Hello Jyn & Ryl!😊 You are right, Jyn. That actor played Frodo's uncle, Bilbo Baggins. This was a very well made end of the world film. Here are three more good ones: "2012" (2009), "Armageddon" (1998), and "This is the End" (2013). "This is the End" is a unique comedy/horror where celebrities play themselves in this end of the world film. It is very funny!😄 Great reactions to this very impressive visual end of days film, Ladies!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏

  • @kbrewski1
    @kbrewski1 5 месяцев назад +1

I think you 2 would enjoy some REAL LIFE disaster/tragedy type films. Those are even more intense when you know they really happened.
    1. EVEREST> the true story of the 1996 climbers who were caught in a major blizzard while at/near the top of Mt Everest in Nepal. (29,000+ feet, the cruising altitude of a 747 airplane). Its fascinating because you not only have to be physically fit enough to climb the world's tallest mountain, but you have to battle the conditions, the unexpected etc.
    2. INTO THIN AIR:DEATH ON EVEREST> Also based on the 1996 Everest climbs, this was an earlier made for TV movie but still a very good movie based on the book of that name written by one of the actual surviving climbers. So its a first hand account.
    3. APOLLO 13>I'm going to assume you have reacted to this great movie about the astronauts who have to abort landing on the Moon and come back in a damaged space craft. But just in case.
    4. UNITED 93> about the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania on 9/11. It is gripping.
    5. SCHINDLERS LIST>True story about a group of Jews in a concentration camp in Nazi Germany in WWII. All true, very intense.

Can you react to 2012 (2009) it's another disaster film more terrifying than this movie, bc it shows a lot of earthquakes and tsunamis. Can you also react to Mel Gibson's directorial film, The Passion of the Christ (2004), starring Jim Caviezel as Jesus. You are both pretty btw🤩❤

In 1979 there was a film about a future apocalyptic Ice Age called "Quintet". It starred the famous Hollywood actor, Paul Newman. In 2013 there was another future ice age film called "Snowpiercer". It starred Chris Evans and Ed Harris. It was later made into a 3 season TV series starring Jennifer Connelly and Sean Bean. It was about a global traveling perpetual motion locomotive train containing the last human survivors of a new Ice Age. An Ice age that was accidentally caused by humans trying to fix the climate. Both the movie and TV series were very good!

25:52 As a Nova Scotian, this news is more concerning. 🤔🥶💀
28:47 Well, how do you like that 'Murica? 🤨 And I love that the Ladies find the ironic humour here.😂
33:00 For Fiona Gallagher? I'd fight Indra, Thor, Zeus, Susanoo, Suetekh, Tempestas, Raijin, and Marduk all single-handed. 😍
40:38 "We're still wrong." Yup, and I'm pretty sure that it's wayyy too late to do anything about it. I'm fairly old, and apparently geographically well-placed for this era, so I'm pretty sure I'll dodge significant calamity in my lifetime. But people have been suffering serious effects of Climate Change for years now, and my heart goes out to them, and all the younger generations that will have to deal with its inevitable consequences.

In 1994 Pink Floyd released what could be interpreted as a Climate change song, or more accurately, a Climate warning song called "Take It Back". One interpretation is that its about mother nature taking back control of the earth from pollution causing humans. Part of it goes:
"Now I have seen the warnings, screaming from all sides.
"Its easy to ignore them, God knows I've tried
"All of this temptation, you know it turns my faith to lies
"Until I couldn't see the danger, or hear the rising tide

Dennis Quaid, the lead in this, is actually speaking out about his concerns with the power grid's vulnerability. He made a film recently called "Grid Down, Power Up".. I mean solar events are a huge concern. But yeah these end of times films were kinda fun. Disaster films of the 90's, end of time films of the 2000's. This one is nowhere near as good as a lot of other disaster films, but it raises a good point. Deep Impact and the 1970's The Poseidon Adventure are probably the best.
It's pretty crazy and sad how storms and for example the covid pandemic caused smog-filled cities to finally have blue skies. I recall India could finally see their blue sky again. Global cooling is far more deadly than warming.

Just like I think Yellowstone is tied in with the ring of fire. Minor earthquakes create small pressure in the molten core. But a major quake all the crust shifting greater distance should generate greater pressure at spots in the earth core. And this is what I think will be the trigger for yellow stone.

Why I am not worried yet. Earth is not outside of its temperature swings science has documented. We are near a peak in temperature swings but often wonder if parts of this movie is true. If the ocean currents reverse would it send us into a ice age? Only other things I can think of is one of the big volcanoes erupted like Yellowstone or meteorites or comet hit the planet blocking out the sun enough to cool it.

