@@jakejutras5420 Hey man! It took me awhile to get my thoughts straight so I could reply to you. Truthfully, I agree 2/3 with you. It's just the matter of not caring about others' feelings that's tripping me up In the past, I'd have straight up agreed with you, cuz I dig your vibes and people-pleasing has been a major part of the 'old me.' Allow me to explain, (I don't intend to correct your assumption btw haha. Just giving my perspective) I totally get the idea of being strong and not being influenced by others' feelings. In a way, it's necessary otherwise we can lose the drive to help others see differently or to correct blatantly false assumptions (like ahem someone up there lol). But to me, at this stage, this prescription seems like trampling over others' feelings. Like, why does correcting someone have to intentionally hurt them? And that seems too abusive/narcissistic/etc to me. Well, that's my personal fear, given I've been living on the other side of the spectrum: giving others' feelings WAY too much importance, yk? And ik firsthand what that entails (emotional manipulation, guilt-tripping, being taken advantage of, feeling like a ykw if someone's disappointed etc are so so real). So 💯% I don't advocate giving others' feelings sm importance either! Maybe you'll think I'm silly or whatever, however I'm terrified of becoming the people I resent, of becoming a 'bully' from the former 'victim with a chip on the shoulder.' I'm sick of not speaking up (out of fear of the others' reactions based on past xp of doing so etc) and that only adds to my lack of self-worth but sometimes I do want to speak up (but the backlash makes me retreat like a turtle 🐢). Hope this makes sense Like, ik not everyone is evil or has ill intent, but most people do, unfortunately, like this Karen lmao. And while some people ARE nice and not crazy entitled (in enforcing their usually distorted truth), isn't it undeniable that most people WILL walk over you, if you let them (aka if you don't push back) and then blame you for it? Maybe they're not entirely wrong haha Anyway, I'm doing my best to keep my head up high. To get back up is what matters anyway, yeah? And I hope I can balance b/w valuing people's feelings (perhaps for a start, of those people I do value? Rather than every Karen, Ken and rando) yet being assertive enough to speak up when I feel necessary Anyway, you seem like an intelligent person (indeed a rarity on this side of yt lmao). Americans really do greet strangers randomly that I find it strange myself. 😂 Sometimes I'm not in the mood to socialize and I may come off as rude to them when I ignore them
Not the younger generation 😂
I love how innocent Jackie is and how well the line he says hits, then you get the interviewer who starts talking about some stupid breakfast shit.
Yeah, what’s up with the breakfast menu list? 😶
@@farialmab4723 you think Rosie O'Donnell isn't always thinking about food?
That completely threw me off.
Maybe she meant that if you started saying random breakfast items people would think you don't speak English and avoid talking?
@@JonatasAdoM I've got no idea mate. But it's so wack
@@JonatasAdoM I think she meant when you encounter someone, you can try talking to yourself or act like you’re pondering something and people will see that you’re busy and won’t bother you. For example, saying the items off your grocery list.
How much handsome jackie in this interview wowwww 😂😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰🥰
It’s the first time I found him handsome. ❤
@@dawnlittle2501 he was always handsome
Young Jackie Chan 😍😍😍❤️😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Homie could gerrit
he was still 40 years old in this haha
Such a cutie!
My personal thanks to one of my all time favourite actors Mr. Jackie Chan.
A young Jackie chan. Honestly I still think he's as cute as he was back then as he is now. I love Jackie Chan he's awesome he's adorable I want to take him home with me and I want to just talk to him and give him a great big hug.
cringe
Now, you just have to look like you're busy with your phone, a perfect disguise! Haha
@U.R. Hence why they said "now".
Makes me sad that there will never be another one like this legend. He exudes so much positive and warm energy. Watching him always makes me smile
😭
He's still alive so chill 🤣
@@mypraystation8566 He will be alive today and dead tomorrow. That's how quickly life moves and there wont be anyone like him. He is already 68, it isnt an unsual thought to have.
Now I Understood why Jakie is still special ... A humble blaster😂❤❤❤❤ Love you Jakie
This how introvert is made😂
Jackie was so cute 😭😭😍
He's talking about the American people
Now, you don’t have to worry about that. People just walk into the elevator with their heads down, eyes glued to their phone screens.
He's so adorable❤😂
Well at least he wont be leaving without a wholesome breakfast
He didn't get the egg tho, lol
''wholesome''
That is part of another question in same interview, when Jackie first arrived in usa, he practiced to how to order food in english. And my english just like Jackie also.
Can I get full video link please
^the man has spoken
Thank you!!!
I'm still waiting for American people to be polite to me on any elevator. 53 years and counting.
😂😂😂 i fucking died laughing on the floor
I think it was his vibes lol
move to the south lol.
@@TheJazzy1980*out of
@@TheJazzy1980 dweller of the south here. I’ll save you the trouble- ppl aren’t tht much nicer here in reality. In fact the rudeness ppl display with regards to “elevator etiquette” on a daily basis is something that regularly pisses me off lol. I have to use them multiple times a day & I can confirm ppl are shitty regardless of what region you visit or live in.
Jackie is such a positive person man, love him ❤
I’ve always had a crush on Jackie Chan he’s just so handsome and charming
Greetings dear, I came across your beautiful comment, I have to go over and say hello, your perspective
You should do a romance movie with him because nobody hires him .😂😊
So in other words if I play yellow face I have a chance?

