    Whether your visiting Salem or moving to Salem, this video is for you!!! Stay updated with what's happening in Salem, MA all year long by going to the Salem Haunted Happenings page @ www.hauntedhappenings.org To learn more about Salem, MA and to get information on parking go to www.salem.org/ or www.salem.com
    I hope you find this video helpful! I will also have a few shorter videos on Gallows Hill, where they buried the Salem witches, Hocus Pocus filming locations, and how the Salem witches connect to the Conjuring World (Ed & Lorraine Warren's investigations). Please like, subscribe, comment, & share so that RUclips will share this content with others. Please also share if you've found out that you're a Salem witch descendant and whom you're descended from!!!
    As the tour guide, I tried to cover as much ground as possible but please visit Salem to experience it all for yourself. I do highly recommend the witch museums, the pirate museum, and The House of Seven Gables. Anything run by the city of Salem, the historical society, or the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM). And of course, you can learn a lot about Salem History with a little research of your own - even by watching videos like these. ;)
    Again, I hope you enjoy!!! And remember, it's all a bunch of Hocus Pocus!!!

    Great video! I understand that Giles Corey was tortured and pressed at the Howard Street Cemetary location when it was just a field. First hand accounts indicate that it was in a field very close to the dungeon, by where the Sherrif's office is/was. There is a memorial for him and his wife at Crystal lake, in Peabody, MA. Good stuff!!

    This is one of the better tour vids of salem. On my first visit was overwhelmed. I didn't know any good places to eat or historical sites. I wish I knew the trolley went all through salem as a tour and one ticket for one day was an all day pass on and off. It helps to know where everything is at and it's very informative. If you do another vid. On salem it'd be cool to see good places to eat , historical sites and places worth visiting the most. Many vids. On salem don't include these things or just a small portion. For those going back and forth from Boston to salem or through out this area I can't suggest the ferry and Uber enough it'll really save you some headache.

    Hello and thanks for sharing the video and stroll in famous historic Salem Mass. Im a native born from the Bronx and currently living in Albuquerque N.M. ? But in the 1980? I lived in Salem on Bridge street ... I also stayed one night at the Hawthorne Hotel and would spend time during my summers in the Salem common. I use to also eat breakfasts ? At Reds next to the Salem Police department....and would on occasion? Hop on the T commuter train at Riley Plaza. I miss the N.Y.C. and Boston Areas. My friends here are actually talking of traveling up to Boston and Salem next October and one of my friends here? Is a native born here in Albuquerque N.M. and has never been to the Northeast so ? He will be in for a experience and treat. Anyway ? I enjoyed the video . Happy Halloween and holidays to youse out there. One more thing here my lady? You must be a native born ? Or have lived here for most or all your life ? But the tour Here? Was supreme again? Grazie mille Bella. Ciao.👋👋😉 Thank you Liz.

      That's great, I'm sure you'll love it there. There is more traffic if you live downtown, but it's worth it. I miss being able to leave my apartment and see the ocean and be able to walk to all the shops and restaurants. The costs of apartments has skyrocketed though, but I guess that's happening in most cities. I just love the history and the historical homes and streets. Even if you can live on the outskirts within walking distance, that's nice too. But Salem has cheap parking garages and parking is cheap all year except for October. I've lived in Peabody and Beverly too. The whole area on the north shore has so much to do. I think you'll love it. I'm excited for you.

    • @Connected5D
      @Connected5D  Год назад

      I'm sorry I missed this. If you're just spending the day, you should definitely go to the Essex St. Pedestrian Mall which really is Essex St. by the Witch City Mall. There's a lot of great shops and the Visitor Center and Peabody Essex Museum are there. The Witch History Museum (next to The Hotel Salem on Essex St.) and the Visitor Center usually have maps of downtown. Even if you have more than 1 day, it's a good place to start. There are a lot of shops and restaurants. I'm not going to lie, Salem needs to up their game when it comes to restroom facilities, but the Visitor Center has bathrooms inside if you don't want to use the port-a-potties on the street. There are also public restrooms behind Waite & Peirce down by the waterfront. There's still a faint red line that encompasses most of the downtown area. It's painted on the sidewalk so if you can see it, you can follow the redline around town or know that you're still in the downtown area. I would just explore from there. The streets all connect with one another, just try to stay around Essex and Derby (& New Derby) streets and you'll get to see a lot. I'll do a video in the future on a map of downtown, I'm just not sure I'll have a chance to post it before you go. I hope you have a great time!!! :) Let us know, after you go, what your favorite places were! 🎃🧡

    Hello there! Thank you for the video! I am going to Salem this weekend. Where can we park for free? I am willing to do whatever it takes to save money from parking… please let me know. Thank you!

    • @Connected5D
      @Connected5D  Год назад +1

      I totally understand. It's really hard to find parking, even for people working during Halloween. Unfortunately, for a lot of the towns/cities in NE, the infrastructure wasn't designed to support the population. So if there are any local secrets, then the free/cheap parking is usually taken up by the people working in downtown Salem. A suggestion though would be, if it's a weekend day, you could park at Collins Middle School in Salem and walk. They have parking at their Jackson St. entrance. I don't think they charge. I've parked there when I had to rent UHauls. Or you could park at the Planet Fitness in Salem and get an Uber to downtown. Planet Fitness is 24 hours and it's in a area with shops. I used to have my family and friends park there when they came to spend the night because I only had 1 parking spot. Here's the address for Planet Fitness: 29 Traders Way, Salem, MA 01970, it would be a 2-3 miles max to anywhere downtown that you want to go if you get a cab, or take an UBER or LIFT. I hope you have a great time! 🎃 And thank you for watching!!! 🧡🤍🖤
      Let us know if you find free or cheap parking somewhere else.

    I hear what you are saying in your video, but as a business owner it's wrong to advise people to stay away during winter months. There are people who love the snow and New England is a great place in all seasons. Businesses don't get a discount on their lease during the colder months and they depend on business all year long.