I mean it's a fun watch but problematic. (But yes, hail can get that big, extremely rarely but it happens.)
Planes do not fly into thunderstorms. It's against policy because it's dangerous and stupid.
Air temperature can fall fast - seas do not change temperature fast (water requires a ton of energy [gained or lost] to change, it's a science thing).
Knowing facts isn't being smart - it's just memory.
The doctor would not have stayed behind to die with the child, because how many others could she save in future (it's stupid). Plus there was a slight chance of survival if they moved the child (as opposed to guaranteed death) so they would have moved them.
Also, the father had zero reason to go to New York he couldn't *do* anything when he got there - either his kid would already be dead, or if he survived then he didn't need help. He achieved nothing except killing his friends (stupid).
There is so much stupid in this film.
The only stupid they got depressingly accurate was the behaviour of politicians and businessmen.
I don't go out of my way to watch this movie any more.

One scary aspect of this film re-watching it now, is that scene where the scientist expresses surprise at the timing of climate system change. They expected it to happen later in the future.
What's really scary about that scene is that it's almost prophetic about what's happening right now in our world. Climate scientists have been saying that the last year of continuous record-breaking high temperatures represents an unprecedented and unexpected acceleration in global warming. They're saying they expected the current level of warming to happen later in the future.
We're actually living through a less exaggerated, hot version of The Day After Tomorrow. 😨

Climate change is real, but not man made. The planets climate has always changed. Humans can only adapt.
The real problem is the poles shifting. This is an actual occurrence that we can track, unlike climate change.
The poles shifting is more than likely the cause of climate change. The fear is that they will shift suddenly and drastically overnight. This would cause tremendous catastrophes because people really wouldn't have a chance to adapt.

      @@2tone753 Some facts.
For majority of Earth's 550M+ years life giving history Co2 has been higher than now. It was 20 times higher in the Cambrian period for tens of millions of years yet no runaway warming?
We have had ice ages and glaciation with Co2 triple what is now.
Arctic sea ice, which we were told would be gone by 2010 is currently higher than the 10 year average.
There is no historical correlation between Co2 levels and the dramatic runaway warming they constantly predict, but there is some correlation between solar activity, the Milankovitch cycles, and climate warming and cooling.
Earth's carbon cycle has finite amounts of carbon, only the distribution changes and this swings naturally via geological processes and Earth cycles.
Carbon is essential to all life on Earth and life thrives with more Co2, not less.
The Earth has been green and thriving with life from pole to pole with Co2 levels much higher than now.
We are in an inter-glacial period where the climate naturally warms ice naturally melts and retreats.
Warming is not a threat to civilisation, however cooling would be an enormous threat and we are due (in geological timeframes) another ice age, perhaps we should worry more about that than warming that is so indiscernible we have to propagandised 24/7 to believe it is happening at all.
All weather records and data have been back engineered to fit the warming narrative just as current data is filtered in the same way with new data gathering methods that exaggerate warming and new weather stations located in hot spots, such as close to runways where the UK new "record" high temp was recorded and headlined.
Investigation found the station was located next to a runway where fighter jets had landed and was recorded for just 1 minute before falling away.
The Met office state they use new techniques for data gathering and when all time records are announced these are often less than 50 year records.
As for the computer models that have exaggerated warming, and been proved massively wrong 100% of the time, which are used to generate the fear propaganda headlines the Met Office stated this.
"We have bold plans to re-engineer the computer codes and technology infrastructure"
      I bet they do.
As for conspiracy theories on oil companies being the ones who are pushing disinformation on AGW one assumes the oil companies are losing out with the Net Zero agenda, yet they are making record profits and over 80% of all renewables and green technology is funded by oil companies!
      How about windfarms?
They are expensive ineffective, a blight on the landscape and very nature unfriendly, killing millions of birds.
But much worse they are not climate friendly as they use SF6 (sulphur hexafluoride) used for conductivity which leaks into the atmosphere.
SF6 is over 20,000 (TWENTY THOUSAND) times more powerful greenhouse gas than Co2!
Indeed it is so toxic that in a new windfarm project (SeaGreen 2023) there was a leak that needed all the engineers to be evacuated.
That leak alone emitted more greenhouse gas than a years worth of manmade carbon emissions yet it was barely mentioned in MSM?
Another headline was that Scottish authorities (SNP) cut down over 6 million trees in order to make way for a windfarm!
      How environmentally friendly!
China emits more Co2 than the whole of Europe and US combined yet was left exempt from economy crushing green legislation and carbon taxes the west was put under.
This meant western industry could not compete due to China's much lower cost of energy causing the Chinese economy to boom and Western economies to contract.
China built thousands of new dirty coal burning plants to support this economy while the West shutdown expensive clean burning coal plants and nuclear stations. (to save the planet)
      And guess what.
The same global elite who fund the UN think tanks who come up with these global diktats invested in China and moved their industry there when it was left exempt making trillions.
      Nothing to see here huh?
And when the head of the UN makes statements like "The earth is on fire" and "The era of Global Warming is over, we are now in the era of Global boiling," we can be sure he is being scientific and not just a bought and paid for puppet of the elite peddling their agenda I'm sure.
And even if we believed such nonsense then what was the point of all the sacrifice and slashing Co2 emissions across the West ,massively increasing poverty, hardship and deaths in the process?
Just like the pandemic, "the science" was only there to push an agenda and the "experts" bought and paid for propagandists.
Follow the actual science, understand the mainstream media is corporate propaganda run by for special interest agendas and think for yourself.
Once you start to question and look into it you will be amazed how you ever believed such fantasies.
Beyond all that, of course we should look after out Earth and reduce pollution at every opportunity but it needs to be done pragmatically and not based on hysteria and the propaganda of the elite.

