Also fun fact about Conjurers the can get a unicorn mount:
When you get lvl 30 Conjurer, there's an npc in the conjurer's guild that will give you a side quest for the mount.
I'll repeat ,THIS IS LVL 30+ CONJURER NOT WHITE MAGE! If you have the white mage soul stone on the quest won't be available, you have the take off the stone.

Oh no, not secretly at all. We WILL sacrifice your blood to the Lily. Multiple times in fact. But don't worry, you'll live. After all, we need more fresh blood, and we can't get it if you're dead.
WHM was my starting class and remains one of my favorites. When I am feeling lazy, I go SCH so that Eos can do the heavy lifting, but WHM is best for the seriously damage doing end game fights.
it's cause of these "10 reasons to play x" videos of yours that convinced me to try out warrior! i started playing ffxiv almost 2 years ago and i was strictly a dragoon main.....like i was too scared to try anything else U _ U once i finally finished post endwalker a few weeks ago i unlocked dark knight and LOVED it even though i was terrified of tanking. then i watched your warrior video and had to try it out and DAMN do i love it too!!!!!!

You earned a successful eye roll at the glaring joke XD that was good.
I like WHM because it doesn't try to distract me with unnecessary class mechanics that feel like they were just put there to slow me down (looking at you, SGE). WHM hits you with a nice, focused package of big heals, surprisingly good damage, and some of the most satisfying AoE abilities in the game. It feels like the most consistent and reliable healer once everything comes together. WHM also has great animations, beautiful spell effects, and some absolutely gorgeous glams for the staff. I never would have thought it would be this satisfying to nuke things with flowers.
Everything was so cute here so now I'm a white mage. Thank you!
Love the new animations you used for the video. Hope things weren't too bad the last month or so. I've never watched a stream before, but maybe I'll try and catch one in the new year. I'm getting into FF14 for the first time after years of trying to get myself to do so, so thanks for vids like this. Thinking of going Miqo'te for my first character, as I enjoyed the character Y'jhimei I saw appear out of nowhere in FFXV. 😁

I started with white mage but after the first wipe in a dungeon I started to have panic when I have to play it, in fact now it's the job for one of my alt, because I like the white mage lore a lot so I don't want to abandon it completely. Anyway, about the elemental thing I don't know about the next caster job, but if I understood right at the beginning there was more enphasis on the 3 elements white mage uses (air/wind, earth and water) and it was cool, also it was cool that the other 3 (fire, tunder and ice) were black mage's elements.

I'm late to the healer party, I still don't prefer it because I don't like any responsibility LOL but when I do play the role, WHM is usually one of my first choices because of how simple it is. As with Summoner and others, idk why people complain about simpler jobs: there needs to be something for everyone and sometimes I just want to turn my brain off, come on!
7:56 has been my weapon since HW for WHM. I will never change it.
Conjurer/WHM was my first class/job in FFXIV, and I still main it to this day. Love it :)
I've used those gloves in glams before. They are very nice and fit into almost any outfit.
I vastly prefer the look and playstyle of Sage as a healer, but WHM is the least stressful healer for me personally. I just make sure to stack group & individual regen on tank every so often for pulls or bosses. They have so many "oshit" quick heals too, for when you get too wrapped up in DPSing xD
I've been playing WHM heavily during Heavensward and I'm extremely tempted to get back into the game at the moment. But up until yesterday, the last time I logged on was almost 8 years ago and to be honest I kinda forgot everything. Thanks to your video, it's all slowly coming back to me!

As a newbie I love WHM. I'm far away enough that I can see all the mechanics and don't have to guess when to shield. Also there is enough damage that questing isn't so painful
I miss the stone/aero/water focus of WHM. I like the pretty light based magic too but I just wish there was a balance.
WHM was the class I played to learn how to heal, both in FFXIV and in MMORPGs in general. It's still my main healer.
Holy Spam is Best Spam.
Solution for healing wrong target: Make a macro for every spell to specifically target your focus target. Then set focus target to your tank at the start of the run. Now you don't have to keep manually switching targets to DPS or heal.
I.. suppose the DPS in your party or the second tank/healer will just die then?
@@roy2195 Nope. I have a second non-macro copy of every healing spell in a second hotbar to manually target and use as needed.
The hotbars are set up as follows: normal number keys are all macro-ed on focus target. Shift+ for manual heals. Self-healing is just targeting an enemy and using the non-macro skill.
They seriously have some of the most creative weapons!
Whm is truly a great class. While you may have to focus more on your mp usage compared to other healer classes especially when your under lvl 50 after that even tho the dungeons start getting more tougher you really get a lot of awesome moves that do require mp to heal like benediction which is the best healing ability for any healer imo that skill saved my team so many times and as long as you have a set strategy on how you heal rather than throwing your healing spells at random you’ll have nothing to worry bout even if your tank screws it up for u

