A VPN protects your privacy online, secures your Internet connection and restores your freedom. Without a VPN for Streaming, your ISP can and will see all of your internet activity and traffic. This can cause the internet provider to throttle your internet connection and that will impact the performance of your streaming APPS. You can set up a VPN on most of the streaming Devices you currently use including Android, iOS, OSX, Windows and even directly to your wireless router. You can use the VPN router setup to cover your home so you don't have to worry about using Streaming APPS on Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV👍

All said and done when it comes to tv boxes the one thing that makes them start buffering 2 -3 months down the line is due to over heating... tv boxes will usually be on for atleast 10hrs a day (converting HD streams live streams etc). And this makes the processor produce a lot of heat .
This heat is supposed to be disapetated by the heat sink system, an aluminium plate on top of the processor . In between the heat sink and the processor lays the thermal glue ( a gum like paste that acts as the contact between the two)
in chiness boxes this paste is made from a cheap material and burns out very fast( becomes hard) and doesn't remove the heat fast enuf from the processor.
When the processor heat builds up it start throttling or reducing it performance to reduce the heat inorder to avoid damage by high temperatures. the reduction in performance cause the buffering.
Now ppl get it wrong by looking at the temperature of the processor by apps or torching.
What you don,t know is the processor has reduced its performance to much that temperature so although it is not hot the processor is operating at a fraction of its capacity
Word of advice check/ renew the thermal paste /glue once a month to aid in temperature reduction

You can buy the coolest equipment doesn't matter... If your using a Docsis modem the upstream and down stream has to be within spec. Spectrum uses the Docsis 3.0 & 3.1 piss poor return signal is usually the culprit. Spec is -7 to +7
-10 to +10 will work anything above that can be trouble.
Also, if you have a two-way splitter before the modem that's 3.5 DB loss from what's coming from the wall plate. If they made adjustments they're not gonna knock on your door and tell you. They'll wait for you to piss & moan then send a tech.
Try removing the splitter and run a direct coax from the wall plate to the modem. See if it improves. If it does? Call you provided tell them what you did. A Tech can make adjustments then re-apply the two-way splitter.

Make sure you are using your 5G network not the 2.4hz network. Scan your internet connection by holding down the option key and clicking the wifi symbol on the top left corner. Scan your network to see how many nearby wifi routers are on your channel. Switch your channel to the one less used it will be more robust.

When I had my Gateway replaced 3 months ago, Xfinity/Comcast decided to take away my access to the router's dashboard controls!
I used to manually choose my Channel and Bandwidth and this helped me a great deal in reducing network disconnections, etc! This was especially important as I live in a large apartment complex with competing traffic.
I used the "WiFi Analyzer" app on my Android phone to determine which channels were LEAST congested ... and it was a godsend!!
They refuse to give me back access (say it's a company-wide policy now) and too many people 'don't know what they're doing.'
Now my service has gone to sh*t!! As their 'auto' system doesn't know what it's doing! I'm almost always left on the same 5 Ghz channel (44) ... which is where my Xfinity-using neighbors (ISP monopoly) are also being dumped!
I imagine the alternative on their 'intelligent' auto-handling system, would be whip-sawing us from channel to channel in an attempt to avoid congestion with our neighbors (which could produce its own issues), but I see no evidence of this!
So, I guess we all get to be packed-in to Channel 44 forever! I hate Xfinity!!!

By the way can I just ask, it seems so hard in the UK to get a decent ISP that actually provides a good solid service, someone mentioned to me a few weeks ago how the UK broadband service is quite poor and outdated probably cause they continue to use land lines as opposed to more solid connections (Virgin Media seem to be the only one who are ahead but they're a terrible service) so I was wondering what things you can buy to get the best of things like this and get more solid, reliable and fast connections? A lot of ISP's won't give technical support when you're not using their router too which is a pain so it's a whole catch 22, it seems no matter who you go with you don't really get a great service so would be cool for you to do a video on that at some point (I've subscribed by the way and given you a thumbs up) 😊 PS My Firestick I have the Amazon adaptor so it's wired which helps a lot of people but I'm thinking more in regards to getting the best internet connection on a whole 😊

Extremely informative for beginner users! I try to tell everyone it's mostly dependent on the servers. If anyone is looking for an APK that can help you identify which links are best, I definitely recommend 'BeeTV' as it shows under every link the quality, and the speed of the link.
Though, I mighjt say that the title is a bit click-baity. I'm halfway expecting novices to come across this video and be angry that there isn't some one-click solution to all buffering problems.
    Big fan of the channel!