One of the most remarkable Asian actors to have success in Hollywood.
Now we know why we see people suddenly tying shoelaces when we walk into the elevator 😂
It’s incredible his acting skills just his gestures alone made me understand what He was saying

lol I was just thinking that the best way to avoid conversation in America is to pretend to not know English. 😂
Bacon, egg, toast, milk. Ah yes, great banger there Rosie.
He is so cute even today
Hi, my name is Michael Wei, from China, born and raised in New York, United States of America. I am a doctor.
I would love to know more about you I hope you don't mind my friend

“American people very polite”
Just wait until he meets Canadians
Rumble in the Bronx was filmed in Canada.
He haven't met any karen yet.
Canadian adults, Canadian teens/young adults are the biggest degenerates
Wait ‘till he meets me!😤 (I will treat him like Alfred does Batman)
Basically he saying they talk everything at first meeting there is nothing left to talk on next encounters 😂😂😂😂
Incorrect. He literally talks about how he didn’t speak English. That was his problem with it.
than his script was, pick up the jacket
Thank God he didn't came to Mexico, he would have ended up married and with 2 kids from that conversation
¿D q hablas- está d moda q las muchachas quieran procrear con chales n México hoyendía?

New technique unlocked
How can someone be this adorable Oh my
He's not, he cheated on his wife and and had a kid with the other woman. His daughter from that relationship is homeless now and even her mother abandoned her because she's gay. He knows all this and doesn't care at all.
I am from India and I can relate, when people are too polite it feels uncomfortable, like just go dude, don't hold the door open for me😂 we are not rude, you guys are too polite
No, mr.jackie is not uncomfort, he just can't speak english very well so he decide to avoid the conversation.
The feminist of the States will love you.
He should come to France, especially Paris no one says hi or talk to strangers, even if you say hi they start to be suspuscious of you asking for something and they just run away or pretend to don't hear you or see you, no need to tie your shoes lol. I am French and that really baffled me when I lived in Paris.
Aah cool ..Im shy but always had the dream of living in France for a year.
I’m glad to hear everyone is just as anti-social as I am 😃
I'm American, and I still get thrown off when a random person walking by starts saying hello then proceeds a short conversation
Such a handsome man
He is soo handsome 🥰🥰
When I don't want to talk to people, I'd just take out my mobile phone.

Me too
It’s funny that people always talk bad about Americans but we really are polite to foreigners. Obviously bad areas are bad areas if you go to those places but if your on vacation here, you don’t have to worry about someone trying to overcharge you, your not gonna get kidnapped and resorts are always extremely helpful and try there best to accommodate
Getting insulted instead of getting mugged isn’t being nice,it’s nicer in comparison only.
Plus the same stuff can happen in the US so it’s not like safety is guaranteed.
He look🤩SOooo handsome😍 in white suit❤

I have heard and read it‘s even worse elsewhere
@Silent Man USA the greatest Country? Hahahahahaha yes sure. You are murder. And your President cant Even talk one sentence clearly 😂😂😂

Youth does that, age takes it away.
He mastered this. He's ignored and disowned his own daughter for years now.

@@Ask8613 That sounds good, let's go with that
the full interview makes much more sense
The suggestion she made shows why her show no longer exists.
Your comment only shows your ignorance. It was a bit she was playing off of because earlier he told her he had to practice how to order food when he didn't know English.
Knowledge is strength and assumptions make you a fool.
@@jakejutras5420 dang. Found you, fellow kindred soul. Jokes aside, how does one survive when like the majority of people around you are presumptuous? When not being a fool (steering away from assumptions, gossip bla bla) is conflated with being 'wannabe intellectual' or stuckup? Sorry for any inconvenience but ig sometimes it gets too much and I'm griping about this to you lol
@@beshooketh9333 no worries man, you aren't a bother at all. You just have to keep your head high, correct false assumptions where you find them, and not care about whether peoples feelings get hurt.
@@jakejutras5420 Hey man! It took me awhile to get my thoughts straight so I could reply to you. Truthfully, I agree 2/3 with you. It's just the matter of not caring about others' feelings that's tripping me up
In the past, I'd have straight up agreed with you, cuz I dig your vibes and people-pleasing has been a major part of the 'old me.'
Allow me to explain, (I don't intend to correct your assumption btw haha.
Maybe you'll think I'm silly or whatever, however I'm terrified of becoming the people I resent, of becoming a 'bully' from the former 'victim with a chip on the shoulder.'
I'm sick of not speaking up (out of fear of the others' reactions based on past xp of doing so etc) and that only adds to my lack of self-worth but sometimes I do want to speak up (but the backlash makes me retreat like a turtle 🐢).
Hope this makes sense
Like, ik not everyone is evil or has ill intent, but most people do, unfortunately, like this Karen lmao. And while some people ARE nice and not crazy entitled (in enforcing their usually distorted truth), isn't it undeniable that most people WILL walk over you, if you let them (aka if you don't push back) and then blame you for it? Maybe they're not entirely wrong haha
Anyway, I'm doing my best to keep my head up high. To get back up is what matters anyway, yeah? And I hope I can balance b/w valuing people's feelings (perhaps for a start, of those people I do value? Rather than every Karen, Ken and rando) yet being assertive enough to speak up when I feel necessary
Anyway, you seem like an intelligent person (indeed a rarity on this side of yt lmao). I usually don't converse like this but idk, why not? What are your thoughts on this?
@@beshooketh9333 I think you hit the nail on the head, but man was that a lot of reading 😂
Jackie Chan is too cute. ❤
Living through the 90s and 2000s, I remember this. That’s how he used to talk about the time he came here but his English improved a lot since then. Back in the early 80s he spoke no English at all and relied mostly on translators on movie sets, similar to me but I’m not an actor 😄