@@Muckylittleme Co2 is unhealthy for those creatures who are breaving oxygen. -You are talking about the Cambrian periode having 20 times more CO2 in the athmosphere? Well how many human beeings lived back then? How many fish, mammals, birds? Of course there are creature who can live with that. Plants mostly because they are living of Co2. That dosn't mean those were any good conditions for modern living creatures that have more then a single cell. -About the warmth not killing civilisations: Droughts and lack of water are already a seriouse problem in the South. Even in Italy. And a rise in the sea level will eventually drown out some Islands. -Tell me one incidend were cutting Co2 emissions let to the death of someone? The truth is that air pollution is killing several thousand people a year. So dose heat and droughs.
Shitty companys profiting of a crisis are not a proov that a crisis is not real. Dose war become somehow unreal because some people are earning profit by making weapons? Dose it become unreal if the same company sells weapons to both partys? If a company cuts down rainforest while donating money to an environemtalist project dose the destruction of the rainforest suddenly become unreal because of it? Dose it become less existantial to the natives because of this contradiction? And just because another country dosn't care muchabout environment dosn't mean everyone else who cares is in the wrong and should follow the bad example. What kind of thinking is that? It's like "I don't clean my room because my neighbours house is much more dirty."

    • @Muckylittleme
      @Muckylittleme 5 месяцев назад

@@sawanna508 Co2 isn't unhealthy, our bodies manufacture it as a natural biproduct as part of the life cycle between flora and fauna.
The Cambrian period is know to have seen a prodigious explosion of diversity of animal life in Earth's history .
But the point is not as much about Earth being more fertile with more Co2 but that there was no catastrophic runaway warming despite this condition existing for many millions of years, yet we told to believe that with Co2 less than 5% that level it WILL create runaway warming.
Did the laws of physics change?
Droughts, floods and natural weather disasters have always occurred and will always occur.
We were told that there would be more hurricanes and super hurricanes (cat 6) more than a decade ago yet it hasn't occurred.
As for more recently headlined bush and forest fires, they were caused by green activists stopping them cutting trees and clearing brush to act as fire breaks and their were dozens of arrest for arson with some major headlined fires being deliberately set to push the eco fascist agenda.
      Sea level rises.
They said major cities like London would be flooded over a decade ago.
There has been little sea rise because there has been little ice melt.
For the sort of dramatic sea rises the alarmists predict you would need to melt all the snow in Greenland.
It is another alarmist claim that is regurgitated every decade, just like doom-mongers of old, "The end is nigh".
Cutting Co2 emissions and massively escalating the price energy by undermining national energy security has created much more poverty and higher poverty and higher mortality have direct correlation.
      Air pollution isn't Co2, Co2 is life.
Air pollution is things like Carbon monoxide and all manner of other chemicals spewed out not just by industry, including that which manufactured wind turbines, but by windfarms as mentioned earlier with SF6.
Of course we should always look tor educe pollution for our own and the environments benefit but it needs to make sense in the big picture.
You could live a net zero, totally green life tomorrow but you won't because living in civilisation is much better than the dark ages,
War doesn't become unreal because people are profiting making weapons, war HAPPENS BECAUSE people make profit selling weapons..
Now apply your revised analogy to the Anthropogenic Global Warming narrative.
The fact is at a time where we know there is centralisation of wealth and power and push for technocratic global governance there has suddenly been a series of "Global crises" that have "required" global technocratic oversight to save us from doom.
Hegelianism expressed as a false dichotomy to invoke problem reaction solution tyranny.