Apart from going into developer-settings to shut down useless apps..or..deleting apps altogether..The only thing that can "Deliberately" cause footage to buffer is your I.P. deliberately dropping your network due to being angry at what you're streaming. I watch my network-symbol dropping many a night..and/or cutting off altogether and have to turn WiFi on/off on it to get it up again....This usually resolves the issue, albeit usually my band-speed slows down even more..so for example, an hour episode of something can become nearly 2 hours, due to battling with my connection....This also usually results in my device being hotter than usual due to it being forced to work harder....6:46 I watched that movie the other night..it was really good:)....

What if : everything is fine, there is no one else on your connection, you are the only device. the server is across the street and connected by fiber, and its still buffering occasionally. now what? and why does my browser only buffer so much. for example, if I pause, it only buffers so far, about a half inch on the bar. it doesn't keep building the buffer to the EOF, what can i do about this? maybe I should just go back to getting the file(downloading it). it seems like its universal in all browsers to operate in this fashion. it wasn't always like this. in the old days the program would continue to build the buffer until it reached the end of the video. because then , even if the server streaming to us is slow, we can pause and go make a sandwich or something and when we come back, by that time it has buffered enough to not catch up with itself. maybe someone needs to make one. it would be an instant seller. "Media player that will keep buffering if you pause" .
somehow this feels like Netscape / Explorer gate. or some attempt to reduce traffic on the internet. its f ing annoying whatever it is.

    Hi!
Im crap with technology. I've bought a budget price range Samsung Smart 4k Tv for my bedroom, i have a Toshiba in the living room.
All my devices in the house are compatible with 5ghz frequency wifi, but this samsung tv i've only found out that's its compatible with the 2.4ghz frequency = slower (on 5ghz i get between 50-80 mbps download and around 10 mbps upload. On the 2.4ghz i only get 8 - 12 mbps upload with the tv, but with the iphone i get 20 - 30 mbps upload.
I bought a powerline adapter and the 8mbps - 12 mbps on the tv with the 2.4ghz frequency is now double, around the 20-30mbps mark.
That should be enough to watch on my subscription iptv which works fine on laptop or the toshiba tv (although those are on the 5ghz frequency band).
My suspicion is that this budget range Samsung Tv has low storage memory. Could that be a reason for buffering? It has in total 1 GIG , and with the default apps and the running of the tv itself, it has consumed 700mb of that 1000mb storage. When i change channels on my IPTV , every channel is painstakingly slow to load. It's buffering percentage by percentage. Took around 12 seconds - 20 seconds for each channel to load when i change channels, and since i've connected via powerline adapter, its around 8 seconds - 12 seconds, even with 20mbps - 30mbps improved speed on the 2.4ghz
    a) why is the speed test readings on my tv half the speed my laptop even if i connect to the 2.4ghz band on the laptop? Is it my processor too slow on my mart tv? or CPU slow?
I know it's something connected to memory or cpu as when i go to setting to clear cache, and press ok, i see just pressing ok makes the CPU percentage run from 10% - 30% when idle, straight to 100% Cpu.
I don't want to spend more money buying a box or firestick. What is the issue here in your opinion? And what is the cheapest option to fix it? I can't give the tv back anymore. If it's just the CPU and i cannot do anything about it, then it is what it is, or if it's low RAM storage? Is there a possibility to increase that?
    thanks!

    • @TechDoctorUK

clear cache yes but stopping background apps no android is a rather complex os just let it handle closing apps, best bet is to restart your device at least once a day dont bother closing back ground apps. the task killer app wont work if anything it will make it worse. android is pretty much optimized programmers no what they are doing. but that being said if the source is broken nothing is going to fix it. u could try pausing the video for 30 seconds to let the buffer fill. same with kodi's advancedsettings, xml file cached used to work years ago it doesnt work now, people who say it do , just a placebo ask any kodi developer they will tell u default settings are best.

I noticed all your links, didn’t show “need resolve” for real debrid. I’ve been seeing a lot of links appearing like this and I can’t get the link to load. Is there a way to fix in settings for real debrid for these to be removed and to start working?

I have real debrid, with 160 MBPS connection, and was getting nonstop buffering for a 5GB movie. Is there a setting in real debrid to change in order for it to be working properly?
