I always found the four strand to be the hardest and have never quite got it right but I found your video to be the easiest to follow, and I can now braid with 4 strands successfully, thanks for explaining this so well and making it easier for me

When I try to roll it out to stretch it, it just springs back! Does that mean I kneaded it too much?
Let is relax for a few minutes, then it will be easier to roll out.