I’m kinda new but I’ve reached endwaller and love grinding for cool weapons, I have to know what the staff with butterfly’s is so I can try and get it. I love butterflies
I enjoy playing WHM, mainly because I feel comfortable playing 'how low can you go' with my tanks on WHM. With bene, up to three stacks of lilies, tetra, lilybell, two shields, etc, there's a lot you can do when your tank gets *just* low enough that he won't die, but, you're able to get some good damage in... And make your tank sweat *just a bit*. You gotta watch what you have left in your kit, and keep stock of what you've used if you're going to play the game though. Don't wanna have used up bene and two lilies and have your tank at 10%. Be smart about it.
Am I a sadistic healer? Possibly. I mostly do this strategy with friends, or cocky tanks, though. Just gotta remind people sometimes, healers control life. That also means they control death, as well

Also Square Enix hasn’t really picked up on the fact that WHM is liked by both Men and Women. So if you’re a guy you will 100% end up just having to wear a casual glam or something boring because they refuse to make more masculine looks for WHM. Or at least a couple ambiguous glams that can work for both. They basically just expect the Male WHM to wear a dress in heals. Even the weapon glams are aggressively feminine more or less
Good reason to main this hlr:it restores fat stacks of HP instead of letting an NPC fairy auto heal or buffing yourself and then casting a HP restore pers second buff etc

For some reason, your accent makes "White Mage" and "Black Mage" sound very similar to my ear. I find that utterly bewildering. Am I going crazy?
You got the #1 reason (blood lily) and the #2 reason (holy) but you forgot the #3 reason, Assize, and the #4 reason, combining reason 1, 2, and 3 together to chunk half the health of a trash pull in 3 seconds.

I honestly haven't touched WHM since unlocking Sage...
My best WHM Moment.. me Gunbreaker Tank with a Whitemage.. yeah i know that story is not new but i managed to _waste_ a Benediction literally in the frame i get it (i was maybe on 100% life for maybe half a second :D ) I love to be a Gunbreaker Main for this moments.. :P
Just to add to the last point: THE FKN ARR WHM RELIC!!!! Its so fkn gorgeous!! Might be my fav relic of them all fr!

Started as CNJ somewhat by accident, and almost 3 years later, still consider myself a WHM main.
10 reasons to play samurai? I've been enjoying the anime fighting mans.
White Mage's transition from elementalist into Light Mage is very interesting, and thematically makes sense. White Mages at 70 or below are all about the Earth, Air and Water magic, with a dash of Light magic in Holy. With Shadowbringers, the land is just filled with Light and the story reasons, which in turn corrupts the Warrior of Light's connection to the other elements, making all their spells shift towards Light. We then see the spells slowly shift backwards towards the elements of the Source in Endwalker with Aquaveil and Liturgy of the Bell.
I like to imagine Afflautus Misery being the Warrior of Light's soul screaming and holding out against the onslaught of Light and desperately clinging to any Darkness it can find; drawing out Darkness from those being healed by the other Afflautus spells, manifesting as the Blood Lily.
Maybe this is just cope :D

even though pictomancer is cool, i really wish we had a druid or something that uses nature/flowers as their abilities, i got really disappointed when i played conj/whm and saw the shiny priest direction they were going.
probably the thing i hated the most was that glamours for whm were all robes. it was a running joke in my FC that when new gear came out the first words from the WHM and BLM were "so what new coloured robe do we get" Nicely though, lately their glamours have been FIRE!
Still doesn't beat Ranged DPS glamours,

As someone who plays whm occasionally I can confirm: There is only 1 whm brain cell shared among all players.

i play as a white mage for catharsis.. the other jobs just bore me. i feel more woken up and more alert when i am healing a party, as strange as that sounds, dps and dancer hardly interest me aside from monk, i swear any kind of dance beat works with that job

To blind yourself. I hate playing WHM because of holy. Disabling effects for one attack is silly.
As a tank player, hey all WHM's: don't use holy until after the tank is done pulling. Drives me up a wall as I see half the enemies I'm trying to pull still half a map away stun locked
The only time this happens is when the tank decides to stop mid pull and the WHM thinks you are stopped and drops their quick cast holy. Be more fluid with your pulls and it shouldn't happen. Either that or you run into a lot of utter trash WHMs.
I have never had this happen from a WHM when I am pulling personally but I do it on WHM on occasion on accident when the tank can't pull properly.
WHM main here, and I will forever love it! I have to admit that the accusations of it being the easiest healer by far are all true... but I love the holy healer aesthetic just way too much. All of the other healer archetypes just feel silly to me. WHM rocks that 'high priestess' vibe like no-one else can.

One should note that right about 50, WHM is pure pain. It gets better as you actually gain your toolkit, but really. This operating w/o primary parts of your toolkit at certain levels is utter agony (former WHM main). You are spot on about blinding heals.. so bright... blind.. can't see. Tank is attacking a tree because he's blind.
