George was the best character, with Georgie following closely behind.
Goergie becomeing the main charicter of the last couple seasons is why they decided to make a spinoff about him and mandy I just hope they retcon their divorce

Killing him off-screen was kinda anti-climatic as it was the big "change" in the story.
I agree. I didn't like what the writers did with George's death either. I wish they would have shown the fatal heart attack
I disagree... it had more impact him just leaving for work like a normal day.... but never returning.....
It’s realistic to have it off screen it would’ve been too traumatic we already saw George survive one heart attack

I haven’t properly seen the episode so I’m going with what I’ve seen
I felt them telling the family of his death was a good way to portray it but I felt it was a bit rushed what I mean is he went off to work then in the middle of that there wasn’t much commotion or anything it was just them preparing for the portrait then boom knock on the door and they are just like yeah he’s dead I mean it’s realistic but I get what you mean but it still really hit me hard
Its sad that this show is ending. The new sitcoms coming out are not worth watching.
Man I can’t wait for the finally to give us the last bit of Mary’s villain arc where she goes to completely bad mouthing her late husband immediately after he dies
Sheldon still had a mistaken belief related to why he now knocks 3 times. He thought he caught his father doing it with another woman. It was in fact Mary who had gotten a Bavarian outfight in Germany for role playing!!!!
The act of catching his father with another woman also occurred while Sheldon was on Spring Break at an age that put him in high school. That episode occurred on the young Sheldon series but the affair never happened….
Maybe Sheldon (the character) had to vilify his father just to be able to cope with the fact that he was gone.
You can look on the young actors face and see that his entire world and reality is shattering, he’ll never recover from it.
The character moved on (forward) but never recovered.
He refused to get close to anyone, and emotionally distanced himself away from everyone, especially his siblings. This lasted until his adulthood, until he met friends (Big Bang) who would “love him inspite of himself” and “love him through it”.
Sheldon's stoies about his dad are colored by his perspective Like how Sheldon thought he cheated on Marry when in fact the woman he saw his dad with was Marry in a blonde wig
This sets up the next sequel, The Coopers, coming in the Fall of 2025. It follows Georgie's rise to become Dr. Tire. It'll portray Georgie and Mandy, and of course Missy.
Can’t wait for that the entire family is pretty funny on their own
Actually 2 sources say the new spinoff will start Fall of 2024 in September (2024 not 2025).It will be called Georgie and Mandy First Marriage which many reviewers have said this is the name. I doubt they will call it The Coopers, as there is already a show called The Conners which is renamed from the original Rosanne show. The Coopers sounds too close in name.
In bbt when Sheldon invited Georgie to his wedding they mentioned their dad being dead, and that's why Sheldon and his brother hated each other.
The anamosity between the siblings could be handled by Sheldon holding onto his "affair" truth and Missy and George trying to get him to see it was a consentual role play. Sheldon always thinks he is smarter than everyone and correct.

I don't believe I will watch the new spinoff. George was the only character I liked on Young Sheldon and now they killed him.

My question is how will Georgie support Mary and Missy when he has a family of his own CC and Mandy has to take care of
Maybe by using his tire business.
"How" indeed. But that's his responsibility as a man, and now THE man of the family. And based on how his life turned out, he definitely fulfilled that role successfully.
Mandy can work and probably did work to help support the Coopers. Let’s also not forget that Georgie is going to expand on his father in laws business. It would be tough but they did manage to make it in the end.
@@ArthurMorgan-nc7lm This is exactly what I think will be the focus of the sequel, The Coopers. Georgie's rise as Dr. Tire, Missy's motherhood issues, maybe the tear-jerker will be Dale's passing in a way like Big George.
Maybe Mary and Missy get jobs. There's an idea
The cooper Family teared apart but a new one would soon rise bringing the coopers back together

They killed a great character on the show. The least likable character is Sheldon. Mary has always taken deep dive toward horrible but I sympathize with her in this.

This makes me mad as hell. Didn't know there was two episodes last Thursday. Saw the first one and then left to get dinner. Had just told my Mom that i thought they weren't going to include George dying since there were only a few episodes left and he was on a good roll. Crap.
This show is funny and should not be canceled. I am not a fan of the character Sheldon, but the other characters are funny. The stories are funny. CBS makes no sense to me. I watch some of the other shows that they keep and never laugh once. The funny shows they take off. CBS, BOOO!!!

This was inevitable. They are continuing the show but no george or sheldon.
Actually, it’s ending after 2 episodes left on Thursday. It’s not cancelling. There’s a difference. Also, the show wouldn’t be the same without George
They are making a sequel based on the family so yes they are getting it right, it’s just sad George senior will not be part of it, and if they stay true to that two story lines Sheldon went away to California and. Ever spoke to his brother in person for ten years.
What’s the big deal, we all knew from The Big Bang Theory that Sheldon lost his father when he was 14. Well Sheldon turned 14 in this final season. So no surprise there right????

This is something that families have to deal with in real life every day. Hopefully George had life insurance. Also, George Jr. will step up, help his family, and eventually become Dr. Tire.
