And you take down the curtains for cleaning and/or seasonal changing how exactly?
I use tie top curtains so I untie, wash and then tie them back up. The rods do come down easily with a few screws, so it wouldn’t be a huge deal to remove one side, especially since it wouldn’t be very frequently. The durability and the look makes it worth it, though 😃
Trying to do this for my pergola but I need the rod to be over 10ft. 134” to be exact. Any ideas? Perhaps get two rods and attach together in the middle? Also, any solutions that would make it easy to change out your curtains?
They make couplers that would allow you to connect two together. Sometimes they are called unions. My curtains are tie top so I can just untie them when I need to wash.
How did you get the curtains on? Hangers?
I used tie top curtains so they are in a bow around the pipe

Yeah! The gather sign stayed and I’m working on making the curtains right now 😁
With a fixed rod, how are you attaching the curtains? We’re planning on Velcro tab top curtains. Our project is outdoors so we plan on painting the pipe first.
What's the length of the small pipe that joins to the flange? And how is pipe measured, from end-to-end or is just the unthreaded length measured?
