor did an amazing job, but her voice is not far as operatic as it needs to be for this song. Do not get me wrong, I really love all three era's of Nightwish. But some songs are really meant to be for one special singer. (Same with Slow, Love slow).

@@TheWolfHunterZ I think the fans or yours and Nightwish will be supportive hearing a favourite song in a new and different style, but I totally get that the songs are in such different styles to start with that it would be tricky to even try to translate them. That being said, listen to End of All Hope. That one, since its chorus is done entirely with a split of male/female vocals to better reflect your style, wouldn't be to far from your band's sound already. Very shouty, with tons of space in the chorus for your group's growls. Plus the lyrics are mostly spoken/sung, instead of the Nightwish Operatic sound that we all know and love. It's also very short for a Nightwish song, which makes it nice to experiment with. Also also it has a very light orchestral production compared to most Nightwish songs, and you can find many musicians amongst the community who would be happy to donate some brass stubs to use in layers. I think it would be a forgiving and epic song to hear you all perform! Planet Hell would be another suggestion, similar idea to End of All Hope in that from the start it's not top far off from ya'll already, but it's definitely an increase in difficulty. Off the Dark Passion Play album. A must listen to, to understand the feelings at the time

Okay, gotta start this one with a disclaimer: I'm not a guitarist, so I might have some of this a little bit wrong. You've commented about Emppu's purple guitar a few times now - if you check out some of the older videos (especially Tarja-time stuff) you'll see him with a white guitar in most if not all of them. If I'm remembering this correctly, the guitars are identical but for color and how they're tuned. The white one was/is standard tuning, while the purple is tuned to D (whatever that means, like I said, I'm not a guitarist). I guess at one point he'd have them both at shows and switch out depending on what song was playing, but I don't know if he still does or if maybe he's got two purple guitars these days.
It is also called "dropped D", which means biggest string is tuned lower, and is more loose, which allows "deeper growl". This also means you have to place your fingers in different positions, because for example when playing lowest(top strings) 2 strings at the same time harmony is not in same place it was before, because top string is tuned lower.
@@markoviitanen2671 You are correct what you are saying except you can put bigger string for example .052 for the dropped string so it doesn't become loose at all in drop-D. But anyways Emppu plays in standard-D and never has played in drop-D. He played Standard-E until Century child album and switched to D-tuning then.

This concert is pretty good and yes her suit is pretty nice. This happens to be a very good song on "end of an era" 2005 which would give you the chance to see Tarja the first singer. IMHO it seems to be a heavier version. Don't get me wrong I love this DVD and need Floorgasms on a daily basis but there are a few songs from wishes to eternity and End if an Era that you should listen to. Nice reaction

I've got the DVD and you can tell she wasn't 100% at the start but she got better as she sang. By the end, she seemed to me to be back to 100%.
This is performance is on fire. And Floor's outfit there was so hot (maybe even too hot😵).
