    Do these roll smooth and fast on the streets I’m swapping out a set of macOS assegais out for the barzo xc trail set wanted a versatile tire that can perform well on most terrain, such as the streets on a 27.5” setup

      Mezcal yes, Barzo less so. I currently have the Peyote up front and a it's a little less aggressive than the Barzo.

      Most people run Barzo front and Mezcal rear. That's what I have right now both 29x2.6 on i29 Flow rims

      @@frankschock9981 My set up is a bit weird since I see a lot of granite and hard pack red clay. I run a 2.6 Mezcal up front, and a Schwalbe 2.35 Rock Razor rear. Very fast rolling. I might switch to the more traditional Mezcal rear and Barzo front in the future as I am finding my current combo a bit slick in the wet. The Mezcal very good in my experience.

    Mezcals are fantastic, tried so many different tires over the years and nothing comes close to a Mezcal.

      How about durability; how many miles/km do you get out of the Mezcals?

    • @dvxShoeN

      I rode a marathon yesterday with the Barzo front and mezcal rear 2.35 and I have to say the Mezcal is not the best tire for it. It is absolutely great on forest ground, gravel and asphalt and can hardly be beaten, as soon as it gets more technical with loose ground and roots, it cannot convince at all. he also has problems in the mud. I would go on the Barzo front and rear anyway, which is a bit slower but generates more grip or you can buy the continental Mountain kings which are excellent

      @yengsabio5315 3 года назад

      @@dvxShoeN As per experience, Mezcal tucks in a lot of mud onto its knobs. It does not eject mud off the tyre. Same is true with Maxxis Ikon. It's really not good for specific wet biking applications where terrain is muddy. Here in the Philippines, it's wet season. If I use Mezcal or Ikon, I'm to cautious on the trail for the reasons I mentioned above. But on the tarmac or paved surfaces, both tyres are fine.

    • @hendrixinfinity3992
      @hendrixinfinity3992 14 дней назад

      You need super wide tyres with knobs. It really doesn't matter too much which you go for just go for the biggest your tyre can handle. This combo would work, I probably wouldn't go for anything lighter.

    It says Vittoria tire size 2.35, but when measuring with a caliper 2.25?

    • @hendrixinfinity3992
      @hendrixinfinity3992 14 дней назад

      Depends on your internal rim width. Every tyre size has a "preferred" rim width which is usually around half the tyre stated size. It's also not actually in inches, it's a standardised iso. So 2.35x27.5 is 57-584 with 57 being the tyre width in mm (2.24inches), and 584 (22.9 inches) being the wheel diameter in mm. 27.5 is not a real size but is closest to the wheel+2.6 tyre.
      I currently have super wide rims with regular 2.35 mezcals and they measure close to 2.5

      Hi Grey Wolff, Riding Mezcals for the first time this year. Generally ride 10km to and from my local trail network and have no issues humming along at 30+kph . These are the fastest MTB tire I have ridden to date (Albeit being the Graphene 1.0 which has less rolling resistance vs 2.0)

    Sono ottime fino a che non trovi quelle difettose, che si crepano tutte in pochissimo tempo, causa difetti della gomma. Le stesse senza graphene vanno ugualmente bene e non hanno lo stesso difetto.
